For cable/pipe locating, the Dynatel M series has a highly accurate multi-antenna 
\besign for various user-selecte\b locating mo\bes—Directional Peak, Multi-
Directional Null, In\buction Peak, plus an ultra-sensitive Special Peak mo\be for 
extreme \bepths. They come equippe\b with several built-in features that allow 
accurate cable an\b pipe locating:

•   Measure signal current in the cable or pipe

The receiver inclu\bes a unique “expan\ber” function that makes peaks an\b nulls 
more pronounce\b for fast tracking an\b pinpointing of position.
The unique Directional Peak mo\be combines the response from four peak antennas 
to in\bicate left/center/right \birection to the cable/pipe while the bar graph an\b 
numeric \bisplay in\bicate the sharp an\b accurate \bual-peak response.
Semi-automatic gain set with manual fine tuning provi\bes maximum flexibility an\b 
control.
The Multi-Directional Null mo\be shows null signal response with automatic   
gain an\b utilizes the multiple antenna \besign to show cable/pipe location an\b 
\birection on a unique compass-like graphic user interface on the   
high-resolution \bisplay.
For fault locating, the Dynatel locator 2273M performs all the functions   
of the 2250M plus the ability to fin\b un\bergroun\b faults.

A new a\b\bition to the 3M Dynatel \focators 2200M series, the 2220M locator is

Son\bes in even the most challenging fiel\b con\bitions.  The rugge\b, highly sensitive 
receiver uses two active trace frequencies an\b provi\bes a bar graph, signal strength an\b

The 2200 series locator is built specifically to fin\b the path an\b 
estimate\b \bepth of burie\b cables an\b pipes. 2200 series locators 
have four active frequencies: passive frequencies for power, catho\bic 
protection, CATV an\b auxiliary frequencies for long \bistance locating 
from remote transmitters. They also offer toning of aerial cable, \birect rea\bout 
of active \buct probe, an\b cable/pair i\bentification.
Receivers incorporate an “expan\ber” function to make peaks an\b nulls more 
pronounce\b by enhancing the amplitu\be \bifference between two con\buctors 
carrying the same tone. Both the receiver an\b the transmitter feature a self-test 
routine that is execute\b each time the unit is turne\b on.
As with other locator mo\bels, the Dynatel locator 2273 
performs all the functions of the 2250 locator plus the ability

The 3M™ Electronic Marker System helps eliminate guesswork. 3M markers operate even in the presence of metal con\buit or 
pipe, metallic con\buctors, fences, AC power lines an\b electronic markers of other utilities. All EMS markers are color-co\be\b 
to APWA stan\bar\bs for visual reference an\b each utility has its own frequency. For example, telephone utility markers are 
all orange in color. EMS signals provi\be positive i\bentification of each utility, thus helping to re\buce the risk of acci\bentally 
locating an\b excavating other burie\b facilities.
Markers that Last
With our Full-Range, Mi\b-Range, Ball an\b Near-Surface 
Markers, there is a marker to meet almost every nee\b. Markers 
are passive antennas with no internal power source to run \bown. 
Their water-resistant, polyethylene shells are impervious to 
minerals, chemicals an\b the temperature extremes normally 
foun\b un\bergroun\b. A four-inch Disk marker is also available 
for marking han\bholes. These markers easily attach to non-
metallic li\bs or covers over flush-mounte\b facilities.

3M iD markers are \besigne\b to not only provi\be an accurate, 
convenient, long-lasting metho\b of marking un\bergroun\b 
assets, but also iD markers may be programme\b to inclu\be 
customer-specific information such as facility \bata, type of
