    							WEARING YOUR PEDOMETER
    While gently holding the belt clip open, slide the pedometer 
    onto your belt or the top edge of your pants or skirt. It should 
    fit snugly and level, above one knee. 
    Note:  The pedometer should be as vertical as possible. 
    W alkers with larger stomachs may find it helpful to wear the 
    pedometer farther back on the bod y, toward one hip. 
    T o avoid losing or dropping your pedomete r, use the included 
    leash and clip to fasten the pedometer securely to your 
    clothing. 
    Attac hing the Leash:  Attach the pedometer to the leash by 
    looping the leash around the pedometer belt clip. Next, clasp 
    the waistband of your clothing with the attached clip.  Y ou can 
    also use a safety pin to fasten the leash to your clothing, loop 
    the leash through your belt or belt loop, or use a badge holde r. 
    VIEWING  YOUR RESUL TS
    Once you put on your pedomete r, it will automatically begin 
    to record your steps. Press the DA Y button to view today’s 
    step count. Press the  TOT AL button to view total steps taken.

    RESETTING  YOUR PEDOMETER

    A UT O MO VEMENT SENSOR
    1.  To filter out random movements, the unit remains in standby   
      mode until 5 continuous steps are registered. Only then are   
      the 5 steps calculated in, and an  Active indicator “ ▲” appears  
      on the upper left of displa y.
    2.  When regular walk/run movement stops, after 2 seconds the  
      timer pauses and the unit switches to standby status (Active   
      indicator “ ▲” disappears). 
    REPLA CING THE B ATTER Y
    When the display starts to dim or goes blank, it is time to replace 
    the battery . Y our pedometer uses one  T ype L
    1142 (LR43) 1.5 
    volt silver oxide batter y.  To replace:
    1 .  U sin g a  jeweler ’s s crewdr iv e r,  lo ose n s mal l   s cre w o n b ack  o f  
      unit.  Rem ove  b ack  o f ca se .
    2.  Slide the old battery gently out of its holde r. Replace it with a   
      new battery . The battery’s positive (+) terminal should be   
      FACE UP  while you put it into the pedomete r.
    3.  Gently press front and back of pedometer   case back togethe r,   
      being sure to line up slots and tabs at top and bottom of unit.
