    •	Batteries are not suppli\-ed. Please purchase s\-eparately.
    • Before replacing the a\-lkaline battery, ensure the unit \-is thoroughly dry to
pre\bent water drops entering the main unit.
    • Always use alkaline bat\-teries. Use of non-alkalin\-e batteries may result in a

    Using the toothbrus\eh
    1. Remo\be the cap.
    2. Confi rm that the brush head is fi xed fi rmly.
    3. Place the toothbrush in the mouth.

    •	Each time you press the power switch, the applian\-ce switches according
to the following order: “Power ON/LED lamp ON”\-, “Power ON/LED lamp
    O\f\f”, “Power O\f\f/LED lamp O\f\f”\-.
    • Press the power switch with the bal\-l of the fi nger.
    •
Do not press with \-a fi ngernail. Doing so may tear the rubber of the power switch.5. Brush the teeth by mo\bing the main unit \-by hand. •	Brush by mo\bing the toothbrush in the same way as when you brush by
hand. Just applying the to\-othbrush to teeth canno\-t fully remo\be plaque,
so it is recommend\-ed that you mo\be the toothbrush. (See “Ad\bice for
brushing” and “Points to a\boid pain in childr\-en”.)
    • Do not apply the br\-ush head to teeth \-or gums too strongl\-y.

    Note
    •	Please be careful \-not to get hair pro\-ducts, hand cream, etc.\- on the main
unit because it ma\-y ruin the appearance of the toothb\-rush.
     Advice for brushing
    How to hold the tooth\ebrush
Hold the toothbrush \elightly and do not use too\e much force\bBrushing while pressi\-ng down hard may damage the teeth \-or
gums. Holding the toothb\-rush lightly as shown in the \figure
allows the best use of\- the bristle tips.
    How to move the brush
    Move horizontally, a little at a time\e\b
Milk teeth are cha\-racterized by wide gaps between the teeth.
Aim to use the tip\-s of the bristles to clean th\-e gaps between
    the milk teeth.
The fi ne motion of the b\-rush will help the \-bristles reach
    diffi cult spots.
Check that no spot has\e been missed
Use the LED lamp to\e get a clear view\b
Using the LED lamp \-allows a clear \biew of the inside of\- the
mouth. It is easy to miss\- spots on the mola\-rs, but a clear \biew
is now possible simply by applying the brush. Make sure that
the brush is reaching its\- target as you brush.
Points to avoid pain in children
    Finger technique is the key
If the child does \-not like brushing diffi cult spots, gently push down and pull
up on the child's \-lips with your fi ngers so that you can brush smoothly.
    Upper front teeth
With the fl eshy part of the index fi nger of your other hand,
    gently lift the upp\-er lip.
    •	Pulling the connect\-i\be tissue, called the frenulum, abo\be
the front teeth ma\-y hurt, so be careful.
    Outer side of molars
Ha\be the child say “Eeee”, then inser\-t your fi nger from the
edge of the lips to\- pull the cheek ou\-tward. If the child open\-s
wide, the cheek will n\-ot stretch outwards and it will b\-e diffi cult
to insert the brush deep into the \-mouth.
If the child is trying to close his or her mou\eth, this may indicate pain
    due to excessive force\b
    After use
    Washing the brush hea\ed
Wash the brush head under running water.
    •	Do not wash with water hotter than 8\-0 ˚C (176 ˚\f).
    • Do not pull the br\-istles of the brush.
(Doing so may cause bristles to come out\-.)
    • Shake well to remo\be water after washing.
    Washing the main uni\et
    1. Make sure that the ba\-ttery co\ber is closed.
    2. Wash the main unit \-under running water.
    •	Do not wash with water hotter than 4\-0 ˚C (104 ˚\f).
    • Do not immerse the\- main unit under w\-ater.
    (Otherwise water may get inside.)
    Washing the cap
Wash the Cap under \-running water.
    •	Do not wash with water hotter than 4\-0 ˚C (104 ˚\f).
    Caution
    •	Shake the cap and brush head well to drain off water, and dry them using
a dry towel, etc. After this, put the cap on t\-he main unit. Lea\bing them wet
may dirty or damage the po\-uch or bag.
Changing the brush \ehead (Sold separately)
    •	Replacing the brush head e\bery 3 months is recom\-mended.
If the bristles are bent to\- one side or worn, the toothbrush is not effecti\be for
    brushing.
    • If the brush head is damaged\- by chewing, etc., there i\-s a risk of damage to
the teeth or gums. Please replace th\-e brush head.
