    1: ESR is automatically set to ON or OFF depending on the
    VTR operation.

    For selecting whether to record the closed caption signals
    multiplexed on the SD input signals.
    0: The signals are not recorded on the tape.
    1: If the closed caption signals are multiplexed on the SD input
    signals, they are recorded on the tape.  In this case, they are
    blanked, up-converted and recorded.
    
    If SDTI has been selected as the input signals, the data of the
    closed caption signals multiplexed on the compressed input
    signals will be recorded in its original form regardless of this
    menu’s setting. 
    Setup menu item No.678
    does not work if the AJ-
    UC1500 optional board

    When setting “2 (MANU)” is selected and the STOP button is
    pressed, operation transfers to the sub-screen, and ON or
    OFF can be selected for each line. To return from the sub-
    screen, press the STOP button again.

    • When AUTO is selected, PCM AUDIO is provided within the
    –1.0×  to i1.1×  speed range during playback of tapes other
    than DVCPROHD-LP.
    • This setup menu item takes effect when one of CH1 to CH8
    has been selected by the L and R MONITOR SELECT
    switches on the front panel.
    (If CUE has been selected, the cue signal will be output at all
    the speeds regardless of the setup menu item’s setting.))
    If AUTO has been selected for setup menu item No.745
    (MONI CH SEL), the CUE signal is automatically sent to the
    monitor output in accordance with the operation mode but this
    item selects the monitor channel which will be automatically
    switched to CUE.
    0: The CUE signal is output to both the left and right channels.
    1: The CUE signal is output to the left channel only.
    2: The CUE signal is output to the right channel only.
    This selects whether to enable or disable the MONITOR
    SELECT button on the front panel.
    0: The button’s operation is enabled.
    1: The button’s operation is disabled.
    2: In the FULL display mode, the button’s operation is
    disabled; operation is enabled in the FINE display mode
    only.
    This selects whether the playback level controls are to work in
    the EE mode when INT SG has been selected as the setup
    menu item No.700 (AUDIO IN SEL) setting.
    0: The INT SG output level is fixed at UNITY.
    1: The INT SG output level can be varied using the playback
    level controls.
    
    • When 0 (DIS) is selected in setup menu No.760 (AUDIO
    VRCONT), the output level of INT SG is fixed at UNITY
    irrespective of the present setting.
    • When 2 (MUTE) is selected in setup menu No.760 (AUDIO
    VRCONT), the output level of INT SG is muted irrespective

    This selects whether the adjusting volume for CH5~CH8 input/
    output level (ANALOG, AES/EBU, SDI) functions.
    0:  Input/output level is fixed at UNITY.
    1:  Input/output level can be changed by the adjusting volume.
