    Your deep cleaner assembles quickly and   
    easily. The only tool you will need for assembly   
    is a Phillips head screwdriver.
    1.  Slide upper body onto lower body.
    2.  Secure with screws.
    3.  Attach hose wrap to upper handle by   
    slidin\f it up the bottom of the handle until   
    it snaps firmly in place.
    4.  Slide upper handle into upper body,   
    until it will not \fo any further and   
    secure with screw.
    5.  Place solution tank on back of unit.
    6.  Wrap power cord and flex hose.
    7.   Keep flex hose snu\fly in place by usin\f the 
    hose secure latch.
    8.  Attach tool to end of hose.
    Assembly is now complete.
    AssemblyWARNING
    Do not plug in your deep cleaner until you have completely 
    assembled it per the instructions and are familiar with all 
    instructions and operating procedures.

    Special features
    Your BISSELL deep cleaner is a home cleanin\f 
    system that uses a combination of hand hot tap 
    water, BISSELL cleanin\f formula, brush a\fitation 
    and suction to safely clean carpets.
    DirtLifter™ PowerbrushThe DirtLifter PowerBrush is desi\fned to 
    enhance cleanin\f performance. The bristle  
    pattern safely lifts out the deep down dirt while 
    \fently \froomin\f carpet fibers. The floatin\f 
    suspension self-adjusts to all carpet hei\fhts. 
    When the power is ON and the machine is in 
    the upri\fht position, your carpet is protected 
    because the brush is lifted up off the carpet.
    ReadyTools™ DialThe Ready Tools feature allows you to choose 
    between FLOOR CLEANING or cleanin\f with 
    TOOLS simply by turnin\f the dial. The TOOLS 
    settin\f allows for above floor cleanin\f of   
    upholstery, stairs, creases alon\f baseboards, and 
    other hard to reach areas. Simply choose the 
    tool that is appropriate for the job, attach to flex 
    hose, and you are ready to \fo.
    Scotchgard™ ProtectorCarpet protection applied at the mill typically 
    wears down over time from heavy foot traffic 
    and everyday cleanin\f, includin\f deep clean-
    in\f. To help restore this important protection, 
    only BISSELL offers cleanin\f formulas with 
    Scotch\fard protector. This offers extra protec-
    tion a\fainst dirt and tou\fh stains to keep your 
    carpets lookin\f \food lon\fer. 
    \fefore you clean
    1.  Move furniture to another area if cleanin\f   
    an entire room. (Optional)
    2.  Vacuum carpet thorou\fhly.
    3.  Plan your cleanin\f route to leave an exit path. 
    It is best to be\fin cleanin\f in the corner farthest 
    from your exit.
    4. Pretreating (optional) Pretreat stubborn stains 
    and hi\fhly soiled carpet in hallways and other 
    hi\fh-traffic areas.
        a. Generously spray BISSELL Stain Pretreat 
    evenly over soiled area.  Ca\ftion: D\b N\bT 
    \bVER WET CARPET
        b .  Wait 3-5 minutes before deep cleanin\f.

    WARNING
    To reduce the risk of fire, use only BISSELL deep cleaning 
    formula for full size machines in your deep cleaner. Use of 
    cleaning formulas that contain lemon or pine oil may dam-
    age this appliance and void the guarantee. Chemical spot 
    cleaners or solvent-based soil removers should not be used. 
    These products may react with the plastic materials used in 
    your deep cleaner causing cracking or pitting.

    							Fill the tank
    1. Remove the solution tank by liftin\f it strai\fht 
    up, then away from the lower body.
    2.  Unscrew the black cap at the bottom of the 
    solution tank.
    3.  Fill with hand hot (60°C/140°F MA\b)   
    tap water to the WATER line. Fill the rest   
    of the tank with BISSELL 2\b Formula to   
    the FORMULA line. Replace and ti\fhten   
    the black cap. NOTE:  Do not boil or microwave 
    water as it can dama\fe the solution tank.
    4.  Place solution tank on lower body.
    Carpet cleaning
    1. Set ReadyTools dial to “FLOOR CLEANING”.
    2.  Plu\f into proper outlet.
    3.  Turn the power switch to the ON (I) position 
    (located on the back of unit) 
    4.  With foot, press the red recline lever (located 
    on the back of unit).
    5. Cleaning Strokes. While pressin\f the spray 
    tri\f\fer, make one slow forward wet pass and 
    another one back. Caution: Do not overwet.
    6.  Release the spray tri\f\fer and make one   
    slow forward and backward pass over the   
    same area. 
    7.   Repeat steps 5 and 6 until solution bein\f 
    pulled up appears clean.
    8.  Empty the collection tank when dirty water 
    reaches the full line, or when the solution tank is 
    empty.

    ATTENTIONSome Berber carpets have a tendency to fuzz with wear. 
    Repeated strokes in the same area with an ordinary 
    vacuum or deep cleaner may aggravate this condition.

    CAUTION
    Take care not to run over loose objects or edges of 
    area rugs. Stalling the brush may result in premature 
    belt failure.

    							Operations
    Empty the collection tank
    1. Turn power switch OFF (O) and unplu\f power 
    cord from outlet.
    2.  Remove the collection tank from base of unit. 
        a. Release collection tank latches   
    (on each side) by pullin\f up from the   
    bottom of latch and then out. 
       b .   Carefully remove the top of the   
    tank by liftin\f up on the tank handle.  
    3.  Carry collection tank to a toilet or sink.   
    To empty, pour out contents usin\f   
    openin\f at back of tank.
    4.  Rinse collection tank thorou\fhly and   
    replace on unit.
    5.  Refill solution tank and continue cleanin\f.

    performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.

    							Cleaning with attachments 
    Your deep cleaner is equipped with a hose 
    and at least one attachment for cleanin\f stairs, 
    upholstery, and more.
    1. Important! If \fsing to clean \fpholstery, check 
    \fpholstery tags.
       a. Check manufacturer’s ta\f before clean-
    in\f. “W” or “WS” on the ta\f means you can 
    use your deep cleaner. If the ta\f is coded 
    with an “\b” or an “S” (with a dia\fonal stripe 
    throu\fh it), or says “Dry Clean Only”, do not 
    proceed with any deep cleanin\f machine. 
    Do not use on velvet or silk. If manufactur-
    er’s ta\f is missin\f or not coded, check with 
    your furniture dealer.
       b .   Check for colourfastness in an   
    inconspicuous place.
        c. If possible, check upholstery stuffin\f. 
    Coloured stuffin\f may bleed throu\fh f  
    abric when wet.
        d. Plan activities to allow upholstery   
    time to dry.
       e .   Vacuum area thorou\fhly.
    2.  Follow the instructions on pa\fe 7 for   
    fillin\f the tank.
    3.  Set the ReadyTools dial to the “TOOLS”   
    settin\f.
    4.  Attach the cleanin\f tool to the end of   
    the hose.
    5.  Plu\f in and turn the power switch to the   
    ON position.
    6.  Clean by pressin\f the spray tri\f\fer to spray 
    solution onto the area to be cleaned. Slowly 
    move the tool back and forth over the soiled sur-
    face. Release the spray tri\f\fer to suction dirty 
    water. Continue to clean in the area, workin\f in 
    small sections, until dirt is removed.
      Ca\ftion: Do Not \bverwet.
    7.   When finished cleanin\f, remove and rinse 
    tool(s) in clean, runnin\f water.
    8.  It is recommended that you suction clean 
    water from a bowl to rinse out the hose.
    9.  Lift end of hose and stretch out to ensure all 
    water is cleared from hose.
    10.  Wrap flex hose around hose wrap.
    11.  Empty collection tank and rinse out,   
    followin\f instructions on pa\fe 10   
    under “Cleanin\f after use.”
    12.  Return ReadyTools dial to “FLOOR 
    CLEANING” settin\f.

    IMPORTANT
    Check for colourfastness in an inconspicuous place. If 
    possible, check upholstery stuffing. Coloured stuffing 
    may bleed through fabric when it becomes wet.

    							Cleaning after use
    1. Unplu\f the unit.
    2.  Rinse collection tank thorou\fhly.
        a. Remove ReadyTools Dial by   
    rotatin\f it halfway between “TOOLS”   
    & “FLOOR CLEANING.” 
       b .   Pop out knob by usin\f the openin\f   
    on the back of the tank. Rinse and replace 
    knob and collection tank.
    3.  Remove tank vent & foam filter (located   
    on top of the collection tank) and rinse.
    4.  Clean nozzle window by liftin\f latch   
    and removin\f from machine. Rinse   
    under runnin\f water. 
    5.  When finished, replace nozzle and   
    secure with latch.
    NOTE: For best results, it is recommended   
    that the nozzle is cleaned after each use.
    6.  Remove lint and hair from red \fasket in   
    base of unit. (Do not remove \fasket)
    7.   Replace the collection tank to the base   
    of the machine and secure with latches.
