Unit\f inches (mm)With ultrahigh native contrast ratio of 15,000:1, full HD resolution and brilliant color
reproduction, the JVC Professional DLARS1X projector produces vivid, cinema quality
images with real blacks. An all in one design and easy, flexible set up, make the DLARS1X
the ideal projector for true home theater image perfection. \bt’s never been easier or more
affordable to enjoy movies with beautiful highdefinition images on the big screen.
    Advantages of \fchip DILA technology
    JVC’s original DILA technology
Three DILA chips for smooth, flickerfree
    highresolution images
JVC’s original 3chip DILA (Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier)
technology produces clear\b natural images without the
annoying flicker or “rainbow effect” that plagues single panel
projectors. Images are as smooth as film\b boasting incredible
    detail.
     Cinemaquality picture
    with no visible grid
There is no visible grid or “screen door
effect” with JVC’s DILA so you can
enjoy the beauty of cinema quality
    resolution.
     Professionalstandard
    gray scale reproduction
    JVC’s DILA exclusive technology
produces highly accurate gradations with low noise. The
quality of grayscale reproduction is further enhanced by high

     Highperformance 2x zoom lens
The projection lens used in this projector is a large aperture\b allglass\b
    13group\b 16element device manufactured by
    legendary lensmaker Fujinon. The superior
    optical performance reduces chromatic
    aberration to enable accurate
    reproduction of properly focused high
resolution images. Thanks to the high
    performance 2x zoom\b clear\b dynamic
large screen images can be enjoyed even in smaller rooms where it’s
difficult to get enough distance from the screen.
     Front ventilation
To maximize the projector’s performance and installation flexibility\b
front ventilation has been incorporated. Easy connections are made
from the rear of the unit. This simple design allows the projector to
be installed just about anywhere\b even in locations where ceiling
installation is not possible. For added convenience\b the lamp can be
accessed and replaced from the side.
     Lens shift function (V: 80%, H: \f4%)
With an expansive lens shift range of 8\f% vertically and 34%
horizontally\b this projector offers a remarkable degree of flexibility
when it comes to installation environment and ease of installation.
     RSVP2
The RSVP2 video processor incorporates HDMI 1.3 compatibility
and is THX Video Certified\b the industry’s hallmark of quality\b
usability and compatibility. The RSVP2 converts standard definition\b
high definition and PC signals from your DVD player\b
Bluray Disc player\b HD DVR\b game console\b or PC to any output
resolution up to 1\f8\fp. The RSVP2 also incorporates ISF Day/Night
    Modes.
The RSVP2 serves as your complete A/V hub\b providing audio/video
switching that simultaneously ensures A/V lipsync and allows a one
wire connection to display for all your video needs.
A feature unique to the RSVP2 is a “Color Gamut” menu. This
enables the operator to easily shift the output color space of the processor to match the SMPTEC broadcast and telecine
mastering standards most commonly used production today.
Color space is remapped inside the processor with a 3x3
“Look Up Table” (LUT) through a series of complex algorithms
utilizing 14 bit processing to ensure accurate color
reproduction without additional contouring in the image.
     Anamorphic Lens
JVC offers high performance addon lenses that may be
installed in front of digital projectors to convert them to a
higher (wider) aspect ratio. The anamorphic lens can be used
for constant height 2.35:1 imaging as either a moveable lens
(electronic vertical image stretch required for 2.35:1 content) or
a fixed lens both electronic vertical stretch and horizontal
    squeeze for non2.35:1 content required.

    							Highperformance video processor
The heart of the video circuit is the high
    performance Gennum GF9351 processor.
Incorporating four VXP™ technologies and high
precision scaling\b this processor further enhances
image quality\b ensuring highquality picture reproduction.
     New WireGrid optical engine
    JVC’s new optical engine uses
    our advanced WireGrid
    inorganic reflective polarized
    light plate made of aluminum
ribs on a glass substrate. These
ribs are formed with widths of
    1\f nanometers and a pitch
(distance from line to line) of
    more than 1\f\f nanometers. The
WireGrid has a lower angle dependency for
    polarized light\b
    effectively minimizing
    any leakage of light
    to the lens when the
    image is black. In
combination with the newly developed DILA device\b this new optical
engine helps achieve native contrast of 15\b\f\f\f:1.
     Gamma optimization via onscreen control
As ambient lighting conditions will differ slightly with each application\b
the screen may require minor adjustments of gamma or gray scale.
And the DLARS1X makes this easy by
    including an onscreen utility that
optimizes the projector for a variety of
    viewing conditions or personal
preferences. Red\b green and blue levels
    can be adjusted independently or
together as a group at several points
    along the gamma curve.
     HDMI ver\b 1\b\f compatibility
Connectivity is extremely important in home theaters as a variety of input
devices covering a wide range of entertainment choices are typically
connected to the projector. The DLARS1X answers this need as it
features two HDMI inputs with version 1.3 specification connectivity. As an
added convenience\b the connector spacing has been increased to
    accommodate professionalgrade HDMI cables.
Newlydeveloped 0\b7inch full HD DILA device
    The application of a new
    liquid crystal material and
new orientation technology has made it possible to
optimize the liquid crystal thickness from 3.2
microns to 2.3 microns. This reduces the light loss
from the LCD layer itself and greatly enhances
    compensation precision. These new technologies
have also made it possible for the device to achieve
ultrahigh contrast of 2\f\b\f\f\f:1 and have improved
response speed from 8 msec to 4 msec.
Native 15,000:1 high contrast ratio without iris adjustment
    By combining our newly developed \f.7inch full HD (H 192\f x V 1\f8\f
pixels) DILA device with a new optical engine\b we have achieved
native contrast of 15\b\f\f\f:1 without iris adjustment. This allows
reproduction of real black and ensures that details and depth in dark
scenes are expressed clearly and vividly.

    Advantages of \fchip DILA technology
    JVC’s original DILA technology
Three DILA chips for smooth, flickerfree
    highresolution images
JVC’s original 3chip DILA (Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier)
technology produces clear\b natural images without the
annoying flicker or “rainbow effect” that plagues single panel
projectors. Images are as smooth as film\b boasting incredible
    detail.
     Cinemaquality picture
    with no visible grid
There is no visible grid or “screen door
effect” with JVC’s DILA so you can
enjoy the beauty of cinema quality
    resolution.
     Professionalstandard
    gray scale reproduction
    JVC’s DILA exclusive technology
produces highly accurate gradations with low noise. The
quality of grayscale reproduction is further enhanced by high
15\b\f\f\f:1 contrast that ensures highprecision\b highquality
pictures without black paint even when the scene on screen is
    dark.
Superior color reproductionJVC’s unique optical engine produces rich\b natural colors with
smooth gradations and low noise. As the DILA’s liquid crystals are aligned vertically\b the
    pixels are “normally black”
    when no voltage is applied.
    As a result\b DILA
    technology reproduces
    blacks that are truly black.
    It also offers a uniform
    response\b irrespective of
    brightness\b displaying a
    wide range of intermediate
    tones.
