    1. Put the battery nto the camera.
    2.  Use the USB cable to connect the camera to the power 
    adapter. 
    3.
    
      Insert the power adapter nto the power socket.
    Chargng the Battery
    Leave  the  battery  charg ng  unt l  the  charger  l ght 
    turns green. To maxmze battery lfe, the first charge 
    should be at least 4 hours.

    Insert the Battery and SD/SDHC Card (Not ncluded)
    2. Insert the enclosed batter es nto the battery slot n the 
    correct drecton.1.  Open the battery compartment.

    4. Close the battery compartment.3. Insert an SD/SDHC card (not ncluded) nto the memory 
    card slot as shown.

    Optonal SD/SDHC cards are not ncluded. The use 
    of 64 MB to 32 GB memory cards from recognzed 
    manufacturers such as SanDsk, Panasonc and 
    Toshba s recommended for relable data storage.
    To remove the SD/SDHC card, open the battery 
    compartment and gently push the card to release 
    
    t. 
    Pull the card out carefully.
    Turnng On and Off
    Press the Power button to turn the camera on. To turn off 
    the camera, press the Power button agan.
    After the camera s turned on, the camera wll default to 
    the the shootng mode last used. Press the Mode button, 
    and use the Left/Rght button to swtch among dfferent 
    shootng modes. When the camera s used for the first 
    tme, the language setup wll dsplay on the screen.

    Use Mode button
    The AgfaPhoto camera provdes a convenent mode button that allows you to swtch between dfferent modes easly. After 
    pressng the mode button to enter mode selecton menu, press Left/Rght button to choose the mode, press "func/OK to 
    select. All the avalable modes are lsted as follows:
    Mode Name Icon Description
    Auto mode
    AUTOSwtch to take stll pctures n automatc mode.
    Manual mode
    Swtch to take stll pctures n manual mode, where many camera settngs can be configured.
    ASCN mode
    Swtch to have the camera automatcally select the best scene type for stll pctures.
    Panorama mode
    Swtch to capture a sequence of shots and sttch them together nto a panoramc photo.
    Scene mode
    Swtch to take stll pctures n 20 dfferent scene types to choose from.
    Stablzaton mode
    Swtch to take stll pctures by reducng mage blur caused by hand shake, low lght ng 
    condtons,, or slow shutter speeds.
    Portrat
    Swtch to take portrat pctures under normal condtons.
    Move mode
    Swtch to record vdeos.

    Set Tme, date/tme
    The Date/Tme and Language setup w ll automat cally 
    appear when the camera s turned on the first tme.
    To set the language, date, and tme, go to the followng 
    setup optons n the General Setup menu.

    To access the  General Setup
     menu, do the follow
     ng:
    1.  Press the Power button to turn the camera on.
    2.  Press the 
     button, then swtch among the settngs 
    menus by usng the  Left/Right
     button and select 
    General Setup.
    Setting the Language
    1.  Select language wth the Down button, press the  or 
    rght button to enter the settng.
    2.  Use the  Up/Down/Left/Right
     buttons to select the 
    des
    
    red language.
    3.  Press the

    Setting the Date and Time
    1. Select date / tme wth the Up/Down button, then press 
    the  or rght button to enter the settng.
    2.  Press the  Left/Right
     button to h
     ghlght each field and 
    use the Up/Down button to adjust the value.
    3.
      Press the

    If the LCD montor s damaged, take partcular care 
    wth the lqud n the montor. If any of the followng 
    stuatons arse, take the recommended mmedate 
    acton ndcated below:
    •  If lqud from the LCD comes n contact wth your skn, 
    wpe the area wth a cloth and then wash thoroughly 
    wth soap and runnng water.
    •  If lqud from the LCD flows nto the eyes nadvertently, 
    please rnse wth water mmedately and seek medcal 
    assstance.
    •  If lqud from the LCD s swallowed, flush your mouth 
    thoroughly wth water. Drnk large quanttes of water 
    and nduce vomtng. Then seek medcal assstance 
    mmedately.
    About the LCD Screen
    When you turn the camera on, varous cons wll appear on 
    the LCD screen to ndcate the current camera settngs and 
    status. To learn more about the dsplayed cons, see “LCD 
    Screen display” on page 25.
    LCD Screen notes:
    Extremely hgh-precson technology has been used to 
    manufacture the LCD screen so that most of the pxels are 
    operatonal for use. However, there may be some mnute 
    ponts (black, whte, red, blue or green) that constantly 
    appear on the LCD screen. These ponts are normal n the 
    manufacturng process and the recordng s not affected 
    n any way.
    Avod exposng the LCD screen to water; remove 
    any mo
     sture on the LCD screen wth a soft and dry 
    cleanng cloth.
