Now there’s a full line of speakers d
and systems that bring JBL’s legendary
concert sound to every club and hall
you play. Our new Performance Series
incorporates many of the same preci-
sion features found in our industry-
hailed tour sound systems. No other
speaker systems in its class can touch
    the Performance Series’ power han-
    dling, ruggedness and sound character.
    QUEST
    FOR THE
    PERFECT STAGE SPEAKERS
At the heart of every Performance
Series system you’ll find our thoroughly
    researched G Series loudspeakers. The
    G125-8 (12 inch) and G135A-8 (15 inch)
are the result of nearly two years of
    intensive acoustical and physical
    testing.
The research began in 1984 when
JBL’s Artist Advisory Board (under the
    lea&&in nf ~mnlifier
    I .,,‘,)a “L UnLlpnn”
    rd Paul Rivera;
    launched an exhaustive
    study of the entire
    instrument speaker
    market. They took a
    careful look at every-
    The G 125-8 300~11 competitive product
( 12 inch) loudspeuher and discovered that
    todays pro players
    often needed two speakers onstage:
one for smooth distortion, another for
    clean sound.
    Rivera’s team noted that speakers
    used primarily for distortion offered
far less power handling and efficiency
    than their “clean” sounding counter-
    parts. Ironically, the clean speakers
were too revealing for many rock
guitarists, failing to cover up things like
    high-frequency hiss and fret buzzes.

L To remedy this situation, JBL
launched its G Series in 1986. Both the
    Gl25-8 and G135A-8 offer full-bodied
    sound without top-end
    noise. And both have
    far greater power
    handling and ef-
    ficiency than those
    speakers prized
    solely for distortion
    capabilities. The
    G Series is the first
The Gl35A-8 380 mm line of speakers
    ( 15 incCI)
    loudspeaker. that truly lets per-
    forming musicians
have their cake and eat it, too: both
raw and clean sound.. able to rock
louder, longer and with more detail
    than any other stage speakers
    in
    their class.
    L
The G Series speakers were such an
immediate hit with musicians that JBL
    began incorporating them in portable
    Vocal Reinforcement, Stage Monitor,
    and Keyboard Reinforcement sys-
tems-a full line of products we now
call our Performance Series. Each sys-
    tem delivers the classic, multi-purpose
G Series sound in enclosures designed
    to be exceptionally durable, light-
    weight. and easy to transport.

same JBL high-end technology cleard on major concert tours is now yours in the Performance Series
    PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE AND EASY PORTABILITY
JBL believes that it’s not enough to
be the finest sounding stage speakers
on the market. We’ve also paid close
    attention to the Performance Series’
    appearance and portability.
    Each enclosure is designed to
    enhance your professional image.
    Interlocking corners make stacking
easy and reduce onstage clutter. And
    the specially designed corner protec-
tors have the distinctive JBL logo
tooled right in. (The C-730, G-733, and
C-734 can also be mounted on JBL’s
    Model MT-4612 aluminum tripod
stand.) Musicians who are tired of lugging
    back-breaking speaker systems will
    appreciate the Performance Series’
    lightweight construction. Most club
    speakers are made from heavy-yet-
fragile particle board. Ours are built
    from high-quality void-free plywood
    (multi-laminate cross-grain hardwood)
for the optimum combination of light
    weight and ruggedness.
    To prevent damage during transport,
    all Performance Series products have
    easy-to-grasp, recessed handles and
the speaker front is fully covered by a
    protective steel grille.
