• We recommend using pattern “T-02” when cutting 
paper and pattern “T-03” when cutting fabric.

22 ■Checking the Trial Cutting Results
Adjust the blade extension according to the trial cutting 
results.
Repeatedly perform trial cutting and adjust the blade 
extension until the material is cut cleanly.
With an Appropriate Blade Extension
When the material is peeled off, a faint trace of 
the cut remains on the mat surface.
With a Blade Extension That Needs to be

Settings Screen
From the LCD panel, the settings for specific 
functions can be selected and settings can be 
adjusted. To display the settings screen, press   
in the operation panel.

The following procedures use built-in patterns to 
describe the entire series of operations, from 
selecting a pattern and editing it to cutting.
Tutorial 1 - Cutting Patterns
In this tutorial, we will cut two built-in patterns.

Pattern
aTouch the “Add” key in the pattern layout 
screen.
XThe pattern category selection screen appears.
• Press   to cancel the pattern selection, and 
then select the pattern again.
bSelect the category for the pattern to be cut

cSelect the second pattern to be used.
