    ři pouití ASUS Wireless Router Discovery nemohu naj ít ASUS bezdrátový router. 
      Ř ešení 
    Nakonfigurujte  ASUS  bezdrátový  router  p řes  bezdrátovou  LAN  kartu,  váš  po číta č 
    musí  být  ve  stejné  podsíti  ASUS  bezdrátového  router u.  V rámci  stejné  brány 
    nem ůete  nalézt  ASUS  bezdrátové  routery  s podsítí  odliš nou  od  vašeho  počíta če. 
    Musíte  nastavit  váš  po číta č  na  stejnou  podsí ť  jakou  má  ASUS  bezdrátový  router. 
    Tovární nastavení podsít ě ASUS bezdrátového routeru je „192.168.1.1“.  
       
    Ve  Windows  NT/2000/XP  se  musíte  nalogovat  s právy  a dministrátora, 
    aby  všechny  funkce  ASUS  bezdrátového  routeru  mohly  správně 
    fungovat.  Pokud  se  nenalogujete  jako  člen  administrátorské  skupiny, 
    nem ůete  zm ěnit  IP  nastavení,  ale  m ůete  spustit  Discovery  utility 
    pokud je originální IP nastavení správné.

    9.1  Slovník pojmů 
      
    Access  Point   – přístupový  bod   –  je  zařízení,  které  dovoluje  bezdrátovým  klient ům 
    spojit  se  s jinými  bezdrátovými  klienty  a  chovat  se   jako  most  mezi  bezdrátovými 
    klienty a ethernetovou sítí.    
    Broadband   – širokopásmový   –  typ  přenosu  dat,  ve  kterém  jediný  nosi č  (jako 
    nap říklad kabel) p řenáší najednou n ěkolik kanál ů dat. 
     
    Channel   – kanál   –  bezdrátový  p řístupový  bod  vám  dovoluje  vybrat  r ůzné  rádiové 
    kanály z bezdrátového spektra. Bezdrátové LAN za řízení pracuje ve spektru 2,4 GHz 
    a kanál je uvnit ř konkrétního FCC rozp ětí, podobn ě jako jakýkoliv rádiový kanál.  
     
    Client  – klient  – je stolní nebo p řenosný po číta č, který je zapojen do vaší sít ě.     
     
    Device name  – název za řízení  – také známý jako ID DHCP klienta nebo název sít ě. 
    N ěkdy  je  dodáván  vaším  poskytovatelem  internetových  s lueb  ISP,  kdy  je  DHCP 
    pouíván k zadání adresy.    
    DHCP  (Dynamic  Host  Configuration  Protocol)   –  tento  protokol  povoluje  počíta či 
    (nebo  mnoha  po číta čům  ve  vaší  síti),  aby  m ěl  automaticky  p řid ělenou  IP  adresu 
    z DHCP serveru.     
    DNS  Server  Address  (Domain  Name  System)   –  adresa  DNS  serveru  –  DNS 
    povoluje  internetovým  hostitelským  po číta čům  mít  doménové  jméno  a  jednu  nebo 
    více  IP  adres.  DNS  server  vede  databázi  hostitelský ch  počíta čů  a  jejich  p říslušných 
    doménových  jmen  a  IP  adres,  take  kdy  uivatel  vep íše  doménové  jméno  do 
    internetového  prohlíe če,  je  odeslán  na  správnou  IP  adresu.  Adresa  DNS  ser veru 
    pouívaná  po číta či  ve  vaší  domácí  síti  je  lokace  DNS  serveru,  který  vám  přid ěl  váš 
    poskytovatel internetových slueb.      
    DSL  Modem  (Digital  Subscriber  Line)   –  ADSL  modem  pouívá  vaši  existující 
    telefonní linku k p řenosu dat ve vysokých rychlostech. 
     
    Encryption  – šifrování  – Poskytuje bezdrátový p řenos dat s úrovní bezpe čnosti. 
      
    ESSID (Extended Service Set Identifier)  – Do brány a kadého jejího bezdrátového 
    klienta  musíte  vloit  stejný  ESSID.  ESSID  je  jedine čný  identifikátor  pro  vaši 
    bezdrátovou sí ť.  
     
    Ethernet   –  Ethernetové  sít ě jsou spojeny kabely  a  huby a pohybují  daty  kolem  s ebe. 
    Jedná se o standard pro po číta čové sít ě.  
      
    Frame-bursting   – přetékání  rám ů  –  vztahuje  se  k burst  módu.  Burst  mód  volitelně 
    dovoluje stanici p řenášet skupiny rám ů bez vzdání se kontroly p řenášeného média.

    Firewall
      –  Firewall  ur čuje,  které  informace  se  dostanou  dovnit ř  a  ven  ze  sít ě.  NAT 
    m ůe  vytvo řit  p řirozenou  firewall skrytím  lokálních sí ťových IP  adres  p řed internetem. 
    Firewall  zabra ňuje  komukoliv  vn ě  vaší  sít ě,  aby  vstoupil  na  váš  po číta č  a  eventuáln ě 
    poškodil nebo prohlíel soubory.     
    Gateway   – brána   –  Síťový  bod,  který  řídí  veškerý  provoz  dat  ve  vaší  síti  a  do 
    internetu a propojuje jednu sí ť s druhou. 
     
    Handshaking   –  handshaking  se  týká  signál ů,  které  jsou  p řenášeny  mezi 
    dorozumívajícími se sít ěmi, jen z řizují platné spojení mezi dv ěma stanicemi. 
     
    IEEE   –  The  Institute  of  Electrical  and  Electronics  Engi neers.  IEEE  nastavuje 
    standardy  pro  vytvá ření  sít ě  v četn ě  Ethernet  LAN ů.  IEEE  standardy  zajiš ťují  mezi 
    stejnými typy systém ů schopnost systém ů uívat  části nebo za řízení jiného systému.  
     
    IP  Address  (Internet  Protocol)   –  IP  adresa  je  sloená  ze čty ř  skupin  čísel 
    odd ělených  te čkami,  identifikuje  jedine čného  internetového  po číta čového  hostitele, 
    povoluje,  aby  vzkazy  ur čené  pro  tento  po číta č  byly  doru čeny  do  správného  místa 
    ur čení.  
      
    ISP  (Internet  Service  Provider)   –  poskytovatel  internetových  slueb  –  ISP  je  firma , 
    která  dovoluje  jedinc ům  nebo  spole čnostem  p řipojit  se  na  internet.  Uivatelé  se 
    nalogují  na  internet  za  pouití  ú čtu  s ISP.  ISP  m ůe  poskytovat  IP  adresy  dynamicky 
    nebo m ůe p řid ělit jednotlivým po číta čům statické (fixní) IP adresy.  
      
    ISP  Gateway  Address   – adresa  brány  ISP   –  jedná  se  o  adresu  pro  internetový 
    router. Tato adresa je poadována pouze kdy pouív áte kabel nebo DSL modem.  
      
    LAN  (Local  Area  Network)   – (lokální  sí ť)  –  LAN  je  skupina  po číta čů  a  za řízení, 
    které  jsou  spole čn ě  propojené  v relativn ě  malé  oblasti  (jako  je  nap říklad  domácnost 
    nebo kancelá ř). Vaše domácí sí ť je pokládána za LAN. 
      
    MAC  Address  (Media  Access  Control)   –  MAC  adresa  je  hardwarová  adresa 
    za řízení zapojeného do sít ě. 
      
    NAT  (Network  Address  Translation)   –  NAT  masky  lokální  síťové  skupiny  IP  adres 
    z externí  sít ě,  umo ňuje  po číta čům  v lokální  síti  sdílet  jediný  ISP  ú čet.  Tento  proces 
    dovoluje  všem  po číta čům  ve  vaší  domácí  síti  pouívat  jednu  IP  adresu.  Tot o  umoní 
    p řístup  na  internet  z kteréhokoliv  po číta če  ve  vaší  domácí  síti,  ani  byste  museli 
    koupit od vašeho ISP více IP adres.     
    PC Card  – PC karta  – Toto je ethernetová karta, která se zapojuje do  PCMCIA zdířky 
    na vašem notebooku. Toto umoní po číta či komunikovat s bezdrátovými p řístupovými 
    body.     
    PPP  (Point-to-Point  Protocol)   –  PPP  je  protokol  pro  komunikaci  mezi  po číta či 
    pouívajícími  sériové  rozhraní,  obvykle  se  jedná  o  osobní  počíta č  spojený  se 
    serverem telefonní linkou.

    PPPoE  (Point-toPoint  Protocol  over  Ethernet)
      –  Point-to-Point  Protocol  je  metoda 
    zabezpe čení p řenosu dat. Pro p řipojení se k ISP PPP pouívá Ethernet.  
      
    Subnet  Mask   – maska  podsít ě  –  Jedná  se  o  čty ři  skupiny  čísel  konfigurovaných 
    stejn ě  jako  IP  adresa.  Pouívá  se  k vytvo ření  mnoství  IP  adres  pouívaných  pouze 
    v rámci konkrétní sít ě. 
     
    TCP/IP  (Transmission  Control  Protocol/Internet  Prot ocol)  –  Toto  je  standardní 
    protokol  pro  data  p řenášená  p řes  internet.  Protokoly  se  pouívají  pro  propojování  
    hostitel ů na internetu.  
     
    WAN  (Wide  Area  Network)   – (rozsáhlá  sí ť)  –  systém  LAN ů  spojených  dohromady. 
    Sí ť,  která  propojuje  po číta če  umíst ěné  v odd ělených  oblastech  (tj.  r ůzné  budovy, 
    m ěsta, zem ě). Internet je WAN. 
     
    WECA  (Wireless  Ethernet  Compatibility  Alliance)   –  pracovní  skupina,  která 
    potvrzuje  schopnost  systému  uívat  části  nebo  za řízení  jiného  systému    a 
    kompatibilitu  IEEE  802.11b  bezdrátových  sí ťových  produkt ů  a  propaguje  tyto 
    standardy pro podniky, malá podnikání a domácí pros tř edí.  
     
    WLAN  (Wireless  Local  Area  Network)   –  Toto  je  skupina  počíta čů  a  jiných  za řízení 
    spojených  bezdrátov ě  v malé  oblasti.  Bezdrátová  sí ť  je  nazývána  jako  LAN  nebo 
    WLAN.
