    / Camera Modes
    SETTINGS
    The  Settings  menu allows you to adjust these camera settings:
    Video Resolution
    Photo Resolution
    Time Lapse Inter val
    Burst Photo Rate
    See  Camera Settings  to make changes, learn how to navigate menu 
    options and read more details on each setting.
    TIME LAPSE
    Time Lapse  mode captures a series of photos at inter vals of 0.5, 1, 2, 
    5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds.
    To capture a Time Lapse  series, verif y that the camera is in Time 
    Lapse  mode. If the Time Lapse icon [ 
     ] does not appear on your 
    camera status screen, press the Power/Mode  button [
      ] repeatedly 
    until it appears.
    To Capture Time Lapse Photos:  
    Press the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ]. The camera initiates countdown   
    and the red camera status lights flash each time a photo is taken.
    To Stop Time Lapse Photos:  
    Press the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ]. The red camera status lights 
    flash three times and the camera emits three beeps.

    To Enter the Settings Menu: 1.  Verif y that the camera is in the Settings  mode. If the Settings icon 
    [ 
     ] does not appear on your camera status screen, press the Power/Mode  button [
      ] repeatedly until it appears.
    2.  Press the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] to enter the Settings  
    menu [  ].
    3.  Use the 
    Power/Mode  button [
      ] to c ycle through the various 
    Settings  options.
    4.  Press the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] to select the desired option.
    5.  To exit, hold down the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] for two seconds 
    or c ycle through to [  ] and press the Shutter/Select  button  
    [  ] to select it.

    PLAYBACK
    Play back video and photos by connecting your HERO3+ Silver to a T V 
    (requires micro HDMI, composite or combo cable, sold separately). 
    You can also play back video and photos on the LCD Touch BacPac
     
    (optional accessor y, sold separately). The Playback icon [  ] appears 
    only if the camera is connected to a T V or LCD Touch BacPac.

    VIDEO RESOLUTION/FPS/FOV MODES
    You can change Resolution, fps (frames per second) and FOV ( field of 
    view) in the Video  mode menu.
    The HERO3+ Silver offers the following video capture modes:

    / Camera Settings
    Video Resolution Best Use
    10 8 0 p 1080p60 is great for all shots, as high 
    resolution and frame rate yield stunning 
    results. Tr y 1080p30 when shooting with a 
    tripod or for fixed-mounted shots.
    960p Use for body-mounted shots. Provides the 
    largest viewing area and smooth results 
    for high-action capture. Use 960p60 when 
    slow motion is desired—use 960p30 when 
    shooting in low-light conditions.
    720p Best resolution and frame rate for handheld 
    shots. Use 720p120 or 720p60 when slow motion 
     
    is desired. Use 720p30 in low-light conditions.
    WVGA For smaller data files, this is standard 
    definition resolution. Also good when slow 
    motion is desired.

    PHOTO RESOLUTION MODES
    The HERO3+ Silver captures photos at 10MP, 7MP and 5MP resolutions.   
    Any change to photo resolution affects photos captured in Photo , 
    Burst  and Time Lapse  modes.
    Photo Resolution Field of View (FOV)
    10 M P Wide (default)
    7MP Wide
    5MP Medium
    OPTIONS
    Burst  mode captures a series of photos when the Shutter/Select  
    button [ 
     ] is pressed. Photos can be captured at the following rates:
    3 photos in 1 second
    5 photos in 1 second
    10 photos in 1 second (default)

    TIME LAPSE
    You can use Time Lapse  to capture continuous photos of any activity, 
    so you can choose the best ones later. Or you can stitch together Time 
    Lapse  photos during editing to create a movie. Available inter vals 
    range from 0.5 to 60 seconds.

    0.5-2 seconds Sur fing, biking or other spor t
    2 seconds Busy street corner
    5-10 seconds Sunset or moon rise
    10-60 seconds Lengthy activities, such as

    Capture Settings  allows you to adjust the following advanced   
    capture options:
    Camera Orientation
    Spot Meter
    Looping Video

    The  Set Up menu allows you to adjust the following camera settings:
    Default mode at Power Up

    On Screen Display
    Camera Status Lights

    WIRELESS CONTROLS
    The camera’s built-in wireless allows your HERO3+ Silver to connect 
    to the remote (sold separately) or smar tphone/tablet via the GoPro 
    App. When wireless is on, a wireless status icon appears on the camera   
    status screen and the blue wireless lights blink intermittently. When 
    you turn off wireless, the wireless status lights flash seven times.
    To Turn Wireless On/Off:
    Press the  Wireless On/Off  button [ 
     ] to turn wireless on/off. The 
    most recently used wireless mode is active when wireless is turned on.
    Note: Your camera cannot connect to the remote and the GoPro App at the same time.

    DELETE
    Delete the last file or all files and format the memor y card. Deleting all 
    files is useful after you transfer your files to your computer and want to 
    make room on your memor y card for more content. LED lights blink 
    until the operation is complete.
    NOTICE: If you select ALL, the memor y card is reformatted, which 
    deletes ever y file on your card.

    To Delete L AST or ALL: 1.  Verif y that the camera is in the Settings  mode. If the Settings icon 
    [ 
     ] does not appear on your camera status screen, press the Power/Mode  button [
      ] repeatedly until it appears.
    2.  Press the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] to enter the Settings  
    menu [  ].
    3.  Use the 
    Power/Mode  button [
      ] to c ycle through Settings  to 
    locate the Trash  [  ].
    4.  Press the Shutter/Select  button [

    5. Use the Power/Mode  button [
      ] to c ycle through options.
    6.  Select highlighted option by pressing the  Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ].
    7.  To exit, hold down the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] for two seconds 
    or c ycle through to [  ] and press the Shutter/Select  button [  ].
    PRO TIP: Use caution —by selecting ALL , the memor y card will be 
    formatted, deleting ever y file on your SD card.
    From the [  ] screen, press the Shutter/Select  button [  ] to exit 
    the  Settings  menu.
    PRO TIP:  To exit from the Settings  menu at any time press and hold 
    the  Shutter/Select  button [  ] for two seconds.
    CAPTURE SETTINGS
    To Enter the Capture Settings Menu: 1.  Verif y that the camera is in the Settings  mode. If the Settings icon 
    [ 
     ] does not appear on your camera status screen, press the Power/Mode  button [
      ] repeatedly until it appears.
    2.  Press the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] to enter the Settings  
    menu [  ].
    3.  Use the 
    Power/Mode  button [
      ] to c ycle through Settings  to 
    locate the Capture Settings  menu [   ].
    4.  Press the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] to enter Capture Settings .
    5.  Use the 
    Power/Mode  button [
      ] to locate the desired option   
    to change.
    6.  Press the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] to select the desired option.
    7.  Some options have a sub-menu. Use the 
    Power/Mode  button [
      ] 
    to cycle through the sub-menus. 
    8.  Press the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] to select the desired option
    9.  To exit, hold down the Shutter/Select  button [ 
     ] for two seconds 
    or c ycle through to [  ] and press the Shutter/Select  button  
    [  ] to select it.

    You can customize the way your HERO3+ Silver captures video and 
    photos in the Capture Settings menu, with options for Upside Down, 
    Spot Meter and Looping Video.
    UPSIDE DOWN
    If you mount your camera upside down, you might have to rotate the 
    files during editing. This setting eliminates the need to flip your videos 
    or photos after recording.

    SPOT METER
    Turn on Spot Meter when filming from within a dark space pointing 
    the camera into a brighter setting, such as filming the outdoors from 
    within a car. When Spot Meter is turned on, [

    camera status screen.

    LOOPING VIDEO
    Looping video lets you record continuously and save only the best 
    moments, which helps to conser ve space on your microSD card.
    Looping Video Options Include:

    Max video If you do not stop recording to save the video, 
    camera records until memor y card is full, and 
    then over writes with a new video.
    5 min video If you do not stop recording to save the video, 
    camera records for 5 minutes, and then 
    over writes the previous 5 minutes of video.
    20 min video If you do not stop recording to save the video, 
    camera records for 20 minutes, and then 
    over writes the previous 20 minutes of video.

    60 min video If you do not stop recording to save the video, 
    camera records for 60 minutes, and then 
    over writes the previous 60 minutes of video.
    120 min video If you do not stop recording to save the video, 
    camera records for 120 minutes, and then 
    over writes the previous 120 minutes of video.
    PRO TIP: Multiple chapter files are written to your memor y card. This 
    allows for small segments of content to be over written during loop 
    recording. When viewing on a computer screen, you will see separate 
    files for each time segment. Use GoPro software to combine the files 
    into a longer video.
    From the EXIT  screen, press the Shutter/Select  button [  ] to exit 
    the  Capture Settings  menu.
    PRO TIP: To exit from the Capture Settings  menu at any time press 
    and hold the  Shutter/Select  button [  ] for two seconds.

    DEFAULT MODE AT POWER UP
    You can set the camera’s default mode at power up to any of the 
    following modes:
    Video (default)
    Photo
    Burst
    Time Lapse
    ONE BUTTON
    With One Button mode selected, the camera automatically begins 
    recording when powered on. 
    OFF (default)
    ON
    Note: One Button mode is disabled when the camera is connected to the Remote (sold separately) or 
    the GoPro App.
    To Turn On One Button Mode:  
    In Setup, set One Button to ON. For details about how to change a 
    setting, see Set Up  earlier in this section.
    To Capture Video or Time Lapse with One Button Mode:  
    With the camera powered off, press and release the 
    Power/Mode  button 
    [   ]. If the default mode is set to Video, the camera automatically 
    powers on and begins capturing video. If the default mode is set to 
    Photo, Burst or Time Lapse, the camera automatically powers on and 
    begins capturing Time Lapse photos.
    To Stop Recording:  
    Press and hold the 
    Power/Mode  button [
      ] for two seconds to stop 
    recording and power off the camera.
