Quick Guide
Prepare following items.
Camera
Battery
Memory card
AC adaptor
Check that the power switch is set to 
[OFF].
1Insert the battery into the camera.

camera, in order to charge the

Inserting the Battery
[Preparation]
Set the power switch to [OFF].
1Slide the lock lever.
2Open the battery door and the inside 
door. 
3Insert the battery while pressing the 
inside door.
Insert the battery with the arrow part 
upward and terminal part downward.
4Close the battery door.
5Lock lever on battery door.
When the camera will not be used for a 
long time, remove the battery.
(When inserting the battery again, set the 
date again)

Charging the Battery
[Preparation]
Set the power switch to [OFF].
1Insert the battery into the camera.

2Plug the AC adaptor into the 
electrical outlet.
The green status indicator 
1 blinks 
and charging starts.
During charging the battery, do not 
open the battery door.
THE SOCKET OUTLET SHALL BE 
INSTALLED NEAR THE EQUIPMENT 
AND SHALL BE EASILY ACCESSIBLE.

Inserting the Card
[Preparation]
Set the power switch to [OFF].
1Slide the lock lever.
2Open the memory card door.
3Insert the card all the way in until it 
clicks.
Check the direction of the card.
4Close the memory card door.

ª Access to the card
When you access to the card, the 
green status indicator 
1 lights.
When the status indicator lights, do 
not remove the battery. Besides, do 
not open the memory card door and 
do not pull the card out. The card and 
the card contents could be destroyed 
and the camera could not operate 
normally.
As the card contents could be 
damaged or erased because of the 
electrical noise, static electricity and 
camera and card defects, store the 
important data also in PC (P66) using

Turning Power on/off
[In recording]
[Turning the power on]
1Slide the REC/power switch to open 
the lens cover.
2Furthermore, after sliding the switch 
and turning on, set the REC mode.
The status indicator wil light.
[Turning the power off]
3Slide back the REC/power switch and 
turn the power off.
4Furtermore, after sliding back the 
switch, close the lens cover again.
Check that the lens is stored in 
completely and then close the lens

Attaching the Strap
