    1. Precautions and Safety Warnings 
    Please read this manual carefully before using your  CN5008US. Keep this 
    manual handy for future reference. These safety ins tructions are to ensure the 
    long life of your CN5008US and to prevent fire and  shock hazards. Please read 
    them carefully and heed all warnings. 
    1.1 General  ·  
    There are no user serviceable parts inside. Qualifi ed ALTINEX service 
    personnel must perform all service. 
    1.2 Handling  ·  
    To prevent fire or shock, do not expose this unit t o water or moisture. 
    Do not place the CN5008US in direct sunlight, near  heaters, or 
    heat-radiating appliances, or near any liquid. Expo sure to direct sunlight, 
    smoke, or steam can harm internal components. 
    ·  Handle the unit carefully. Dropping or jarring can  cause damage. 
    · Do not pull any cables that are attached to the CN5 008US. 
    · Do not place heavy objects on top of the CN5008US. 
    1.3 Cleaning  · 
    Unplug the CN5008US before cleaning. 
    · Clean only with a dry cloth. Never use strong deter gents or solvents such 
    as alcohol or thinner. Do not use a wet cloth or wa ter to clean the unit. 
    Do not open the unit to clean.

    2. Installation Procedures 
    The CN5008US can be installed inside a Cable-Nook o r into furniture horizontally or vertically as shown. Typically, 
    furniture units are installed in a tabletop, but ca n be installed inside a desk or podium. 
    Note:  Download and read the entire online manual to  become familiar with the CN5008US.  
    Step 1.  Locate the best position for the CN5008US.  
    Step 2.  If installing in furniture, prepare the cut out for the table.  
    Warning:  ALTINEX recommends using an experienced pr ofessional to make the table cutout in order to 
    insure accuracy and to be aesthetically pleasing. 
    Step 3.  Install the CN5008US into the Cable-Nook op ening or tabletop. 
    Tabletop:  Route the power cord down through the ope ning in the tabletop. Fasten the CN5008US to the 
    surface using the appropriate screws. 
    Cable-Nook:  Route the power cord down through the o pening in the Cable-Nook. Fasten the CN5008US to 
    the surface using the 4 screws provided with the un it. The CN5008US requires 6 hole sets of the 
    23 total hole sets available in the Cable-Nook.

    The ALTINEX CN5008US Dual AC Power Module is design ed for use inside ALTINEX's Cable-Nook series of interconnect boxes, but can also be installed 
    directly into furniture. The Cable-Nook is designed  for boardrooms and conference rooms where it provi des a simple and effective means of hiding/storing 
    multimedia cables and connectors. The cables remain  connected to a presentation system enabling the user to access connections to video, audio, and other 
    media sources. The modular Cable-Nook uses a half-m oon lid that remains flush with the table when not in use.  
    The CN5008US module provides safe, ample AC power f or users to power laptops, projectors, or other presentation equipment.  
    To access the CN5008US power module inside the Cabl e-Nook, simply lift the door and plug in to the AC receptacles the same as any other AC power outlet.  The

    7. Operation 
    The CN5008US requires no adjustments for optimum performance.  
    Once installed, the CN5008US will work trouble-free  without user intervention.
