About the LCD Monitor
ALCD monitor
Press [DISPLAY] to change. When the menu screen appears, the 
[DISPLAY] button is not activated. During 
playback zoom (P70), while playing back 
motion pictures (P71) and during a slide 
show (P74), you can only select “Normal 
display I” or “No display K”.

The available flash settings depend on the 
recording mode.

– When the camera has determined that 
there is little jitter when the optical image 
stabilizer is set to [MODE1] or [MODE2].
 In intelligent auto mode [ ], shutter 
speed changes depending on the 
identified scene.

 The self-timer indicator C blinks and 
the shutter is activated after 10 seconds 
(or 2 seconds).
 If you press [MENU/SET] while the 
self-timer is set, the self-timer setting is 
canceled.
 When using a tripod etc., setting the 
self-timer to 2 seconds is a convenient 
way to avoid the jitter caused by pressing
