    Thecuttingheadshieldmustalwaysbeinplacewhileoperating

    trimminglinebeyondthelengthoftheshield. 
    Thisunithasaclutch.Thecuttingheadremainsstationarywhen

    releasebuttonsnapsfirmlyintotheprimaryhole(Fig.5). 
    6.Turntheknobclockwisetotightenthecoupler(Fig.4). 
    NOTE:Fordecorativetrimmingwithastringtrimmerattachment, 
    lockthereleasebuttonintothe90°hole(Fig.4). 
    CAUTION:Beforeoperatingtheunit,makesurethe 
    releasebuttonisfullysnappedintotheprimaryholeandthe 
    knobissecurelytightened. 
    CAUTION:Unlessspecifiedotherwise,therelease

    equivalent,toinhibitcorrosionandminimizegumdeposits.Add0.8 
    oz.(23ml)offueladditivepergallonoffuel,accordingtothe 
    instructionsonthecontainer.NEVERaddfueladditivesdirectlyto 
    theunitsfueltank. 
    FUELINGTHEUNiT 
    WARNING:Gasolineisextremelyflammable,ignited 
    vaporsmayexplode.Alwaysstoptheengineandallowit 
    tocoolbeforefillingthefueltank.Donotsmokewhile 
    fillingthetank.Keepsparksandopenflamesatadistance

    1.Positiontheunitwiththefuelcapfacingup. 
    2.Removethefuelcap. 
    3.Placethefuelcontainerspoutintothefillholeonthefueltank 
    andfillthetank. 
    NOTE:Donotoverfillthetank. 
    4.Wipeupanyfuelthatmayhavespilled. 
    5.Reinstallthefuelcap. 
    6.Movetheunitatleast30ft.(9.1m)fromthefuelcontainerand 
    thefuelingsitebeforestartingtheengine.
