3•2•1 advanced remote control. By program-
ming this new remote to work with your other 
components, you can extend the convenience of 
your 3•2•1 home entertainment system, for even 
greater enjoyment.
Before you begin programming or using the 
remote, you need to install the batteries. For 
instructions, refer to “Installing remote control 
batteries” on page 4.

Installing remote control batteries 
1. On the back of the remote, slide open the 
battery compartment (Figure 1).
2. Insert the two supplied AA (IEC-R6) 1.5V 
batteries, or their equivalent, as shown. 
Match the plus (+) and minus (–) marked on 
the batteries with the plus (+) and minus (–) 
inside the battery compartment.
3. Slide the battery compartment cover back 
into place.

Replace the batteries when the remote 
control stops operating or its range seems...

To control the TV 
1. Turn on both the 3•2•1 system and your TV.
2. Press and hold the  
Program

TV On/Off  
 
buttons (shown on the left) for 3 seconds. 
The remote Source buttons will light to
signal that you have entered programming 
mode.
3. Use the number keys to enter your TV’s 
four-digit setup code.

Getting familiar with the added functions 
Buttons on the remote control are grouped 
according to function. Most of the buttons work 
just like the 3•2•1 system remote buttons. 
The advanced functionality is highlighted below. 
POWER and MUTE controls
SOURCE SELECTION controls 
Switches the system on or off.
Switches the TV on or off. 
Does not turn cable box or satellite box 
on or off.
Mutes/unmutes the system volume.
Selects Video 1 as the sound source
