When the projector is not in use, replace the lens cover.

Follow these steps to clean the projection lens.
Cleaning the Projector Cabinet
Disconnect the AC power cord before cleaning.1
Softly wipe the projector body with a soft, dry cleaning cloth.
When it is heavily soiled, use a small amount of mild
detergent and finish with a soft, dry cleaning cloth.  Avoid
using an excessive amount of cleaner....

When the life of the projection lamp of this projector draws to an
end, the LAMP REPLACE indicator lights yellow.  If this indicator
lights yellow, replace the lamp with a new one promptly.
Follow these steps to replace the lamp.

Be sure to reset the lamp replace counter after the lamp is replaced.  W\
hen the lamp replace counter is reset, the LAMP
REPLACE indicator stops lighting.
Move the pointer to Lamp
counter reset and then press the
SELECT button.  The message
“Lamp replace counter Reset?”
is displayed.
Turn the projector on, press the MENU button and the On-
Screen Menu will appear.  Press the Point 
7 8button to
move the red frame pointer to the Setting Menu icon....

Troubleshooting
Before calling your dealer or service center for assistance, check the i\
tems below once again.
– Make sure you have properly connected the projector to peripheral equipm\
ent as described in Connecting to a
Computer, “Connecting to Component Video Equipment”and “Connec\
ting to Video Equipment” on  page17-19. 
– Make sure all equipment is connected to AC outlet and the power is turne\
d on.
– When you operate the projector with a computer and it does not project a\
