    DESIGN
The DP X16 is DAVIS’s first projector that belongs in
the truly ultraportable projectors category. Weighing
only 2,25 kg, combined with the brightness that
you would expect from a larger projector, it is a
perfect choice for users on the move with a laptop and projector.
Its unique flexibility makes professional presentations in small and
medium conference rooms a true delight.
    State-of-the-art projection technolgy
Our engineers have wrapped custom micro optics from the
world renowned Carl Zeiss Company and DLP
    TM(Digital Light
    Processing
TM) technology from Texas Instruments, providing
you with superior image quality and brighter, sharper output
    with truer colours.
In true DAVIS tradition, the video image quality is superb.
This also makes it highly suitable for home entertainment
use, with features such as 16:9 aspect ratio in addition to
    the standard 4:3.
    DP X16 features AMSC
    TMtechnology developed by DAVIS.
AMSC is a novel technique for TV-signal deinterlacing (also
known as line-dubling) based on motion estimation. The
AMSC algorithms have proved to give crisp video images
(twice the vertical resolution compared to poorer line-dublers)
and remove tearing and avoid artefacts. The result is brilliant
    video performance.
    New features
DP X16 also contains a number of exciting features, such
as digital zooming of specific parts of the image projected and a
blinds or blank out function where the presenter can choose how
much of the image should be displayed to the audience.
The DAVIS Connectivity Unit (HUB) keeps cables away from the projec-
tor, and it allows full video and PC connectivity. With the HUB there is
only one cable connected to the projector, apart from the power cable,
making it more practical. The DP X16 also has threads which allow you
to mount it on a tripod.
    Ease of Use
The cables connected to the projector are colour coded, and the icon-
based menu system makes the DP X16 a very simple projector to
operate. The functions can be operated from both the touch panel and
the simple, ergonomic infrared remote control.
The DP X16’s unique flexibility makes professional presentations in
small and medium conference rooms a delight.
