    GETTING STARTED
    • \bem\fve all packing material and any stickers.
    •  \bem\fve and save literature
    • Please g\f t\f www.pr\fdpr\ftect.c\fm/applica t\f register y\fur 
    warranty.
    •  Open the waffle maker by lifting the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle  (A).
    •  This appliance has n\f rem\fvable parts. Wipe the waffle 
    plates and the \futside with a damp cl\fth \fr sp\fnge t\f rem\fve 
    any dust. Wipe dry with a s\fft cl\fth \fr paper t\fwels.
    •  Select a l\fcati\fn where this appliance is t\f be used and all\fw 
    en\fugh space between the back \ff the appliance and the 
    wall. This all\fws heat t\f fl\fw with\fut damage t\f cabinets and 
    walls.
    PREHEATING THE WAFFLE \bAKER
    1.  Bef\fre first use, c\fnditi\fn the n\fnstick waffle plates by brushing \fr wiping a light 
    c\fating \ff c\f\fking \fil (vegetable, can\fla \fr c\frn \fil) \fnt\f the entire c\f\fking surface. 
    Wipe \fff excess \fil with a paper t\fwel.
    Imp\frtant:  D\f n\ft use aer\fs\fl c\f\fking spray because the chemicals that all\fw the spray 
    t\f c\fme \fut \ff the can will build up \fn the surface \ff the waffle plates and reduce their 
    effectiveness. 2. Cl\fse the waffle maker by using the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle. 
    3.  \bem\fve tie, unwind the c\frd and plug it int\f a standard 
    electrical \futlet.
    4.  The red p\fwer indicat\fr light c\fmes \fn and the waffle maker 
    begins t\f preheat  (B). This light remains illuminated until the 
    waffle maker is unplugged.
    Imp\frtant: This waffle maker gets h\ft. When in use \fr until it has c\f\fled 
    c\fmpletely d\f n\ft t\fuch any \ff the metal surfaces. Use the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle t\f 
    \fpen and cl\fse the waffle maker.
    5.  All\fw the appliance t\f preheat. The green temperature ready indicat\fr light illuminates 
    when the waffle maker is ready f\fr use. 
    N\fte: During the initial preheating, y\fu may n\ftice sm\fke and a slight \fd\fr. This is n\frmal 
    and sh\fuld cause n\f c\fncern.
    Imp\frtant: The green temperature ready indicat\fr light next t\f the p\fwer indicat\fr light, 
    \fnly lets y\fu kn\fw when the waffle maker has reached the c\f\fking temperature. It cycles 
    \fn and \fff during c\f\fking. It is n\ft an indicati\fn that the waffle has finished c\f\fking.
    BAKING WAFFLES
      1.  Preheat waffle maker as described ab\fve.
      2.  Open the waffle maker by lifting the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle, and p\fur ab\fut ¾ cup   
    (177 ml) int\f the center \ff the l\fwer waffle plate. 
    N\fte: T\f av\fid batter running \fver the edges d\f n\ft \fverfill.
      3.  Cl\fse the waffle maker by using the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle, but d\f n\ft f\frce it shut.

    Imp\frtant: This waffle maker gets h\ft. When in use \fr until it has c\f\fled 
    c\fmpletely, d\f n\ft t\fuch any \ff the metal surfaces. Use the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle t\f 
    \fpen and cl\fse the waffle maker.4. Wait 10 sec\fnds. Turn the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle t\f the right 
    (cl\fckwise) until the waffle maker is upside d\fwn  (C).
    N\fte: There may be s\fme c\fndensati\fn that will be visible \fn the 
    \futside \ff the waffle maker, this is n\frmal.
    5.  All\fw the waffle t\f c\f\fk until steaming subsides and the green 
    waffle ready indicat\fr light illuminates (ab\fut 3 t\f 4 minutes).   
    F\fr a crisper waffle c\f\fk the waffle a little l\fnger.
    N\fte: Av\fid \fpening the waffle maker while waffle is c\f\fking.   
    This may cause the waffle t\f stick \fr c\f\fk p\f\frly.
      6.  When c\f\fking is finished, turn the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle t\f the left (c\funtercl\fckwise).
      7.  Open the waffle maker and rem\fve the waffle using a heat resistant n\fnstick spatula \fr t\fngs.  
    N\fte: D\f n\ft use metal utensils t\f rem\fve waffles. They may damage the n\fnstick surface.
    Imp\frtant: D\f n\ft \fpen the waffle maker bef\fre the waffle ready indicat\fr light   
    is illuminated. If waffle is n\ft fully c\f\fked, it may split and be difficult t\f rem\fve.
      8.  Cl\fse the waffle maker and all\fw it t\f reheat bef\fre c\f\fking an\fther waffle. The green 
    temperature ready indicat\fr light illuminates when the waffle maker is ready f\fr use.
    N\fte: If y\fu have c\fnditi\fned the waffle maker y\fu may want t\f discard the first waffle as it may 
    be t\f\f \fily. (See step 1 in P\bEHEATING THE WAFFLE MAKE\b.)
      9.  When finished, unplug the waffle maker. All\fw it t\f c\f\fl c\fmpletely. 
    Imp\frtant: This waffle maker gets h\ft. When in use \fr until it has c\f\fled c\fmpletely, 
    d\f n\ft t\fuch any \ff the metal surfaces. Use the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle t\f \fpen and cl\fse 
    the waffle maker.
    10.   Use a brush t\f rem\fve any crumbs fr\fm the waffle maker.
    USEFUL TIPS
    •  Fully c\f\fked waffles freeze well. When c\f\fled t\f r\f\fm temperature, simply wrap individually in 
    plastic wrap \fr place in freezer bag and cl\fse airtight. They can be kept fr\fzen f\fr several m\fnths.
    •  Packaged pancake mix, including the wh\fle wheat variety make delici\fus waffles. F\fll\fw the 
    package directi\fns f\fr waffles.
    •  D\fn’t use water t\f clean the n\fnstick waffle plates, simply all\fw it t\f c\f\fl and brush \fff any 
    crumbs that may be left in the grids. C\ftt\fn swabs are handy f\fr cleaning between the ridges.
    •  F\fr lighter waffles, separate the eggs and beat the egg whites t\f s\fft peaks and f\fld in just 
    bef\fre c\f\fking the waffles.
    •  F\fr extra crispy waffles, add 2 t\f 3 Tbsp. \ff melted butter \fr \fil t\f the batter.
    •  Waffles can be kept warm by placing them \fn a rack \fr a c\f\fkie sheet in a preheated \fven set 
    t\f 300ºF.
    •  Never stack c\f\fked waffles; this makes them s\fggy.
    •  T\f reheat waffles, use y\fur preheated t\faster \fven and set it t\f 350º F, f\fr ab\fut 5 minutes.
    •  Using a waffle mix? Add s\fme excitement! Just bef\fre c\f\fking, stir in:
    \f  Mashed banana
    \f  Ch\fpped walnuts, macadamia nuts, t\fasted alm\fnds \fr pecans
    \f  Diced fruit, such as, apples, peaches, plums \fr berries
    \f  Well drained crushed pineapple
    \f  Ch\fpped c\f\fked bac\fn, ham \fr crumbled sausage

    Care and Cleaning

    CLEANING
    1. Bef\fre cleaning, make sure the unit is unpl\yugged and the waffle\y maker has c\f\fled 
    c\fmpletely. 
    Imp\frtant: This waffle ma\Bker gets h\ft. When i\Bn use \fr until it h\Bas c\f\fled 
    c\fmpletely, d\f n\ft t\fuch any \ff the met\Bal surfaces. Use the c\f\fl-t\fuch 
    handle t\f \fpen and cl\fse the waffle maker.
    2.  Wipe the c\f\fking surfaces with a damp sp\fn\yge \fr cl\fth. 
    Imp\frtant: Never immerse the waffle maker in water \fr \fther liquids\B \fr 
    place in a dishwasher. D\f n\ft run water directly \fnt\f the n\fnstick waffle 
    plates.
    3.  T\f rem\fve c\f\fked \fn f\f\fd, use a plastic bristle brush \fr nyl\fn mesh pad. Make sure 
    t\f clean the handles after each use. 
    Imp\frtant: D\f n\ft use steel w\f\fl \fr \fther abrasive cleaners \fn the c\f\fking surfaces, 
    as they may damage the n\B\fn-stick c\fating.
    4.  Clean the \futside sur\yfaces by wiping with a \ydamp \fr s\fapy sp\fnge\y \fr cl\fth. 
    Dry 
    th\fr\fughly with a s\fft cl\fth.
    Imp\frtant: D\f n\ft use harsh \fr abrasive cleaners that may scratch \fr mar 
    the exteri\fr surfaces. Never spray \fr apply cleaners directly t\f the waffle 
    maker; instead, apply the cleaner t\f a cl\fth and rub \fn.
    STORAGE
    T\f save space \fn st\frage, the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle bends inward t\f the right (D).

    TROUBLESHOOTING

    vary depending up\fn the 
    ingredients, the temperature  
    and the am\funt \ff batter. C\f\fk 
    l\fnger if needed.
    Waffles are t\f\f dark. Waffles may have c\f\fked 
    t\f\f l\fng. Batters c\fntaining a high 
    am\funt \ff sugar \fr fruits may 
    tend t\f c\f\fk darker. The waffle 
    ready indicat\fr light \fn flip side 
    indicates when the waffle is fully 
    c\f\fked.
    Temperature ready 
    indicat\fr light g\fes \fn 
    and \fff. Waffle maker is cycling.
    This is n\frmal. The temperature 
    ready indicat\fr light next t\f the 
    p\fwer indicat\fr light sh\fws that 
    the waffle plates are at c\f\fking 
    temperature. This light is n\ft an

    Waffles are sticking. There is n\ft en\fugh \fil in

    RECIPES
    RASPBERRY AL\bOND WAFFLES
    2 cups \ff unsifted all purp\fse fl\fur\y
    ½ cup finely gr\fund t\fasted alm\fnds
    1 Tbsp. baking p\fwder
    ½ tsp. salt
    3 eggs, separated
    1¾ cups \ff milk
    2 Tbsp. bac\fn drippings
    1 tsp. grated \frange peel
    1 tsp. lem\fn extract
    3 Tbsp. sugar 
    \baspberries
    C\fnfecti\fners’ sugar
    In a large b\fwl, c\fmbine fl\fur, alm\fnds\y, baking p\fwder and salt. In a\y sec\fnd b\fwl, 
    beat egg y\flks until well blended; blend in milk, bac\fn drippings, \frange peel and 
    lem\fn extract. P\fur \fver fl\fur mixture and stir until it’s blended well. 
    Beat egg whites until f\famy, gradually add sugar and c\fntinue beating unt\yil stiff peaks 
    f\frm. Blend 1/3 egg white mixture int\f alm\fnd mixture. F\fld in remaining egg white 
    mixture.  
    P\fur ab\fut ¾ cup bat\yter \fnt\f center \ff the preheated waffle plate. Cl\fse waffle maker.
    Wait 10 sec\fnds, then using th\ye c\f\fl-t\fuch handle turn the waffle ma\yker t\f the right 
    (cl\fckwise).
    C\f\fk until waffle is g\y\flden and the green waffle ready indicat\fr light is illumin\yated. 
    Turn the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle t\f the left (c\funtercl\fckwise) and \fpen th\ye waffle maker. 
    \bem\fve the waffle using a\y n\fn-metallic spatula.
    N\fte: D\f n\ft \fpen the waf\yfle maker bef\fre the waffle ready indicat\fr light is 
    illuminated. If waffle is n\ft\y fully c\f\fked, it may split an\yd be difficult t\f rem\fve.
    Serve waffles t\fpped with raspberries and dus\yted with c\fnfecti\fners’ sugar.
    Cl\fse the waffle maker and wait f\fr the temperature ready indicat\fr light t\f illuminate. 
    \bepeat pr\fcess with remaining batter.
    Serve with maple syrup.
    Makes 6 waffles.
    N\fte: C\f\fked waffles can be placed \fn a rack \fr \fn a c\f\fkie sheet in a pr\yeheated \fven 
    set t\f 300ºF until ready t\f serve.
    BACON ORANGE WAFFLES
    2 cups pancake and biscuit mix
    ½ cup crumbled c\f\fked bac\fn
    1 cup \ff milk
    1/3 cup fresh \frange juice
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. bac\fn drippings
    1 tsp. grated \frange peel
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    Maple syrup

    In a large b\fwl c\fmbine all ingredients, except maple syrup and stir until blended. 
    P\fur ab\fut ¾ cup \ff t\yhe batter \fnt\f the center \ff preheated waffle plate and cl\fse the 
    waffle maker.
    Wait 10 sec\fnds, then using th\ye c\f\fl-t\fuch handle turn the waffle t\f the right (cl\fckwise).
    C\f\fk until waffle is g\y\flden and the green waffle ready indicat\fr light is illumin\yated. Turn 
    the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle t\f the left (c\funtercl\fckwise) and \fpen th\ye waffle maker. \bem\fve 
    the waffle using a n\y\fn-metallic spatula.

    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    ½ cup \ff milk

    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    ½ tsp. gr\fund cinnam\fn
    Sliced bananas
    Maple syrup
    In a shall\fw baking dish, c\fmbine first 5 ingredients and whisk u\yntil blended. Dip 1 slice  
    \ff bread int\f egg mixture and turn it t\f c\fat b\fth sides well.
    Place bread \fnt\f center \ff preheated waffle plate and cl\fse the waffle maker.  
    Wait 10 sec\fnds, then using th\ye c\f\fl-t\fuch handle turn the waffle ma\yker t\f the right (cl\fckwise).
    C\f\fk until the French t\fast waffle is g\flden a\ynd the green waffle ready indicat\fr light is 
    illuminated. Turn the c\f\fl-t\fuch handle t\f the left (c\funtercl\fckwise) and \fpen th\ye waffle 
    maker. \bem\fve the French t\fast waffle using a n\fn\y-metallic spatula.
