    This guide describes the basic ope\Rration of R\f Viewer. \bor a more detailed\R description of 
    the operation, see the “Administrator \fanual” on the supplied C\RD-RO\f.
    \boolbar
    The toolbar has buttons for accessing 
    commonly used func\Rtions.
    Audio Panel
    Lets you send/receive live audio for a camera 
    or play back recorded audio.
    Camera Control
    Controls the setti\Rngs on the camera. See 
    “Controlling a Cam\Rera” on the other side\R of this 
    guide.
    \bimeline
    Displays recording information and past events. 
    Playhead
    Points to the time \Rcode being played. Drag the playhead to 
    change the time co\Rde of the video in\R the video window.Video Window
    Displays a live or a recorded vi\Rdeo from a camera.
    Viewing Area
    Place and arrange video windows in this 
    area.
    Live Events Log
    Displays events that occurred\R within the last ho\Rur when 
    the log is first o\Rpened after starting the Viewer.
    Camera Selector
    Displays a list of camer\Ras. Select the camera 
    you want to view from the list.
    [Search for:] searches for cameras in the list 
    that meet the sear\Rch criteria, such as the 
    camera name or tag.
    Starting/Exiting the Viewer
    1Double-click the [R\f\R Viewer] icon on th\Re desktop.
     The RM-Lite icon \phas a different appearance\f
    2Enter the [Host Na\Rme], [User Name] a\Rnd 
    [Password] and click [Connect].
    The Viewer starts\f

    [Record Now]Starts recording video\f 
    [Capture]
    Captures a sti\b\b frame of the disp\bayed video\f The sti\b\b frame can be saved\f
    [Viewer PTZ]
    You can zoom a region of the camera video in the video window using 
    Viewer PTZ (pan/ti\bt/zoom)\f
    [Search]
    Searches for events\f Video can be p\bayed back from an event in the search 
    resu\bts\f 
    \babs
    Tabs allow different layouts to be open at\R the 
    same time for quick access.
    (R\f-Lite does not s\Rupport the tabs functio\Rn.)

    Searching for a Camera and Viewing Video
    Search for a camera to\p view using various \psearch criteria\f
    Click the search button () on the 
    Camera Selector and sel\Rect the type of 
    search criteria.
    Type the search criteria to search for 
    the camera.

    Selecting an Event and Viewing the Video
    You can search for events and \pp\bay back video from an event in the\p search resu\bts\f 
    Double-click a camera in the search 
    results list to op\Ren a video window for 
    the camera.

    1Click [Search] on the \RToolbar to display the 
    [Event Search] dialog\R box. 
    Specify the search\R criteria and click [Search] 
    to start searching.
    Select the event you want to view and click 
    [Play Back Video]. 
    						
    							Playing Back Recordings

    \bast reverse (each click changes the speed in sequence: 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x)
    \bast forward (each click changes the speed in sequence: 2x, 5x, 10x)
    Switch from the rec\Rorded video to the\R live video.  Saves a specific recorded video in Quicktime format (*.mov) to a 
    desired location. Zoom in on the tim\Reline to display more detail and \Rzoom out to display 
    the entire timelin\Re.

    Click the video window of the 
    camera you want to use for 
    playback.
    2Click [Jump] to display the [Jump to Time] 
    dialog box.
    3Select a date and \Rtime, and click 
    [OK].

    1Click the video window of the 
    camera you want to use for 
    playback.
    3Click the time or event that you want to play back.

    2Drag to move the time display on the timeline.
    Playback Using the Timeline
    You cannot use [\bast Reverse], [Previous \brame], and [Next \brame] for recordings in \fP\REG-4 or H.264 format.  
     R\f-Lite does not su\Rpport \fPEG-4 or H.264 r\Recording.Note
     
    z Use “Playback Using the Timeline” to start playback at any 
    point, such as at \Revents. Use “Playback from a Specified\R 
    Time” to start playback at a specific ti\Rme.
     
    z You can play back video from multiple cameras 
    simultaneously, or play back video recorded at different 
    times with the same camera.

    2Click [Control] on the\R toolbar to displa\Ry the [Camera 
    Control] dialog bo\Rx.

    want to control.

    z Ask your administrator in advance about how to operate a camera while it 
    is recording.
    Note
    Pan (Right/Left) / \bilt (Up/Down)
    Use the arrow buttons to pan or t\Rilt a camera that has 
    the pan/tilt feature. 
    Zoom
    Drag the slider to c\Rhange the zoom. 
    Select Preset
    Select from a list\R of camera angles that you preset on 
    the camera.
    Advanced
    Adjust the camera image quality us\Ring the exposure or 
    smart shade control. 
    Control/Release
    All buttons on the [Cam\Rera Control] dialog \Rbox become 
    active.
    Click  to display a menu.
    • To change the size of the video wind\Row, change [Video Dis\Rplay Size].
    •    To make dark areas of the vid\Reo lighter, adjust the level of [Viewer
