    Settings
    The Projector has multilingual On Screen Display menus 
    that allow you to make image adjustments and change a 
    variety of settings. The projector will automatically detect 
    the source. 
    How to operate 
    1.  To open the OSD menu, press “Menu” on the Remote Control or 
    Control Panel.
    2. When OSD is displayed, use    keys to select any item in the 
    main menu. After selecting the desired main menu item, press  to 
    enter sub menu for feature setting.
    3. Use    keys to select the desired item and adjust the settings by 
        key.  
    4. Select the next item to be adjusted in the sub menu and adjust as 
    described above.   
    5. Press “Menu” or “Back” on the Remote Control or Control Panel, the 
    screen will return to the main menu.
    6.  To exit OSD, press “Menu” or “Back” on the Remote Control or 
    Control Panel again. The OSD menu will close and the projector will 
    automatically save the new settings.

    Color

    Display Mode
    There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. 
      Bright : For brightness optimization.
      PC : For computer or notebook.
      Video : For playing video in a bright environment.
     Theater : For Home Theatre usage in a dark room.
      sRGB : For true-color optimization.
     User : Memorize user’s settings.
    Brightness
    Adjust the brightness of the image.
     Press the  to darken image.
     Press the  to lighten the image.
    Contrast
    The contrast controls the degree of difference between the lightest 
    and darkest parts of the picture. Adjusting the contrast changes the 
    amount of black and white in the image.
      Press the  to decrease the contrast.
     Press the  to increase the contrast.
    Color Temperature
    Adjust the color temperature. At higher temperature, the screen looks 
    colder; at lower temperature, the screen looks warmer.

    Color

    Mode)
    White Segment
    Use the white Segment control to set the white peaking level of DMD chip. 0 stands for minimal segment, and 10 stands for maximum seg-ment.  If you prefer a stronger image, adjust towards the maximum setting.  For a smooth and more natural image, adjust towards the minimum setting.
    Degamma
    Effects the represent of dark scenery.  With greater gamma value, dark scenery will look brighter.
    Color R
    Adjusts the red color. 
    Color G
    Adjusts the green color. 
    Color B
    Adjusts the blue color.
    Saturation 
    Adjusts a video image from black and white to fully saturated color.
    Press the  to decrease the amount of color in the image.
    Press the  to increase the amount of color in the image.
    Tint 
    Adjusts the color balance of red and green.
    Press the  to increase the amount of green in the image.
    Press the  to increase the amount of red  in the image.
     “Saturation” and “Tint” functions are not supported under computer mode or DVI mode.

    Keystone
    Adjust image distortion caused by tilting projection. (±16 degrees)
    Aspect Ratio
    Use this function to choose your desired aspect ratio.
    Auto : Keep the image with original width-higth ratio and maxi-
    mize the image to fit native horizontal or vertical pixels.
    16:9 : The input source will be scaled to fit the width of the screen 
    and narrowed the height to make the displayed image becomes 
    16:9 ratio.
    4:3 : The input source will be scaled to fit the projection screen and 
    becomes 4:3 ratio.
    480p (*) : Provide the best display for a 480p 16:9 signal. 
    Projection
       Front-Desktop
        The factory default setting.
       Front-Ceiling
        When you select this function, the projector turns the im-
    age upside down for ceiling-mounted projection.
        Rear-Desktop
        When you select this function, the projector reverses the 
    image  so you can project behind a translucent screen.

     “H. Position”, “V. Position”, “Frequency” and “ Tracking” func-tions are not supported under DVI and Video mode.
     “Sharpness” func-tions is not supported under VGA connector source.
       Rear-Ceiling 
        When you select this function, the projector reverses and 
    turns the image upside down at same time. You can project 
    from behind a translucent screen with ceiling mounted 
    projection.
    H. Position (Horizontal Position)
     Press the  to move the image left.
     Press the  to move the image right.
    V. Position (Vertical Position)
     Press the  to move the image down.
     Press the  to move the image up.
    Frequency
    “Frequency” changes the display data frequency to match the fre-
    quency of your computer’s graphic card. If you experience a vertical 
    flickering bar, use this function to make an adjustment.
    Tracking
    “Tracking” synchronizes the signal timing of the display with the 
    graphic card. If you experience an unstable or flickering image, use 
    this function to correct it.
    Sharpness 
    Adjusts the sharpness of the image.
     Press the  to decrease the sharpness.
    Press the  to increase the sharpness.

    Auto Shutdown (Minutes)
    The projector will auto shutdown while there is no signal input 
    after the setting time.
    Source Lock
    When source lock is turned off, the projector will search for other 
    signals if the current input signal is lost. When source lock is 
    turned on, it will “Lock” the current source channel before you 
    press “Source” button on remote control for next channel.
    Menu Location
    Choose the Menu location on the display screen. 
    Startup Screen
    Use this function to select your desired startup screen. If you 
    change the setting from one to another, when you exit the OSD 
    menu, the new setting will take effect.
     Acer : The default startup screen of Acer projector.
     User : The user customized startup screen, which is down 
    loaded from PC to projector via the USB cable and Acer 
    eOpening Management utility  (refer to the description of 
    below section).

    Acer eOpening Management is a PC utility  
    for user to change the default startup screen 
    of Acer projector to their desired image. You 
    can install Acer eOpening Management from 
    the bundled CD. Connect the projector to 
    your PC with the bundled USB cable then 
    execute Acer eOpening Management utility to 
    download your desired image from your PC 
    to projector. Before the download starts, the 
    projector must enter “Download Mode” first. 
    Please follow the instruction below to enter 
    “Download Mode”.
    1.  If the projector was turned on, press power button twice to turn 
    off the projector.
    2.  Unplug the AC power cord from the projector.
    3.   Press and hold “Menu” and “ 
    “ buttons simultaneously then 
    plug the AC power cord to the projector.
    4.   When Temp and Lamp LEDs are turned light, release both but-
    tons, projector enters download mode.
    5.   Please make sure the USB cable has been connected to the pro-
    jector from your PC.
    Lamp Hour Elapse
    Displays the lamp’s elapsed operating time (in hours).
    Lamp Reminding
     Choose this function to show or to hide warning message when 
    the changing lamp message is displayed.  The message will show 
    up 30 hours before end of life.

    Lamp Hour Reset
     Press the  button after choosing “Yes ”to turn the lamp hour counter to 0 hours.
    Security
    Press  to start “Security” setting. You must enter “Administrator 
    Password” first before Security setting.
    Security
    This projector provides an excellent security function for the admin-
    istrator to manage the usage of the projector.
    Select “On” to enable the security function. User have 
    to enter password depending on the “Security Mode” 
    defined while setting “User Password”. Please refer 
    to “User Password” section for details.
    Select “Off” then user can switch on the projector 
    without password request.
     
      Once the security function is enabled, the projector 
    will request user to enter password when switch on 
    the projector. Both “User Password” and “Adminis-
    trator Password” can be accepted for this dialogue.
    Timeout(Min.)

    Once “Security” is set to “On”, administrator can set 
    timeout function.
    Press orto select timeout duration.
    The range is from 10 minutes to 990 minutes.
    When time is up, the projector will request user to 
    enter password again.
    The factory default setting of “Timeout(Min.)” is 
    “Off”.
    User Password
    Pressto set up or change “User Password”.
      
    Use ,  , or  to select the character and press “MENU” to confirm.
    Press  to delete character after the selected charac-ter confirmed.
    Press “MENU” to complete the setting of password. 
    Input password again at “Confirm Password”.
    The password is allowed for 4~8 characters.

    The projector provide two options of “Security Mode”.
    Select “Request password only after plugging power cord”, the project will request user to input password 
    only for the first time plugging on power cord of the 
    projector.
    Select “Always request password while projector 
    turns on”, user have to input password every time 
    when switching on the projector.
    Administrator Password
    “Administrator Password” can be accepted by both 
    “Enter Administrator Password” and “Enter Password” 
    dialogues.
    Press  to change “Administrator Password”.
    The factory default of “Administrator Password” is 
    “1234”.
