ReturningDamagedEquipment
Iftheequipmentisdamaged,contactyourHPcustomerservicerepresentativeimmediately.The
servicerepresentativeinitiatesappropriateactionthroughthetransportcarrierorthefactory
andassistsyouinreturningtheequipment.

NOTE:Ifyouarereplacingahot-swappableitem,youcanleavetheserveronandleavethe
externalcables(includingthepowercord)connected.
Toremovethetopcover,followthesesteps:
1.Powerofftheserveranddisconnectthepowerandexternalcablesfromthebackofthe
server.
2.Ensurethetopcoverlockkeyswitchisintheunlockedposition.Rotatethebluereleaselever
towardthebackoftheserverandslidethecovertowardthebackoftheserver.

CAUTION:Theserverdependsontheaccesspanelsbeingclosedforpropercoolingof
internalcomponents.Operatingtheserverwiththecoverremovedcancausetheserverto
quicklyoverheat.
