Beginning a Tournament
The following describes what will happen when a tournament begins on your game.
1. The LED sign displays a new message 3 to 5 days before the tournament start date.  The sign message displays the
Tournament name, start and end dates, prize money and tournament rules.
2. Tournament data is downloaded to each machine before the tournament begins.  Each machine receives the
Tournament parameters and start and end dates of the Tournament.

Prize Claim Procedure
The ITS will send you an official Winners List Poster for each tournament location at the end of a Tournament.
Distributors and Operators are required to distribute the Winners Lists to their locations.
Operators should encourage locations to post the Winners List near the game machine for at least one month or longer
after the end of the Tournament.

Your game contains a simple icon feature that will assist you and your location in monitoring the status of your phone
line connections.  During the attract sequence of the game, which is displayed when no one is playing, a number of small

Frequently Asked Questions About The ITS
How do I make the game call into ITS at any time?
Go into the test software and choose Tournament Menu with the trackball and START button.  Next
select Tournament Operator Adjustables.  The top line is Force Tournament Upload.  Change that to Yes
by rolling the trackball to the right.  Exit the test software by repeatedly pressing the START button.  The
game will then make a call to ITS.  If the call fails, enter the test...

The telephone with the red X through it means that your modem is not receiving a dial tone.  This may be
caused by the phone cord being disconnected, loss of power to the modem, etc.  When this icon is showing, it

If I call the distributor or ITS for service, what information should I have ready in

The Game ID Number is how your games status is tracked.  The ID number of the cabinet must match the ID number in
the software.  You can verify this by going into the test software.  The Game ID Number is displayed at the top of every

How does a player enter the tournament?
A player enters any amount of money into the tournament cabinet.  If a tournament is active, a special selection screen
appears.  This selection screen gives the player a choice to play a regular game of golf at your normal coin settings, or
enter the special tournament course for a specified fee.  If the player chooses to enter the tournament, the game asks for
the correct number of coins to be added.

How do I let my locations know who won?
After the final data is processed, the ITS generates posters of National, Regional, and Local winners.  Winners posters for
each of your locations are mailed to operators about one week after the tournament ends.  Operators are required to post
these posters at each location for at least 90 days.
