    INSPIRED BY STEVE BAILEY
    AND VICTOR WOOTEN!

    							INTRODUCTION:
Inspired by two of the most accomplished bassists of our day, Ampeg’s new PR-1832HE
and PR-1528HE Bass Enclosures are truly a performing musician’s dream come true.
Outstanding sound and legendary Ampeg performance have been embodied in rugged, styl-
ish cabinets which are incredibly road-worthy and surprisingly manageable.
The PR-1832HE is a four-way full range bass speaker system inspired by Victor Wooten.
This enclosure packs the punch of traditional 2-10 / 4-10 cabinets, but with the added advan-
tage of the built-in 18 subwoofer. This enclosure is designed for high SPL and low distortion.
The frequency response is smooth and accurate all the way down to 35Hz.
The PR-1832HE features a a single 18, 400 watt, 4 diameter flat wound voice coil sub
low frequency transducer, two 10, 150 watt low frequency transducers, two 6 -1/2, 75 watt
closed-back mid-frequency transducers, and a bullet horn tweeter. This cabinet is biampable
between the 18 sub and the 2-10 low frequency components. Tilt-back cabinet design, 3”
dolly-style casters and a heavy-duty rear bar handle make the cabinet easy to move around.
Heavy-duty self-retracting side handles facilitate loading and unloading.
The PR-1528HE is a three-way full range bass speaker system inspired by Steve Bailey.
This enclosure is a small full range powerhouse with an incredibly smooth frequency
response, designed specifically for true, accurate sound reproduction to please the most
demanding bassist either on stage or in the studio.
The PR-1528HE features a a single 15, 300 watt, 4 diameter flat wound voice coil low
frequency transducer, two 8, 100 watt mid frequency transducers and a bullet horn tweeter.
The cabinet is biampable between the 15 low frequency driver and the 2-8 drivers. Four
removable swivel casters and heavy-duty self-retracting side handles make the cabinet easy
    to move.

    							PR-1832HE / PR-1528HE Bass Enclosure
    OPERATION:
The PR-1832HE and PR-1528HE are full range speaker cabinets and can be powered by a sin-
gle full range amplifier, or bi-amped with one amp for the lows and another for the mids and highs.
Either the 1/4” speaker jacks or the Speakon
®jacks may be used for connecting to the cabinet. The
two 1/4” jacks are internally wired in parallel to each other, as are the two Speakon®jacks. This
enables daisy-chaining two or more cabinets together, providing you match your amplifier to the over-
    all impedance load.
    FULL
    RANGE OPERATION:
    • Set the Mode switch to the “Full Range position.
    • 1/4”
JACKS:Connect the output of your amplifier to either of the two 1/4” jacks labeled “Full
Range Inputs (Bi-amp Low Inputs).” Use the remaining 1/4” jack to daisy chain to another cab-
    inet, if desired.
    • SPEAKON
®JACKS:Connect the output of your amplifier to either of the two Speakon®jacks.
Use the remaining Speakon®jack to daisy chain to another cabinet, if desired. For full range,
    wire the Speakon®connectors as follows:
    Pin 1+ : Full Range positive (+)
    Pin 1– : Full Range negative (–)
    BI-AMP OPERA
    TION:
    • Set the Mode switch to the “Biamp position.
    • Set the crossover point for the amplifiers somewhere in the 100Hz to 300Hz range. Once up
and running, adjustments within this range may be made to suit your personal listening palate.
    • 1/4”
JACKS:Connect the output of your low frequencyamplifier to either of the two 1/4” jacks
labeled “Full Range Inputs (Bi-amp Low Inputs).”
    • Connect the output of your mid/high frequencyamplifier to the 1/4” jack labeled “Bi-amp High
Input.” (the 1/4” jacks do not allow daisy chaining in the biamp mode.)
    • SPEAKON
®JACKS:Connect the Biamp output of your amplifier to either of the two Speakon®
jacks. Use the remaining Speakon®jack to daisy chain to another cabinet, if desired. For
biamping, wire the Speakon®connectors as follows:
    Pin 1+ : Biamp Low positive (+) Pin 2+ : Biamp High positive (+)
    Pin 1– : Biamp Low negative (–) Pin 2– : Biamp High negative (–)
Caution: Power handling for certain components can be lower in Biamp mode,
check the label for maximum ratings and use appropriate amplifier settings!
