To sort your Phonebook list:
Checking Phonebook Capacity
Your Phonebook can store up to 250 separate numbers. To see how many
entries are stored in your Phonebook:
1From thePhonebookscreen, pressqto view thePhonebook Menu
screen.
2PressRto scroll toSort By.
3PressCunder SELECT.
4PressRto scroll to the desired sorting method:NameorSpeed #.

Adding Phonebook Entries
Using the following instructions, you will enter the information in the order the
items appear on the PhonebookEntry Detailsscreen. However, you can enter
this information in any order by pressing
Sto scroll through the items on the
Entry Detailsscreen.
You can leave an item blank or unchanged by pressing
Sto scroll past it on the
Entry Detailsscreen.
NOTE: Number and type are required for a valid Phonebook entry.

use the 10-digit format and for Private IDs, use

5The default Speed Dial number assigned to the phone number is
displayedintheSpeed #field. This is always the next available Speed
Dial location.
NOTE: Private IDs and Talkgroup
numbers do not have
associated Speed Dial numbers.
To accept the default Speed Dial location,
go to step 6.
If you want to assign the phone number to
a different Speed Dial location:
With theSpeed #field highlighted, press
Cunder CHANGE.
Press
Cunder DELETE to delete the current Speed Dial number.

Storing Numbers and Private IDs Quickly
Your phone gives you two ways to store numbers quickly: from the idle screen
and from the Recent Calls list.
To store a number from the idle screen:

information for this Phonebook entry,

Deleting Phonebook Entries
Pause Digit Entry
When storing a number, you can program your phone so it will not only dial a
number but also pause before entering another series of numbers such as a
personal identification number (PIN) or password. This feature is particularly
useful for accessing automated services such as voice mail or banking systems
from youri35sphone.

Plus Dialing
Example: Let’s say you have a company voice mail account that you frequently
check while traveling. And, to access that account you must do the following:
dial your work number
press # while the voice mail greeting is being played
enter your PIN to access your messages
You can program your phone to enter all of the above information for you by
separating each entry with a pause. The stored data would look like this:
