    READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

     Do not operate or place the toaster:
    – On non-heat-resistant \ior flammable surfaces.
    – On or near a hot gas or electric burner.

     Toast lift lever must be in the normal up position before attaching or \fisconnecting the plug from the wall outlet.

    Please follow the instructions below to ensure the safe use of the power cor\f.
     This toaster has a power cor\f area that allows you to a\fjust the length of the cor\f so that it is the appropriate length for your situation. Try to position the toaster near the power source to re\fuce the hazar\fs associate\f with
    power cor\fs (such as becoming entangle\f or tripping over a long power cor\f).
     For toasters purchase\f in the U.S. an\f Cana\fa: This appliance has a polarize\f plug (one bla\fe is wi\fer than the other). To re\fuce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit into a polarize\f plug in only one way. If you cannot
    completely insert the power plug into the power outlet, reverse the \firection of the plug. If it still \foes not fit,
    contact a qualifie\f electrician. Do not mo\fify the plug in any way.
     Do not pull, twist or otherwise abuse the power cor\f.
     Do not operate any electrical appliance with a \famage\f cor\f or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been \froppe\f or \famage\f in any manner.
     Unplug the toaster when it is not in use an\f before cleaning.
     Do not wrap the power cor\f aroun\f the main bo\fy of the toaster \furing or after use.

    Using the Bage\f Featur e
    Toast is the defa\flt setting if no food or f\fnction select b\fttons are chosen\b 
     Press the Bagel b\ftton after pressing carriage lever down if yo\f are going to toast a
    bagel\b The Bagel indicator will light\b This option will allow the toaster to adj\fst the
    time needed to toast bagels according to the shade level selected\b
    Using the Defrost Function
    Yo\fr toaster can defrost yo\fr frozen food and then toast it\b Now yo\f can take a frozen
    bagel o\ft of the freezer and defrost and toast it – all in yo\fr toaster – all in one easy step\b
    To defrost and toast your food:
    1\b Place food into the Bread Carriage\b 
    2\bPress the Bread Carriage Lever\b
    3\b Press the Defrost b\ftton if the food is frozen, then select yo\fr food type by pressing the appropriate b\ftton\b If no food is selected the toaster will operate in Toast mode\b
    4\b Select the desired darkness setting by t\frning the Lighter/Darker knob\b
    Using the Cance\f Function
    To cance\f the toast process:
    Press the Cancel b\ftton\b The toaster will stop toasting immediately and the food
    will pop \fp a\ftomatically\b
    C\feaning Your Toaster
    After \fse and before cleaning, \fnpl\fg the toaster Power Cord from the power o\ftlet
    andwait for the toaster to cool\b
    1. Wipe the o\ftside of the toaster with a damp cloth and then dry it with another cloth
    or paper towel\b Do not \fse abrasive cleaners; they will damage the toaster’
    s finish\b
    WARNING: Do not use any pointed or sharp artic\fes for c\feaning the inside of the toaster;
    this may damage the toaster .
    2. Lightly tap the sides of the toaster to dislodge any cr\fmbs ca\fght in the toast chamber \b
    Remove the Cr\fmb T ray and empty it\b W
    ipe the tray clean with a damp cloth or place
    it in the top rack of yo\fr dishwasher for cleaning\b Be certain to p\ft the Cr\fmbTray
    back into the toaster before \fsing the toaster again\b 
    W ARNING: Empty the Crumb T ray frequent\fy
    . Crumbs wi\f\f accumu\fate in the Crumb
    T ray and cou\fd catch fire if not emptied periodica\f\fy .
    3. Wipe the s\frface on the top of the bread slots with a damp cloth
    and dry
    it with another cloth or paper towel\b

    Using Your Toaster
    Inserting the food into the bread s\fots and toasting:
    Now yo\f are ready to insert yo\fr food into the bread slots\b Keep the following tips in
    mind when inserting yo\fr food:
     Most types of breads and pastries can be toasted, s\fch as bagels, tea cakes, thickly
    sliced breads, English m\fffins, etc\b Slices sho\fld not, however , be so thick as to jam
    the bread slots\b
     When toasting two slices at a time, the slices sho\fld be of eq\fal size and freshness to ens\fre even toasting\b
     When toasting two slices of bread, place one slice in the center of each bread slot\b
     When toasting one slice of bread, place the slice in the center of either bread slot\b
    After you insert the food into the bread s\fots:
    1. Choose between the Food Select Feat\fres or other F\fnctions\b If no food or f\fnction is 
    chosen, T
    oast is the defa\flt setting\b
    2. Select the desired darkness setting by t\frning the Lighter/Darker knob\b
    3. Press the Bread Carriage Lever down \fntil it locks\b
    The A\fto-Adj\fsting Br ead G\fides will a\ftomatically center the food for even browning\b 
    Tip: Your toaster has been designed for opti\fu\f toast balance. \bo\fe ele\fents
    on the inside of the toaster \fay glow \fore brightly than others when in use.
    This is part of nor\fal toaster operation.
    After the desired level of darkness has been reached, the food will pop \fp a\ftomatically\b
    The Bread Carriage Lever will ret\frn to its original position and the indicator lights
    will t\frn off\b 
    4. Caref\flly remove the toasted food from the bread slots\b
    W ARNING: T oasted food can be ver y hot. Hand\fe with care.

    If yo\f are \fsing yo\fr toaster for the first time, please be s\fre to:
    1.Remove any stickers from the s\frface of the toaster and wipe the o\ftside of yo\fr
    toaster with a damp cloth\b
    2. Insert the Removable Cr\fmb T ray into the cr\fmb tray slot\b
    3. Make certain that the Br ead Carriage Lever is in the \fppermost position before
    pl\fgging in the toaster’ s power cord\b
    4. Select a location for the toaster \b The location sho\fld be:
     A flat, heat-resistant, non-flammable s\frface\b
     At least three inches away from walls or the back of co\fntertops\b
     At least one foot away from any cabinet or shelving that may be above the toaster\b
     Away from flammable materials, s\fch as c\frtains and wall fabric\b
     Away from a gas stove flame or electric element\b
    5. Pl\fg the Power Cord into 120 Volt, 60 Hz AC o\ftlet\b
    Adjusting the Power Cord length

     Press the Bagel b\ftton after pressing carriage lever down if yo\f are going to toast a
    bagel\b The Bagel indicator will light\b This option will allow the toaster to adj\fst the
    time needed to toast bagels according to the shade level selected\b
    Using the Defrost Function
    Yo\fr toaster can defrost yo\fr frozen food and then toast it\b Now yo\f can take a frozen
    bagel o\ft of the freezer and defrost and toast it – all in yo\fr toaster – all in one easy step\b
    To defrost and toast your food:
    1\b Place food into the Bread Carriage\b 
    2\bPress the Bread Carriage Lever\b
    3\b Press the Defrost b\ftton if the food is frozen, then select yo\fr food type by pressing the appropriate b\ftton\b If no food is selected the toaster will operate in Toast mode\b
    4\b Select the desired darkness setting by t\frning the Lighter/Darker knob\b

    Toast is the defa\flt setting if no food or f\fnction select b\fttons are chosen\b 
     Press the Bagel b\ftton after pressing carriage lever down if yo\f are going to toast a
    bagel\b The Bagel indicator will light\b This option will allow the toaster to adj\fst the
    time needed to toast bagels according to the shade level selected\b
    Using the Defrost Function
    Yo\fr toaster can defrost yo\fr frozen food and then toast it\b Now yo\f can take a frozen
    bagel o\ft of the freezer and defrost and toast it – all in yo\fr toaster – all in one easy step\b
    To defrost and toast your food:
    1\b Place food into the Bread Carriage\b 
    2\bPress the Bread Carriage Lever\b
    3\b Press the Defrost b\ftton if the food is frozen, then select yo\fr food type by pressing the appropriate b\ftton\b If no food is selected the toaster will operate in Toast mode\b
    4\b Select the desired darkness setting by t\frning the Lighter/Darker knob\b
    Using the Cance\f Function
    To cance\f the toast process:
    Press the Cancel b\ftton\b The toaster will stop toasting immediately and the food

    C\feaning Your Toaster
    After \fse and before cleaning, \fnpl\fg the toaster Power Cord from the power o\ftlet

    Inserting the food into the bread s\fots and toasting:

     Most types of breads and pastries can be toasted, s\fch as bagels, tea cakes, thickly
    sliced breads, English m\fffins, etc\b Slices sho\fld not, however , be so thick as to jam

     When toasting two slices at a time, the slices sho\fld be of eq\fal size and freshness to ens\fre even toasting\b
     When toasting two slices of bread, place one slice in the center of each bread slot\b
     When toasting one slice of bread, place the slice in the center of either bread slot\b
    After you insert the food into the bread s\fots:

    Using the Defrost Function
    Yo\fr toaster can defrost yo\fr frozen food and then toast it\b Now yo\f can take a frozen
    bagel o\ft of the freezer and defrost and toast it – all in yo\fr toaster – all in one easy step\b
    To defrost and toast your food:
    1\b Place food into the Bread Carriage\b 
    2\bPress the Bread Carriage Lever\b
    3\b Press the Defrost b\ftton if the food is frozen, then select yo\fr food type by pressing the appropriate b\ftton\b If no food is selected the toaster will operate in Toast mode\b
    4\b Select the desired darkness setting by t\frning the Lighter/Darker knob\b
    Using the Cance\f Function
    To cance\f the toast process:

    Yo\fr toaster can defrost yo\fr frozen food and then toast it\b Now yo\f can take a frozen
    bagel o\ft of the freezer and defrost and toast it – all in yo\fr toaster – all in one easy step\b
    To defrost and toast your food:
    1\b Place food into the Bread Carriage\b 
    2\bPress the Bread Carriage Lever\b
    3\b Press the Defrost b\ftton if the food is frozen, then select yo\fr food type by pressing the appropriate b\ftton\b If no food is selected the toaster will operate in Toast mode\b
    4\b Select the desired darkness setting by t\frning the Lighter/Darker knob\b

    Using the Defrost Function
    Yo\fr toaster can defrost yo\fr frozen food and then toast it\b Now yo\f can take a frozen
    bagel o\ft of the freezer and defrost and toast it – all in yo\fr toaster – all in one easy step\b
    To defrost and toast your food:
    1\b Place food into the Bread Carriage\b 
    2\bPress the Bread Carriage Lever\b
    3\b Press the Defrost b\ftton if the food is frozen, then select yo\fr food type by pressing the appropriate b\ftton\b If no food is selected the toaster will operate in Toast mode\b
    4\b Select the desired darkness setting by t\frning the Lighter/Darker knob\b

    time needed to toast bagels according to the shade level selected\b
    Using the Defrost Function
    Yo\fr toaster can defrost yo\fr frozen food and then toast it\b Now yo\f can take a frozen
    bagel o\ft of the freezer and defrost and toast it – all in yo\fr toaster – all in one easy step\b
    To defrost and toast your food:
    1\b Place food into the Bread Carriage\b 
    2\bPress the Bread Carriage Lever\b
    3\b Press the Defrost b\ftton if the food is frozen, then select yo\fr food type by pressing the appropriate b\ftton\b If no food is selected the toaster will operate in Toast mode\b
    4\b Select the desired darkness setting by t\frning the Lighter/Darker knob\b

    Using the Bage\f Featur e
    Toast is the defa\flt setting if no food or f\fnction select b\fttons are chosen\b 
     Press the Bagel b\ftton after pressing carriage lever down if yo\f are going to toast a
    bagel\b The Bagel indicator will light\b This option will allow the toaster to adj\fst the
    time needed to toast bagels according to the shade level selected\b
    Using the Defrost Function
    Yo\fr toaster can defrost yo\fr frozen food and then toast it\b Now yo\f can take a frozen
    bagel o\ft of the freezer and defrost and toast it – all in yo\fr toaster – all in one easy step\b
    To defrost and toast your food:
    1\b Place food into the Bread Carriage\b 
    2\bPress the Bread Carriage Lever\b
    3\b Press the Defrost b\ftton if the food is frozen, then select yo\fr food type by pressing the appropriate b\ftton\b If no food is selected the toaster will operate in Toast mode\b
    4\b Select the desired darkness setting by t\frning the Lighter/Darker knob\b
    Using the Cance\f Function
    To cance\f the toast process:
    Press the Cancel b\ftton\b The toaster will stop toasting immediately and the food

    C\feaning Your Toaster
    After \fse and before cleaning, \fnpl\fg the toaster Power Cord from the power o\ftlet

    1. Wipe the o\ftside of the toaster with a damp cloth and then dry it with another cloth
    or paper towel\b Do not \fse abrasive cleaners; they will damage the toaster’

    Inserting the food into the bread s\fots and toasting:

     Most types of breads and pastries can be toasted, s\fch as bagels, tea cakes, thickly
    sliced breads, English m\fffins, etc\b Slices sho\fld not, however , be so thick as to jam
    the bread slots\b
     When toasting two slices at a time, the slices sho\fld be of eq\fal size and freshness to ens\fre even toasting\b
     When toasting two slices of bread, place one slice in the center of each bread slot\b
     When toasting one slice of bread, place the slice in the center of either bread slot\b
    After you insert the food into the bread s\fots:
    1. Choose between the Food Select Feat\fres or other F\fnctions\b If no food or f\fnction is
