Initial Settings
Install the VB Initial Setting Tool to perform initial 
settings for the camera.
(1)After confirming that all other applications have been 
closed, click [Start] menu > [Computer].
(2)Double-click the CD-ROM icon that appears > 
Applications folder > VBInitInstall.exe.
When installation is complete, an icon will appear on the 
desktop.

1Insert the bundled Setup CD-ROM into the PCs CD-
ROM drive and follow the procedure below.

Use the VB Initial Setting Tool to configure the camera 
network.
To launch the VB Initial Setting Tool, double-click the 
[VB Initial Setting Tool v5.0.1] icon on the desktop or 
select [Start] menu > [All Programs] > [WebView 
Livescope] > [VB Initial Setting Tool v5.0.1].
The Tool will automatically detect the camera 
connected to the network and display the cameras 
MAC address, IP address and model name.
The factory setting IP address is set to192.168.100.1.

Initial Settings
Once initial settings are complete, check the image on the 
camera with the VB Viewer. When doing so, set the PC 
network settings to comply with the IP address and 
subnet mask settings on the camera.
The viewer launches and displays the camera image.
If the top page of the camera does not appear or the 
VB Viewer does not launch, see “Troubleshooting” 
(P. 7-6) in “Chapter 7 Appendix.”

Accessing the Top Page of the Camera
Access the top page of the camera via a web browser. 
From the top page of the camera, you can navigate to the 
Setting Menu to configure various camera settings, launch 
Admin Tools, and display the viewer to view images.
The top page of the camera appears.

Certificate Registration
In order to use [Admin Tools] and [Admin Viewer], you 
must first install the two certificates issued by Canon Inc. 
on your PC. The certificates are stored on the Setup CD-
ROM. Follow the procedure below to register the 
certificate using Internet Explorer.
After confirming that all other applications have been 
closed, click [Start] menu > [Computer].
Double-click the CD-ROM icon that appears >
