    DESIGN
    Tailored for the home
DAVIS is bringing the cinema experience to the living room with the
launch of CinemaOne. The ivory coloured projector has been specially
designed for the home user. It enables high quality DVD, TV and
video images to be viewed at sizes of up to five metres across.
Home users can even choose to have an integrated TV tuner included in
the projector, which allows them to replace
traditional television sets. The projector’s TV control
panel can be accessed through its on-screen display.
    Perfect Image Quality
CinemaOne contains a specially developed colour wheel
to give greater chromatic accuracy. This enhances colour
saturation whilst only marginally reducing the brightness.
Chip technology incorporating Texas Instruments DLP™
(Digital Light Processing™) is also contained within the
projector, giving superior image clarity and sharpness.
    CinemaOne features ASC
    TMtechnology developed by
DAVIS. ASC is a novel technique for TV-signal deinter-
lacing (also known as line-doubling) based on intra field
motion estimation. The ASC algorithms have proved to give
crisp video images (twice the vertical resolution compared
to poorer line-doublers) and remove tearing and avoid artefacts.
The result is brilliant video performance.
A 16:9 switch is included in the projector which enables wide-screen
films to be viewed in their original format, without distortion. An internal
10 watt speaker provides cinema-style sound, and users can create a
‘surround sound’ effect in their living room by connecting the projector
    to a hi-fi.
Weighing only 4.5kg and with a footprint the size of an A4 sheet of
paper, CinemaOne is compact, discreet and portable. The projector
combines compact size with considerable power. It has high-clarity,
SVGA resolution, and is extremely bright at 700 ANSI lumens.
    Ease of use
CinemaOne’s cabling is all colour coded and the icon-based menu sys-
tem makes the projector very easy to set up and use. The functions can
be operated both from the touch panel and the infrared remote control.
As well as compatibility with all TV and video formats, the projector is
suitable for use with PCs, MACs and laptops.
