     Introduction
Compaq is pleased to announce the Compaq
iPAQ MP4800 Microportable Projector, the premier
member of the affordable iPAQ family of
    microportable projection systems pioneered by
Compaq. Engineered for the ultimate in
professional image quality, the iPAQ MP4800 is the
    brightest microportable projector available.
    Whats Special about This Product?
    Outstanding brightness
The iPAQ MP4800 provides all the high-end
presentation features you’ve come to expect from
Compaq, including 2000 lumens of lighting
intensity—the brightest available in a microportable
projector. Sharp image presentation is a direct
result of the built-in Texas Instruments digital light
    processing (DLP) technology.
    Advanced performance
    Cutting-edge Silicon Image DVDO Deinterlacer
    technology seamlessly converts the
standard-definition interlaced video signal to a
non-interlaced signal to offer crisp, clear imaging
without any of the jitters sometimes encountered in
signal conversion. The projector includes a special
zoom feature so the best image can be displayed
from any position, without moving the unit. The
built-in auto-scaling feature adjusts the picture for
    optimal display results.
The bundled remote control lets users remotely
interact with any connected PC and its
applications. Built-in 3.5-watt stereo speakers offer
    affordable high-quality audio for multimedia
presentations without the hassle of connecting
external speakers. The lamp saver mode extends
the life of the bulb by allowing the user to specify
    high- or low-power displays.
    Compact and lightweight form factor
The iPAQ MP4800 weighs just 5.8 pounds
(2.63 kg), making it slim and light enough to carry
between offices and conference rooms. The new
flat design lets you place it on the table or mount it
on a tripod or the ceiling.
    Unparalleled durability
The projector is carefully built to withstand the
same rigorous testing Compaq gives all of its
    road-ready portable products. The magnesium
casing is 20 percent stronger than plastic and 30 percent lighter than aluminum, providing a
unique combination of light weight and
    ruggedness.

    							   Simplicity and ease
    of use
    The iPAQ MP4800 is
    incredibly easy to set
    up and use.
    Simplified design
    and lighter weight
    mean less bulk to
    assemble and fewer
    parts to wire together.
    The projector is
    compatible with any
    brand of Microsoft™
    Windows™-based
    desktop, laptop, or
    notebook—it even
    works with handheld
    computers equipped
    with appropriate
    video adapters, such
    as the iPAQ Pocket
    PC.

    An AutoSynch feature
    automatically
    interprets and
    adjusts to incoming
    computer graphics
    and video signals to
    ensure that the
    highest quality
    images are
    displayed. The
    exclusive Compaq
    icon-based on-
    screen display menu
    allows users to
    easily tweak
    presentations at the
    touch of a button and
    conduct on-the-spot
    adjustments
    throughout a
    presentation. A laser
    pointer built into the
    remote control lets
    users highlight
    specific points in a
    presentation from
    anywhere in the
    room.
    Compatible with a
    wide range of
    equipment
    Compaq worked with
    Pixelworks™
    engineers to
    customize an
    ImageProcessor chip
    that provides wide-
ranging compatibility with most personal computer and video source
brands on the market, including computers and
televisions, as well as video and DVD players. The
projector can display full-motion video and High
Definition TV (HDTV) display modes from a variety
    of sources.

Both analog (VGA) and digital video inputs make
the iPAQ MP4800 highly compatible with any
analog or digital device. The optional home theater
kit allows users to attach video and
S-video inputs from any VCR, DVD, or camcorder
device, for easy integration of multimedia into
    complex, sophisticated presentations.
