Installng the RAID Drver Under Wndows 
(for Non-bootable RAID Array)
Insert the MSI DVD nto the DVD-ROM drve.
The DVD wll auto-run and the setup screen wll appear.
Under the Drver tab, clck on Marvell 91XX SATA Drver.
The drver wll be automatcally nstalled.1.

Introducton
JMcron JMB363 offers RAID level 0 (Strpng), RAID level 1 (Mrrorng and Duplexng) and JBOD (Concatenate).
RAID 0 breaks the data nto blocks whch are wrtten to separate hard drves. Spreadng 
the hard drve I/O load across  ndependent channels greatly  mproves I/O performance. 
RAID 1 provdes data redundancy by mrrorng data between the hard drves and pro
-
vdes  enhanced  read  performance.  JBOD  provdes  a  method  for  combnng  drves  of 
dfferent szes nto one large dsk.
Important
And ths manboard supports RAID 0/ RAID 1 or JBOD mode only.
The least number of hard drves for RAID 0, RAID 1 or JBOD mode s 2. All the  nformaton/ volumes/ pctures lsted  n your system mght dffer from the llus

JMcron RAID BIOS Utlty
Be sure to set RAID mode for the JMcron 36x ATA Controller n BIOS before configur-
ng the JMcron BIOS utlty. After that, save the configuraton and ext. Durng boot up 
(POST), press CTRL+J to enter the JMcron BIOS RAID utlty.
The  RAID  Utlty  menu  screen  wll  be  dsplayed.  A  bref  descrpton  of  each  secton  s 
presented below.
Man Menu
Cerate RAID Dsk Drve - Create a new legacy RAID set.
Delete RAID Dsk Drve - Delete a legacy RAID set.
Revert HDD to Non-RAID - Revert an exsted-RAID HDD to non-RAID.
Solve Mrror Conflct - Sovle a mrror conflct.
Rebuld Mrror Drve - Rebuld data, when RAID 1 data mrrorng s lost.
Save And Ext Setup - Save all settngs and ext the BIOS utlty.
Ext Wthout Savng - Ext the BIOS utlty wthout any savng.
Hard Dsk Drver Lst
The menu shows the model number and capactes of the drves physcally attached to 
the SATAII & PATA ports.
RAID Dsk Drver Lst
The menu shows the current configuraton of RAID set.

Creatng RAID set
Select “Create RAID Dsk Drve”. Then press . 1.Then  n the Name field, specfy a RAID set name and then press the  to go 
to the next field.2.
Choose a 0-Strped, a 1-Mrror, or a JBOD-Concatenate combnaton set and then press  to go to the next step.3.

In the “Hard Dsk Dsk Lst” menu, use  key to select the dsks you want to 
create for the RAID set, then clck  key to finsh selecton.4.
Then  select  the  block  value  (strpe  value)  for  the  RAID  array  by  usng  the  “upper 
arrow” or “down arrow” keys to scroll through the avalable values, and pressng the 
 key to select and advance to the next field. The avalable values range from 
4KB to 128 KB. The default and typcal value for RAID 0 s 128KB. (Ths field only 
avalable for RAID 0 mode.)5.

Then select the capacty of the RAID set n the Sze field. The default value s the 
maxmum  capacty  of  the  selected  dsks.  Then  press    to  the  Confirm  Cre-
aton field.
The Creaton field wll dsplay a message to ask you to confirm the creaton. Then 
press  key to proceed wth the RAID set creaton.6.

Then the followng screen appears to ndcate that the creaton s finshed.8.
Go to the Save And Ext Setup field and press , a message wll dsplay to 
ask you to confirm the setup. Then press  key to save the settng and ext the 
BIOS utlty.

Deletng RAID set
Select “Delete RAID Dsk Drve”. Then press .1.In  the  RAID  Dsk  Drver  Lst  menu,  use    key  to  select  the  RAID  set  you  
want to delete. Then press  key.
Press “Y” to accept the deleton when a deleton message s appeared. 2.

Revert HDD to non-RAID 
Select “Revert HDD to non-RAID” and press . In the Hard Dsk Drver Lst menu 
use  key to select the dsks you want to revert then clck  key. The fol-
lowng screen appears, press  key to remove any RAID structures from the drves.
Important
You wll lose all data on the RAID drves and any  nternal RAID structures when you 
perform ths operaton.
Possble reasons to “Revert HDD to non-RAID” could  nclude ssues such as  ncom

patble RAID configuratons or a faled volume or faled dsk.
