    Recording
    Applicable modes: 
    This prevents the recording of wind-noise automatically.
    [OFF]/[AUTO]Note
    •
    Sound quality may be different than usual when [WIND CUT] is set.•It is fixed to [OFF] in the following cases.–In [MINIATURE EFFECT] in Creative Control Mode–In [HIGH SPEED VIDEO] in Scene Mode–When the [ZOOM MIC] is set to [ON]
    Applicable modes: 
    Coupled to the zoom operation, it will clearly record far sounds with tele, and surrounding 
    sounds with wide.
    [OFF]/[ON]
    Note
    •
    When set to [ON] and performing zoom, the operation sound may be recorded enhanced in 
    accordance with the surrounding sounds. Also, audio recording level will  be lower compared to 
    when [OFF].
    •The stereo effect of the audio is reduced when the picture is enlarged.•It is fixed to [OFF] in the following cases.–In [MINIATURE EFFECT] in Creative Control Mode–In [HIGH SPEED VIDEO] in Scene Mode

    ∫About the burst picture group
    Pictures taken with burst 
    speed set to [ ] or [ ] are recorded as 
    a single burst picture group.
    The burst icon [
    ˜]  A  will be displayed for the burst picture group.
    •
    Deleting and editing in a group unit is possible. (For example, if you 
    delete a burst picture group with [ ˜], all the pictures in that group are 
    deleted.)
    Note
    •Burst pictures recorded after the number of burst pictures has exceeded 50000 will not be 
    grouped.
    •Burst pictures recorded on other cameras may not be recognized as a burst picture group. •Burst pictures will not be grouped if recorded without setting the clock.•If you delete all pictures except  one, that picture will be saved as a single picture instead of as 
    a burst picture group.

    Press 2/1  to select a picture with a burst icon [ ˜], and then press 3 .
    ∫ Operations when continuously playing back the burst picture group
    The cursor displayed during playback is the same as  3/4 /2/ 1.
    ¢ These operations can be performed only in the Pause Mode.
    1Select a picture with a burst icon [ ˜], and then press  4.2Press  2/1  to select the picture.
    •Press 4 again to return to the normal playback screen.•The same playback controls used for normal pictures can be used for pictures within the 
    burst picture group. (Such as Multi Playback, Playback Zoom and deleting images)
    •The following editing menu can be used.–[UPLOAD SET]/[TITLE EDIT]/[TEXT STAMP]/[RESIZE]/[CROPPING]¢/[LEVELING]¢/
    [ROTATE DISP.]/[FAVORITE]/[PRINT SET]/[PROTECT]/[COPY]

    ∫ About display of [FAVORITE], [PRINT SET] and [PROTECT] icons during playback 
    of burst picture groups
    By setting [FAVORITE]  (P150), [PRINT SET]  (P151), or [PROTECT]  (P153) setting to a 
    picture in the Burst Picture Group, number of settings (number of settings and total 
    number when [PRINT SET] is set) is displayed on the icon for the first picture of each 
    group.

    For details on the various ways of editing, refer to “Using the [PLAYBACK] Mode Menu”. (P140)•Pictures for which you have performed [TEXT STAMP], [RESIZE], [CROPPING] or 
    [LEVELING] will be saved separately from burst pictures.
    Editing in burst picture group units (All pictures in the burst picture group)

    Various methods to play back
    You can play back the recorded pictures in various methods.
    Press [MENU/SET] during playback.
    Press 1.
    Press  3/4 to select the item and then press [MENU/SET].
    •Following items can be selected.
    ¢ The playback method for the 3D pictures can be switched. This menu is only 
    displayed during HDMI output. Refer to  P160 for details about the playback 
    method.

    You can play back the pictures you have taken in synchronisation with music, and you can 
    do this in sequence while leaving a fixed interval between each of the pictures.
    You can also put together a slide show co mposed of only still pictures, only motion 
    pictures, only 3D pictures etc.
    We recommend this feature when you view your  pictures by connecting the camera to a 
    TV.

    Select the group to play back by pressing  3/4, 
    and then press [MENU/SET].
    •Refer to  P160 for the method to play back [3D PLAY] pictures in 
    3D.
    •During [CATEGORY SELECTION], press  3/4/2/1 to select 
    a category, and then press [MENU/SET]. Refer to  P139 for 
    category details.
    Press  3 to select [START] and then press [MENU/SET].
    Press  4 to finish the slide show.
    •Normal playback resumes after the slide show finishes.

    The cursor displayed during playback is the same as  3/4 /2/ 1.
    ¢ These operations can be performed only in the Pause Mode, during Motion Picture and 
    Burst Picture Group playback.

    ∫Changing the slide show settings
    You can change the settings for slide show playback by selecting [EFFECT] or [SETUP] 
    on the slide show menu screen.
    [EFFECT]
    This allows you to select the screen effects when switching from one picture to the next.
    [NATURAL], [SLOW], [SWING], [URBAN], [OFF], [AUTO]
    •
    When [URBAN] has been selected, the picture may appear in black and white as a screen 
    effect.
    •[AUTO] can be used only when [CATEGORY SELECTION] has been selected. The pictures 
    are played back with the recommended effects in each category.
    •[EFFECT] is fixed to [OFF] during the [VIDEO ON LY] slide show, or during a slide show of 
    [ ] in [CATEGORY SELECTION].
    •Even if [EFFECT] is set, it does not work during a slide show of burst picture group.•Some [EFFECT] will not operate when playing back pictures displayed vertically.
    [SETUP]
    [DURATION] or [REPEAT] can be set.
    •
    [DURATION] can be set only when [OFF] has been selected as the [EFFECT] setting.•Even if [DURATION] is set, it does not work du ring a slide show of motion pictures or slide 
    show of burst picture group.
    •[OUTPUT] will only appear when set to HDMI output and [3D PLAYBACK]  (P60) is set to [ ].

    [SOUND] [OFF]: There will be no sound.
    [AUTO]: Music is played when the still pictures are played 
    back, and audio is played when the motion pictures 
    are played back.
    [MUSIC]: Music is played back.
    [AUDIO]: Audio (only for motion pictures) is played back.
    [OUTPUT] [ ]: The slide show is output in normal format.
    [ ]: The slide show is output in 3D.

    Pictures are classified into only still pictures, only motion pictures, or only 3D pictures, and 
    played back.
    Press  3/4 to select the item and then press [MENU/
    SET].
    •Refer to P160 for the method to play back [3D PLAY] pictures in 3D.
    This mode allows you to search images by  Scene Mode or other categories (such as 
    [PORTRAIT], [SCENERY] or [NIGHT SCENERY]) and sort the pictures into each of the 
    categories. You can then play back the pictures in each category.
    Press  3/4/2/ 1 to select the category and then press 
    [MENU/SET] to set.
    •If a picture is found in a category, the category icon turns blue.•Pictures are sorted into the categories shown below.
    ¢ Press  3/4 /2/ 1 to select the person to play back and then press [MENU/SET].
    The whole group with pictures taken with burst settings [ ] and [ ] will be treated as 
    face recognition pictures.
    You can play back the pictures you have set as [FAVORITE]  (P150).

    Using the [PLAYBACK] Mode Menu
    You can setup pictures to be uploaded to image sharing sites and perform editing like 
    cropping recorded pictures, as well as set up the protection of recorded images, etc.
    •
    With [TEXT STAMP], [RESIZE], [CROPPING] or [L EVELING], a new edited picture is created. 
    A new picture cannot be created if there is no free space on the built-in memory or the card so 
    we recommend checking that there is free space and then editing the picture.
    You can display pictures by recording date.
    Note
    •
    The recording date of the picture selected in the playback screen becomes the date selected 
    when the calendar screen is first displayed.
    •If there are multiple pictures with the same recording date, the first picture recorded on that day 
    is displayed.
    •You can display the calendar between January 2000 and December 2099.•If the date is not set in the camera, the recording date is set as January 1st, 2011.•If you take pictures after setting the travel destination in [WORLD TIME], the pictures are 
    displayed by the dates at the travel destination in calendar playback.
    [CALENDAR]
    Select [CALENDAR] on the [PLAYBACK] Mode menu.  (P48)
    Press  3/4/2/ 1 to select the date to be played 
    back.
    •If there were no pictures recorded during a month, the month is 
    not displayed.
    Press [MENU/SET] to display the pictures that 
    were recorded on the selected date.
    •Press [ ‚] to return to the calendar screen.
