You can operate your TV, video cassette recorder 
(VCR) and set-top box (STB) using the remote 
control of this system.
 
1Slide the remote control 
mode selector to [TV].
2Hold down [TV F].
• Hold down [TV  F] until you finish step 4. 
3Press [ENTER] and release. 
4Press number buttons to enter the 
manufacturer code. 
Examples: 
For a Hitachi TV: Press [0], then [7].

Examples: 
For an Amstrad STB: Press [0], then [3]. 
For a Triax STB: Press [3], then [0]. 
When the manufacturer of your STB has 2 or more 
codes, select the manufacturer codes in turn and 
find the one that operates the STB and the remote 
control properly.

• The following discs cannot be played back:
• DVD-ROM (except for MP3/WMA/JPEG/ASF/
DivX/MPEG1/MPEG2 format), DVD-RAM, CD-
ROM, CD-I (CD-I Ready),  Photo CD, SACD, etc.
• Playing back these discs will generate noise and 
damage the speakers.
• Damaged discs and di scs in an extraordinary 
shape (other than a disc of 12 cm or 8 cm in 
diameter) cannot be played back.
• JVC does not guarantee the operation and  sound quality of discs no t authorized by CD-DA, 
which is a CD specification....

• The system supports DivX 5.x, 4.x and 3.11. 
• The system supports DivX files with a resolution 
of 720 x 480 pixels or less (30 fps) and 720 x 
576 pixels or less (25 fps).
• Audio stream should conform to MPEG1 Audio 
Layer-2 or MPEG Audio Layer-3 (MP3). 
• The system does not support GMC (Global 
Motion Compression). 
• Files encoded in the interlaced scanning mode 
may not be played back correctly.
