with a commercial rust preventative.Elevation and Windage adjustmentThe rear sight has 4 settings: 100 meters (open sight), 200,
300 and 400 meters (peep sights). To set the sights, set
the 100 meter sight and shoot a group at 100 meters.
Adjust the front post up or down until the desired point of
impact is gained. The front sight is also adjustable for
windage. To make the rifle shoot to the right adjust the sight
post to the left of center. To shoot to the left adjust the sight
screw to the right of center. (The small screw on the front
of the sight base must be loosened before adjusting the
front sight post. Tighten the screw before firing to ensure
the front sight does not move after it is adjusted)SAFETYSafety FirstFirearms can be dangerous and can cause serious injury or
death. Proper and safe firearms handling is the responsibil-
ity of anyone who touches or uses a firearm. Safety has to
be the primary consideration of anyone using a
firearm. When purchasing a firearm, you assume responsi-
bility for its safe use, storage and transportation. It is partic-
ularly critical that firearms be kept from unauthorized use,
and this includes children. Your responsibility also includes,
but is not limited to, the need to protect yourself and others
from injury resulting from the misuse or abuse of a firearm.
Treat firearms as though they are loaded
Always be aware of where the muzzle is pointed.
Before shooting, make certain the barrel has no
    obstructions.
Do not allow a firearm or ammunition to be left
    5
backwards and verify that the chamber is empty and
release the cocking lever. Remove the butt stock which is
held by two pins. Remove the grip assembly and retract
the bolt assembly and remove it from the receiver. Remove
the handguard. Clean the bore with a brush followed by
patches and a commercial gun cleaner.
To strip the bolt assembly remove the bolt head from the
bolt assembly by turning it 90 degrees to the right and turn
the locking piece until lug can be removed from the bolt
head carrier. Clean parts using a cloth saturated with a
commercial gun cleaner and relubricate lightly.
To reassemble the bolt reverse the above procedure and
push the head with the slanted surface under the tip of the
locking lever. Be sure that locking rollers are in place in the
bolt head when reassembling. To strip the grip assembly
with the trigger mechanism, set the safety point vertically
up, then pull the lever out and remove the grip assembly.
    Reassembly
Reattach the handguard and insert the assembled bolt with
the recoil spring into the receiver. Be sure that both locking
rollers are recessed into the bolt head.
Attach the grip assembly and set the safety lever to “S”.
Slide the butt stock onto the receiver and insert the locking
pins. It is always recommended to have your firearm peri-
odically inspected by a qualified gunsmith.
On the Cetme rifle head space is determined by measuring
the gap between the bolt head and bolt head carrier. This
measurement should be between .005” and .019”. If it is
not, your rifle should be checked by a qualified gunsmith.
Once the rifle has been assembled, wipe the blued surfaces4

unattended. Secure both the firearm and ammunition
from access by unauthorized people including
    children.
When shooting, always be certain that the area
beyond the target, including the backstop, is clear
and safe. Ensure that shots fired present no safety
    hazards for yourself or others.
Always understand the proper operation of your
firearm, and never allow the firearm to be used by
anyone who does not understand how to use the
    firearm properly and safely.
Always use both ear and eye protection when shoot-
    ing.
Always use factory loaded ammunition designed for
and intended to be used in the firearm you are
shooting. It must be the proper caliber and type for
    your firearm.
Never pass a firearm to another person unless the
action is open and the firearm is in an unloaded and
    safe condition.
Never put your finger into the trigger guard until you
    are ready to shoot.
When not using the firearm, ensure that it is
    unloaded.

dental injury to yourself or others in the event you
should stumble, fall or drop the firearm.
