    							How to Use
This product is for household use only.
    GETTING STARTED
    • Remove	all	plastic and	paper from	the	box.
    • Remove and	save use	and care manual.
    • Register your	warranty at	www.prodprotect.com/applica.
    1. Clean the coffee urn thoroughly before using for the first time
    (see CARE AND CLEANING).
    2. Remove lid and basket. Check to make sure the spigot is
closed. Use cold, fresh tap water to fill water reservoir. Fill
according to the water level markings on the inside of urn.
Marks on inside of the urn show cup levels desired. Do not
    overfill or under fill.
    3. Wet the coffee basket to help keep small particles of coffee
from sifting through. Add desired amount of regular or
    percolator grind coffee to basket.
    4. Place basket on the percolator tube (make sure the spring is
on the percolator tube). The percolator tube must be resting
in the heating well (if not, coffee urn may not percolate).
    5. Replace the lid and secure in position by turning lid
clockwise until lid lock tabs fit into handle slots. To reduce
coffee spills, make sure that the cover is completely locked
    into the handle slots.
The following chart suggests amount of coffee to use for
medium brew; amounts can be varied to suit personal taste and
    particular coffees
1 cup brewed coffee = 5 fluid ounces
    *Use standard measuring cups
    6. Plug into a grounded, 3 prong plug, 120 V AC wall outlet.
Do NOT plug the cord into outlet without water inside the
urn. Coffee brewing begins within seconds and continues at
    a cup-a-minute speed.
    7. When coffee brewing is complete, percolating will stop and
the ready indicator light will illuminate. The urn
automatically switches to “Keep Warm” setting to preserve
fresh-tasting coffee at hot, ready-to-serve temperature. For
best flavor, remove coffee basket and pump tube with oven
mitt or pot holder when brewing is completed. Replace the
cover making sure it is completely locked into the handle
    slots.
REMOVE PARTS CAREFULLY: URN AND PARTS WILL BE HOT!
    8. Unplug from wall outlet and allow the coffee urn to cool
    before washing.
Caution: Remove Parts Carefully—coffee urn and parts will be
hot! Always unplug the urn when only 2 cups of coffee
    remain.
Note: “KEEP WARM” function continues operating until you
    unplug urn.
    Care and Cleaning
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to
    qualified service personnel.
Make sure your urn is unplugged and cool before cleaning.
    1. Remove lid, coffee basket and percolator tube carefully—
grounds and remaining coffee may still be warm.
    2. Wash the inside of the coffee urn and the removable parts
with warm, soapy water after every use. DO NOT immerse
    the base in water.
    3. When washing the percolator tube make sure the washer on
the bottom remains loose. If coffee grounds are trapped in
this area, hold the percolator tube under running water or
with a wooden toothpick to remove them.
    4. Wipe outside of the coffee urn with a damp cloth and dry
with a towel. Do not use abrasive metal scouring pads or
cleansers on the outside of the coffee urn to avoid scratches.
