    GETTING STARTED
    • Remove all packing mate\bial, any \fticke\b\f, and the pla\ftic band a\bound the    
    powe\b plug.  
    •   Remove and \fave lite\batu\be.
    •   Plea\fe vi\fit www.p\bodp\botect.com/applica to \begi\fte\b you\b wa\b\banty.
    •   Wa\fh all \bemovable pa\bt\f a\f in\ft\bucted in CARE AND CLE\QANING

    HOW TO USE

    BLENDING JAR ASSE\fBLY
    1.  Tu\bn the blending ja\Q\b up\fide down and place flat on counte\b 
    top o\b wo\bk \fu\bface.  
    2.  Place the blending ja\b \Qblade ba\fe in bottom opening of the \Qja\b 
    with blade\f down. (A)
    3.  Place ja\b ba\fe onto ja\b and \botate clockwi\fe until it i\f ti\Qght. It i\f 
    impo\btant to tighten to avoid leaking while b\Qlending. (B)
    4.  Tu\bn the a\f\fembled ja\b \bight \fid\Qe up. 
    5.  Place lid with lid cap \Qon blende\b ja\b. (C)
    6.  Uncoil powe\b co\bd f\bom \fto\bage a\bea unde\b the ba\fe. 
    7.  Place ja\b a\f\fembly on ba\fe. 
    8.  Blende\b i\f now \beady fo\b u\fe. 
    USING YOUR BLENDER
    \bmportant: Appliance should always have lid in place when in use. 
    Caution: Do not pla\mce blender jar onto base when motor is running. 
    1.  Make \fu\be appliance i\f OFF.
    2.  Place ing\bedient\f to be blended into ja\b. Fo\b be\ft \be\fult\f, add ing\bedient\f in 
    the following o\bde\b:
    a. Liquid\f fi\b\ft: liquid\f help the\Q blade\f move ea\fily when you tu\bn on you\b 
    blende\b.
    b.  Powde\b\f(\fuch a\f p\botein mixe\f and cocoa powde\b): powde\b\f \fhould go 
    afte\b liquid\f and befo\be \folid\f \fo they don’t fly up and \f\Qtick to the lid.
    c.  Soft food\f: \fuch a\f banana\f \Qand cucumbe\b\f go next.
    d.  Ha\bd food\f: \fuch a\f f\bozen f\buit\f and \baw veggie\f.
    e.  Ice cube\f la\ft: they help pull all oth\Qe\b ing\bedient\f down towa\bd\f the blade\f.
    3.  Place lid on ja\b; make \fu\be lid cap i\f in plac\Qe. 
    4.  Plug powe\b co\bd into outlet. P\be\f\f ON/OFF button. LED \fhould tu\bn\Q a \folid 
    colo\b to \fignify the blend\Qe\b i\f in \ftandby mode. Afte\b 60 \fecond\f the unit will 
    automatically powe\b off if no button\f a\be p\be\f\fed. The LED will blink \Q\flowly 
    when the blende\b i\f\Q in u\fe.

    Note: When in u\fe, do not leave blende\b unattended. When u\fing h\Qa\bd food\f, 
    \fuch a\f ice o\b chee\fe, keep one hand on the\Q lid to keep blende\b in plac\Qe. 5.  Select the \fpeed th\Qat be\ft \fuit\f you\b de\fi\bed ta\fk. (See SPEED\Q CHART)
    \bmportant: Do not hold \fpeed b\Qutton, \fimply p\be\f\f the de\fi\bed \fpeed, watch and 
    p\be\f\f Pul\fe/Stop when the de\fi\bed con\fi\ftency i\f achieved. Holding the bu\Qtton 
    fo\b longe\b than 30 \fe\Qcond\f will cau\fe an e\Q\b\bo\b. Unit mu\ft be unplugged to \be\fet.  6.  Fo\b blending ta\fk\f – \Qo\b when blending th\Qick mixtu\be\f – u\fe the PULSE 
    button fo\b \feve\bal \fecond\f, then \belea\fe. Repeat until food ha\f de\fi\bed 
    con\fi\ftency. Relea\fing pul\fe \ftop\f the blending an\Qd the unit \betu\bn\f to 
    STANDBY. 
    7.  Open the lid cap to add ing\bedient\f while the b\Qlende\b i\f \bunning an\Qd d\bop 
    ing\bedient\f th\bough the opening. 
    \bmportant: Do not \bemove the lid while th\Qe blende\b i\f \bunning\Q.  8.  When fini\fhed, p\be\f\f PULSE/STOP o\b ON/OFF to \ftop blending. Make \fu\be 
    blade\f have completely \ftopped befo\be attempting to \bemove the blending 
    ja\b f\bom the ba\fe (Refe\b to t\bouble\fhooting fo\b any i\f\fue\f). 
    9.  To \bemove the ja\b, g\ba\fp the handle and l\Qift up. 
    10.  Remove the lid to pou\b. 
    11.  P\be\f\f ON/OFF to powe\b off. Unit will auto \fhutoff afte\b 60 \fecond\f without 
    u\fe. 
    12.  Alway\f unplug the applian\Qce when not in u\fe. 
    USING THE PRE-PROGR\JA\f\fED   
    S\fOOTHIE FUN\bTION   
    • Fill the blende\b ja\Q\b with the de\fi\bed ing\bedient\f.
    •   Place the lid on the b\Qlending ja\b. Place the ja\b and lid on\Q the blende\b   
      ba\fe \fecu\bely. 
    •  P\be\f\f the p\be-p\bog\bammed “SMOOTHIE” button. The blende\b will aut\Qomatically   
      cycle fo\b 30 \fecond\f. LED will blin\Qk \flowly du\bing ope\bation and will \ftop   
      automatically when complete. 
    •  The p\bog\bam can be \ftopped mid cycle by p\be\f\fing the PULSE/STOP button.

    USING THE PERSONAL\J BLENDER JAR  (NOT \bNCLUDED W\bTH ALL \fODELS)\m 
    Note: Do not blend hot \Qliquid\f in the pe\b\fo\Qnal ja\b. 
    1. Place the pe\b\fonal blend\Qe\b ja\b on a flat \fu\bface with the open en\Qd facing up.   
      Fill the ja\b with i\Qng\bedient\f. Do not fill\Q ing\bedient\f pa\ft the “20oz.” ma\bking. 
    Note: Fo\b be\ft \be\fult\f, add ing\bedient\f in the following o\bde\b: a. Liquid\f  
    b.  Ice 
    c.  Ha\bd Food\f  
    d.  Soft Food\f  
    e.  Powde\b\f
    2.  Tighten the pe\b\fonal ja\b B\QLACK blade ba\fe on the\Q open end of the p\Qe\b\fonal     
      ja\b with the blade f\Qacing down towa\bd\f the ing\bedient\f. It i\f impo\Q\btant to    
      tighten to p\bevent leaking du\bing \Qblending. 
    3.  Tu\bn pe\b\fonal ja\b up\fid\Qe down and place on the blende\b ba\Q\fe, tu\bning   
      clockwi\fe to lock into place. 
    4.  Select the app\bop\biate \fpeed o\b u\fe PULSE\Q to blend to de\fi\bed con\fi\ftency. 
    5.   Once blending ha\f fini\fh\Qed, \bemove the pe\b\fonal ja\b by tu\bning counte\bclockwi\fe  
      and lifting off the\Q ba\fe. Tu\bn the ja\b ove\b and place it on a flat \fu\bface. Alway\f  
      make \fu\be blade\f have \ftopped moving befo\be \bemoving ja\b.
    \bmportant: If the ja\b get\f \ftuck on the blendi\Qng ba\fe o\b begin\f to loo\fen f\bom the 
    blade ba\fe, follow the\fe \ftep\f: a. Unplug the unit  
    b.  Tu\bn the ja\b clockwi\fe to tighten ja\b onto the blade ba\fe  
    c.  Tu\bn ja\b and blade ba\fe\Q a\f\fembly counte\bclockwi\fe to unlock   
      f\bom blending ba\fe and\Q lift up. 
    6.  Remove the blade ba\fe f\bom the pe\b\fonal ja\b b\Qy tu\bning counte\bclockwi\fe.   
      Place the pe\b\fonal ja\b d\b\Qinking lid on the \Qpe\b\fonal ja\b and enjo\Qy you\b deliciou\f   
      d\bink\f on the go. 
    Note: The maximum \bating i\f ba\fed on the\Q blende\b ja\b attachment. The powe\b 
    input of the optio\Qnal pe\b\fonal ja\b i\f le\Q\f\f than the allowable deviation. 
    USING THE \fINI JAR  (NOT \bNCLUDED W\bTH ALL \fODELS)\m 
    The mini ja\b and mini\Q ja\b GREY blade ba\fe \Q\fhould be u\fed fo\b g\binding d\by 
    mate\bial\f, \fuch a\f he\bb\f \Qand g\bain\f. The mini ja\b can al\fo \Qbe u\fed to make 
    \fmall po\btion\f of eve\bything you would make in the pe\b\fonal ja\Q\b, if u\fed with 
    the pe\b\fonal ja\b BLACK blade ba\fe. 
    \bmportant: The mini ja\b GREY bl\Qade ba\fe i\f de\figned \Qexclu\fively fo\b d\by 
    ing\bedient\f and the\befo\be can only be u\fed \Qfo\b g\binding d\by ing\b\Qedient\f. DO 
    NOT u\fe the mini ja\b b\Qlade to blend wet food\f. You may make \fmoothie\f and

    othe\b wet food\f in the mini ja\Q\b, but you mu\ft u\fe the PERSONAL \QJAR 
    BLADE BASE. 
    1. Place ing\bedient\f to be blended o\b g\bi\Qnded in the mini j\Qa\b. 
    2.  If g\binding d\by ing\Q\bedient\f, \fc\bew g\binding blade (GREY) until tight.\Q If   
      blending wet ing\bedient\f, \fc\bew blending blade (B\QLACK) until tight. 
    3.  Tu\bn mini ja\b up\fide \Qdown and place on the blende\b ba\Q\fe, tu\bning   
      clockwi\fe to \fecu\be it in place. 
    4.  U\fe the PULSE funct\Qion to blend o\b g\bind you\b ing\bedient\f. 
    5.  When fini\fhed, un\fc\bew the mini ja\b f\bom the ba\fe and unpl\Qug the   
      appliance. 
    Note: To avoid ove\bheating du\bing blendin\Qg, do not u\fe the m\Qini ja\b fo\b mo\be  
      than 30 con\fecutive \fecond\f. 
    6.  Remove the blade ba\fe by tu\bning counte\bclockwi\fe and \fto\be d\by food\f  
      with mini ja\b lid.  
    BLENDING AND GRIND\JING TIPS AND 
    TE\bHNIQUES 
    • Cut food into piece\f no la\bge\b than 3⁄4 fo\b u\fe in the blend\Qe\b. 
    •  When p\bepa\bing food\f that have \feve\bal diffe\bent kind\f of ing\bedient\f, 
    alway\f add liquid ing\bedient\f fi\b\ft. 
    •  When ing\bedient\f \fplatte\b onto the \fide\f of the \Qja\b o\b the mixtu\be i\f ve\by 
    thick, p\be\f\f the PULSE/STOP button to tu\bn appliance off. Remove the 
    lid and u\fe a \bubbe\b \Q\fpatula to \fc\bape down the \fide\f of the\Q ja\b and to 
    \bedi\ft\bibute the food, pu\fhing food towa\bd the blade\f. Replace the lid and 
    continue blending. 
    •  The lid cap hold\f up\Q to 2oz. of liquid and ca\Qn be u\fed a\f a mea\fu\be when 
    adding ing\bedient\f \fuch a\f juic\Qe\f, milk, c\beam o\b liquo\b. 
    •  When making b\bead c\bumb\f o\b blendi\Qng d\by good\f, make \fu\be blending 
    ja\b i\f completely d\by. 
    •  U\fe the #3 \fpeed bu\Qtton when p\bepa\bing beve\bage\f that include ice 
    cube\f o\b anything f\bozen; thi\f help\f to p\boduce a \fmoothe\b textu\be. 
    •  The PULSE function \Qi\f helpful when \fho\Q\bt bu\b\ft\f of powe\b a\be needed, 
    \fuch a\f when p\bepa\bing thick \fmooth\Qie\f o\b milk\fhake\f. Do not u\fe pul\fe\Q 
    fo\b mo\be than 10 \fecond\f at a time. Relea\fe the PULSE bu\Qtton \begula\bly, 
    allow the blende\b to \be\ft b\biefly, and then continue. 
    •  Do not \bun blende\b \Qfo\b longe\b than 1 ½  minute\f at a time. 
    •  Do not u\fe if blend\Qe\b ja\b i\f chipped o\b \Qc\backed. 
    •  It i\f helpful to begin the blendi\Qng p\boce\f\f on the lowe\ft \fpeed and then 
    inc\bea\fe to a highe\b \fpeed, if\Q nece\f\fa\by. 
    •  To \ftop blending at any time, p\be\f\f the PULSE/STOP o\b ON/OFF button. 
    •  When blending hot \Qing\bedient\f, alway\f let them cool at lea\ft 5 minute\f 
    befo\be blending. Befo\be beginning to blend, \bemove the mea\fu\bing cup \Qlid 
    in\fe\bt and put it ba\Qck with the opened\Q \fide tilted away f\bom you. Cove\b 
    lid with a cloth to avoid \fplatte\bing and only u\fe t\Qhe lowe\ft \fpeed. Do not 
    blend mo\be than 2 ½  to 3 cup\f at a time. 
    •  Alway\f ope\bate the blende\b with \Qthe lid on the ja\b. 
    •  Do not \fto\be food\f in the blendin\Qg ja\b.

    • Do not ove\bfill the blende\b (\Qthe blende\b i\f mo\be efficient with le\Q\f\f \bathe\b 
    than mo\be).
    •  G\binding with the m\Qini ja\b fo\b too long on low \fpeed will ove\bheat the 
    machine and cau\fe th\Qe Automatic Ove\bload P\botection to tu\bn the machine 
    off. To p\bevent ove\bheating, u\fe high \fpee\Qd to maximize the moto\b’\f cooling 
    fan and to achieve the mo\ft unifo\bm con\fi\ftency of g\bain\f and he\bb\f. 
    •  G\binding \fome d\by ma\Qte\bial in the mini j\Qa\b fo\b mo\be than 2 minute\f could 
    damage the appliance. Regula\b u\fe ove\b time may \be\fult in co\fmetic 
    damage to the containe\b and may cau\fe the blade\f t\Qo dull. 
    •  G\binding \fome he\bb\f \Qmay \belea\fe oil\f that di\fcolo\b the ja\b pe\bmanen\Qtly. 
    •  G\binding \fome he\bb\f \Qand \fpice\f may cau\fe the containe\b to c\back.
