www.aleratec.com3 Using the HDD Co\by C\cruiser Mini Du\blicating Hard Dri\cves 1. Use the included power adapter and cord to plug the HDD Copy Cruiser Mini into a power outlet. 2. Insert the SATA Hard Drive you want to copy into the slot marked “SOURCE”. When inserting, align the SATA port on the Hard Drive with the SATA connector in the drive bay slot. 3. Insert the destination SATA Hard Drive into the slot marked “TARGET”. When inserting, align the SATA port on the Hard Drive with the SATA connector in the drive bay slot. Note: Make s\bre the targ\Let Hard Dr\fve has t\Lhe same or h\fgher c\Lapac\fty than yo\br so\brce Hard Dr\fve. \LThe d\bpl\fcat\fon proc\Less w\fll not start \L\ff the target dr\fve\L has a lower capac\fty. Also make s\bre the \L\bn\ft \fs not connecte\Ld to a PC thro\bgh t\Lhe USB port. 4. Power on the HDD Copy Cruiser Mini. 5. Press and hold the Copy button for 5 seconds and release. The Source indicator light will turn on and the Target indicator light will flash. Push the Copy button again to begin the duplication process. The first status bar indicator light will begin flashing when the clone process starts. Note: Press\fng the Start\L b\btton w\fll also e\Lrase all data on t\Lhe target dr\fve. 6. The duplication process is complete when the status bar reaches 100% and stops blinking. 7. Power off the HDD Copy Cruiser Mini to remove the hard drives.
www.aleratec.com4 Using the HDD Co\by C\cruiser Mini Using as a USB HDD \cDocking Station 1. Use the included power adapter and cord to plug the HDD Copy Cruiser Mini into a power outlet. 2. Connect the USB Type-A connector or to your computer’s USB Port. Note: The USB 3.0 Type-A connector \fs also \Lcompat\fble w\fth USB\L 2.0 ports. 3. Connect the USB Type-B connector to the USB Port located on the back of the HDD Copy Cruiser Mini. 4. Insert 1 or 2 SATA Hard Disk Drives into the drive slots on the top of the HDD Copy Cruiser Mini. When inserting, align the SATA port on the Hard Drive with the SATA connector in the drive bay slot. 5. Power on the HDD Copy Cruiser Mini. Note: Any \bnformatted Har\Ld D\fsk Dr\fve w\fll no\Lt show \bp as a dr\fv\Le \fn the W\fndows® Operat\fng System. Yo\b m\bst format thes\Le dr\fves \bs\fng the o\Lperat\fng system’s tools.
