    Introduction
The Ultr aAV HDMI Distribution Amplifier (Splitter) featuring HDBase T
Lite accepts a signal from a single HDMI enabled audio/video source and \
splits the single input into 4 HDMI outputs. The audio/video signal is
mirrored on up to 4 HDMI displa ys, monitors, projectors or TV’s.
    Over-Current and Over-Voltage Protectio n
The circuit boards are equipped with both over-current and over -voltage
protection and will automatically power down if encountered. The circuit\

boards will restore automatically once the ex cessive current or voltage
    has passed.

    Setup
Note: All Cat5e/6 cables must be terminated to 568B standards.
Unsheilded (or properly terminated sheilded cable), solid core Cat5e,
Cat6, Cat6e, Cat7 or Cat7e cable can be used. Str anded core is not
suggested as it can reduce signal tr ansfer. Recommended to use a
continuous length of cable terminated at the matrix and receiv er ends.
With the splitter power switch in the OFF position, connect the HDMI
High Speed cable from the HDMI Output of the audio/video source to the
HDMI Input located on the rear of the splitte r.
Tips: Use the shortest length HDMI cables possible in each point
in the installation. Use only High Quality and High Speed HDMI
    cables.
Next, connect a Cat5e/6 cable to the HDBase T Out 1 port on the rear of
the splitte r. Connect the other end of the Cat5e/6 cable to the HDBase T
IN port on the rear of the HDBase T receiver positioned near the TV. Run
a short, High Speed HDMI cable from the HDMI Out port on the recei ver
to the HDMI In port on the TV . Plug a provided power adapter into an
AC outlet and the other end into the HDBase T receiver. Using the same
steps, connect the remaining displa ys to the splitter.
Important: The HDBase T Receivers when oper ating are warm and do
require space around the housing for air circulation and coollng. Do not\

enclose the HDBase T receiver. If placed behind a component such as a
TV , ensure that there is adequate space for air circulation and ambient
cooling and that there is no heat being gener ated and transmitted to the
receiver from the other device. Damage caused by improper placement
and overheating of the splitter or the receiver is not covered by the
    product w arrant y.
On initial power on, all LED lights on the splitter should come on solid
blue. If less than the maximum number of Displa ys are connected to
the splitter (not all the outputs are used) there will be no correspon\
    ding
HDMI OUT blue LED for the unused output. Blue lights will only appear
    for devices connected.
The HDBaseT Receiver has 4 LED indicators:
    1. HDCP: A solid LED indicates that the HDCP handshak e between the
source and display has been authenticated.
    2. Link: Indicates a connection between the Matrix and the R eceiver.
    3. Mode: A flashing LED indicates correct oper ation of the system.
    4. P ower: A solid LED indicates power to the recei ver.

The 1x4 Splitter featuring HDBase T Lite includes 4 pairs of Infrared
    Extenders, 4 IR Transmitters (I R-TX) and 4 IR Receivers (I R-RX). The
front panel of the splitter has 1 IR -TX port. The HDBase T Re ceivers each
have one IR -TX port and one IR -RX port. Using the included extenders,
you can configure the IR to control the source devices when present at
    any of the displays.
The port on the splitter labeled “IR ” accepts an optional IR-TX, sending
commands receiv ed from the IR-RX at the display end (HDBase T
receiver) to the IR “ey e” on a source.
Plug an IR -RX into the IR -RX Port of the HDBase T receiver. Place the end
of the IR -RX in an area that is in line-of -sight to the remote control.
Plug an IR -TX into the IR port on the splitte r. Po sition the end of the IR -
TX in line of sight to the IR “ey e” of the source device. The IR “ey e” is
normally a small circle on the face of the source devices that receiv es the
IR signal from its remote control.
To control multiple source devices with one IR -TX, stack the sources
together and position the IR -TX, which is plugged into the IR port on the
splitte r, so that all the source devices can recei ve the IR signal (Blast)
    from the IR -TX.
Note: A remote control is not included. A remote control progr ammed to
control the source device/s is required for IR oper ation.
    Troubleshooting
    Q. One of the display does not show a picture or output audio.
    A. Check the displa ys input setting to ensure it is set to recei ve a signal
from the connected HDMI port .
    Q. One or more of the connected displays will not display a picture while
one or more of the displa ys do display a picture:
A1. Press the RESET button on the front of the splitter to reset it.
Alternatively turn off the power to the splitte r, source and displa ys. Wait
60 seconds. T urn the source on and the displa ys on. Turn the splitter on.
A2. The HDMI cables on the non-functonal displa y/s cannot support
their long length. Use only high-quality High Speed HDMI cables. K eep
the cable length as short as possible. T est by locating the non-working
display close to the splitte r. Use a short HDMI cable to connect the switch
to the TV . A working TV using a short HDMI cable indicates an issue with
    the HDMI cable.
    Q. The splitter is not down sampling the video and some of the TV’ s are
    not displaying a picture.
A1. Go into the TV’ s setup and configure the resolution to match all the
connected TV’ s. The TV’s should share the same resolution.
A2. In the source devices menu options set the source device to output a\

resolution that matches all the connected displa ys.
    Q. My TV ’s resolution are not optimized.
    A. The splitter will query the displa ys and provide the highest common
video resolution amongst them. Example: Using a 1080p source, if 3
of the displays support a maximum resolution of 1080p and 1 displ ay
supports a maximim resolution of 720p , all 4 display will operate at a
resolution of 720p . If the 720p TV in the example is then turned of f, the
other 3 displays can then oper ate in 1080p resolution. Press the RESET
button on the front panel of the splitter to refresh the configur ation. The
three 1080p TV’ s will refresh (flick er) then each will displ ay a 1080p
    resolution picture.
