argus variable power viewfinder The completely new Argus Variable PowerViewfinder, featuring a unique precision opticalsystem, gives you a choice of three magnifica-tions in field of view, corresponding to theareas seen by your 35mm Wide Angle, 50mmStandard and 1o0mm Telephoto lenses. Abuilt-in parallax adjustment compensates fordifferences that would otherwise occur betweenthe fields of view of the lenses and the viewfinder . it tilts the lens system within theviewfinder so that you can see precisely whatthe lens sees at every distance. The ArgusVariable Power Viewfinder may be mounted.on any camera equipped with an Argus Acces-sory Shoe on top. Simply setone dial for the focal length of thelens you are using. (A system of lenses rotateswithin the viewfinder, providing the rightmagnification.) Set another dial for the distanceyou are from your subject. (This is the paral- Iax adjustment.) flash extension trracket To take flash pictures when the VariablePower Viewfinder is used, mount your C44flash unit on the new C44 Flash ExtensionBracket. This metal bracket is held in placeby the C44 case safety screw or by a tripodscrew. To attach bracket, loosen screw onbottom of leather case and slide camera part-way out. Slip bracket into slot in end of case,and place hole in bracket over end of safety screw. Slide camera back down onto screw,and tighten. Mount flash unit on bracket inthe same way that you mount it on the camera,and plug cord into socket in Variable PowerViewfinder. To use the Flash ExtensionBracket on your C44 without using theleather case, the case safety screw may beremoved from the case to hold bracket oncamera, as illustrated. -^. www.orphancameras.com
