    							Installation
IMPORTANT: Before installation and usage read
all the instructions and make sure that the
voltage (V) and the frequency (Hz) indicated on
the rating plate are ex actly the same as the
voltage and frequency in your home. The rating
plate can be found on the front left edge of the
                inside of the fridge section.

The manufacturer declines all responsi bility in the event of the installer
failing to observe all the accident prevention regulations in force,
which are necessary for normal use and the regular operation of the
    electric system.

    Electrical connection

YOUR FRIDGE FREEZER IS INTENDED FOR FITTED AND
    PERMANENT INSTALLATION.
We recommend that the app liance is connected by a
qualified electrician, who is a member of the N.I.C.E.I.C.
and who will comply with the I.E.E. and local regulations.

o Your refrigerator comes supplied wi th a 13 amp plug fitted. If in
future you need to change the fu se in this plug, then a 13 amp
ASTA approved (BS 1362) fuse must be used.
o The wiring in the mains lead is coloured as follows:
      Brown Live
    Blue Neutral
    Green and yellow Earth
o As the colours of the wires in the appliance’s mains lead may not
correspond with the coloured ma rkings identifying the terminals
in your spur box, please proceed as follows:
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked “L”
    (live), or coloured red.

The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked “N”
    (neutral), or coloured black.

The green and yellow wire must be connected to the terminal
marked “E” (earth), or by th e earth symbol, or coloured green
    and yellow .

    o
When the connection is completed, no stray strands or cut wire
should be present. The cord cl amp must be secured over the
    outer sheath.

    Positioning
o It is advisable that your appliance is only installed in a location
where the ambient temperature of the room, corresponds with
the climate classification that is st ated on the rating plate of your
appliance. Your appliance may not function correctly if the
ambient temperature falls outs ide of the following ranges.

    Climate classification
     Appropriate ambient temperature
SN +10 to +32 degrees centigrade
    N +16 to +32 degrees centigrade
ST +18 to +38 degrees centigrade
    T +18 to +43 degrees centigrade

o Positioning the appliance requires two people in order to avoid
injuries or damage to the appliance.

o The appliance should never be plac ed upside down or carried in a
    horizontal position.

o Your appliance should not be located in direct sunlight or
exposed to continuous heat or extremes of temperature (e.g.
next to a radiator or boiler). If this is not possible, then you
should install an insulation pl ate between the appliance and the
    adjacent heat source.
o You should check whether there is an electrical socket available,
which will be accessible after your appliance is installed.
o Place the appliance flatly and firmly on a solid base. The
appliance is fitted with adjustable feet on the front side, which
can be used to level the appliance.
o Anything positioned above the a ppliance must be at least 10 cm
away to allow sufficient cooling of the condenser. You must allow
a 5 cm gap to the rear and either side of the appliance.
o If you are placing another coolin g appliance next door to this
product, then there must be a gap of at least 2 cm between the
appliances. This will help to prev ent condensation from forming.
o Be sure to leave enough space for the opening of the door, to
avoid damage to the appliance or personal injury.

    							Attaching the handle
o Take out the handle and screw co vers from the accessory bag in
    the salad crisper drawer.
o Close the door and remove the screws or hole cover installed on
it. Both screws are on one side and the hole cover on the other.

o Fasten the handle (3) with the self-tapping screws (2) on the side
of the door (4) where it is to be installed. Tighten them to fix the
    handle firmly into the place.

    Reversing the doors

IMPORTANT: Make sure you have enough room
to lean the appliance back at a 45° angle. Care
should be taken not to damage or break the
condenser coils on the rear of the fridge freezer.

THE APPLIANCE MUST BE DISC ONNECTED FROM THE POWER
SUPPLY BEFORE COMMENCING THE DOOR REVERSAL PROCESS.

CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THIS PROCESS WILL REQUIRE TWO
    PEOPLE TO COMPLETE IT.

WE RECOMMEND THAT THE DOOR S OF THE FRIDGE FREEZER
ARE REVERSED BEFORE YOU START TO USE THE APPLIANCE.

Any parts that you remove from the appliance whilst
reversing the doors, should be retained for use later.

You will require a small sized flat screwdriver and medium
sized cross-headed screwdriv er to complete the door
    reversal process.

The appliance will be supplied with an additional large
plastic hinge cover for the top of the fridge door that must
be used during the door reversal process (at stage 20).

When refitting hinges to the cabinet, you must ensure that
the screws are fully tightened. However it is important that
the screws are not over tightened.

     1) Gently prise off the three plas tic screw covers from the top
cover, using a small flat-headed screwdriver. Then remove the
screws from the front and back of the top cover, before taking it
    off.

    2) Gently prise off the top hinge hole cover and then refit it to the
opposite side of the top cover.

      26

    							 27
    3)
Gently prise off the plastic hinge covers at the top of the fridge
door, using a small flat-headed screwdriver. One of the plastic
hinge covers is small; this one will be reused later in the door
reversal process. A larger plas tic hinge cover will be supplied
with the appliance separately and this should be used instead of
    the existing one.

    4) Remove the upper hinge using a medium sized cross-headed
    screwdriver.

    5) Carefully remove the fridge d oor from the middle hinge. The
door should be gently placed on some form of padded surface,
so that damage is not caused to it.

    6) Remove the middle hinge door plug from the left hand side of
the fridge door. Remove the midd le hinge door stopper using a
medium sized cross-headed screwdri ver and then refit it onto the
opposite side of the fridge d oor. The middle hinge door plug
should also be refitted to the opposite side of the fridge door.

    7) Unscrew and remove the middle hinge using a medium sized
    cross-headed screw driver.

    8) Carefully remove the freezer d oor from the bottom hinge. The
door should be gently placed on some form of padded surface,
so that damage is not caused to it.

    9) Remove the lower hinge door plug from the left hand side of the
freezer door. Remove the lower hinge door stopper using a
medium sized cross-headed screwdri ver and then refit it onto the
opposite side of the freezer d oor. The lower hinge door plug
should also be refitted to the opposite side of the freezer door.

    10) Gently lean the appliance backwards at a 45° angle to allow the
lower hinge to be removed. IMPORTANT: One person should lean
back the appliance and support it whilst the lower hinge is being
removed (they should continue to su pport it in stages 11 and 12 as
    well).
      • Care should be taken whilst leaning the appliance back, to
make sure that damage is not caused to your flooring. You
can rest the fridge freezer on its original packaging to protect
    your flooring.
      11) Unscrew and remove the lowe r hinge using a medium sized
cross-headed screwdriver. Then refit and tighten the screws that
you have just removed into the sa me holes (this step is shown in
the line drawing on the next page).

    12) Unscrew the two screws that are fitted to the lower hinge holes on
the left hand side of the cabinet. Then fit the lower hinge to the left
hand side of the cabinet using the screws that you have just removed.

    13) Carefully return the fridge freezer back to its upright position. If
necessary adjust the two front feet to make sure that the appliance is
    level.

    14) Locate and refit the freezer door onto the lower hinge.
IMPORTANT: You must ensure that th e hinge locates into the
relevant hole in the freezer door.

    15) Remove the three small plugs from the left hand side of the middle
    section of the cabinet.

    16) The middle hinge needs to be rotated through 180 degrees from
its original position, before being re fitted to the opposite side of the
    cabinet.

    17) Locate and refit the fridge door onto the middle hinge.
IMPORTANT: You must ensure that th e hinge locates into the
relevant hole in the fridge door.
      28

    							18) The upper hinge needs to be rotated through 180 degrees from its
original position, before being refitted to the opposite side of the
cabinet. IMPORTANT: You must ensure that the hinge locates into the
relevant hole in the fridge door.

    19) Refit the top cover and then re tighten the screws at the front and
    back of the top cover.

    20) Re-fit the small plastic hinge cover that you removed in stage 3
and fit the larger plastic hinge cove r that was supplied separately with
the appliance, to the top of the fridge door.
IMPORTANT: Check that both the upper and lower
doors open and shut correct ly, without fouling, after
you have completed the door reversal process.

After the door has been reversed, you should check
the door seal of the fridge and freezer door. Neither
seal should be creased or crushed; otherwise there
will be a gap between it an d the inside of the door.

o The seal must adhere properly all the way around the door.
o If either seal is not adhering to the cabinet properly, then you
    should either:-
      1. Use a warm damp cloth and ma nipulate the seal until it does
adhere to the cabinet properly, all the way around the door.

      or
      2. Use a hair dryer on its lowest heat setting and lightly heat the areas of the door seal that are not adhering correctly. The
heat will make the seal more p liable and this will allow you to
manipulate the seal into the correct position.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT HEAT THE DOOR SEAL ON ANYTHING BUT
THE LOWEST HEAT SETTING, OR HEAT THE SEAL FOR A LONG
PERIOD OF TIME. OTHERWISE DA MAGE MAY BE CAUSED TO
THE DOOR SEAL, WHICH WOULD NOT BE RECTIFIED UNDER
THE GUARANTEE FR EE OF CHARGE.
