    							IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
    When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
    always be followed including the following:
    1. Read all instructions.
    2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
    3. To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plugs,
    and Rice Co=oker, except lid and pan, in water or other liquid
    4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
    near children.
    5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
    cool before putting on or taking off parts.
    6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after
    the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
    Retuin appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for
    examination, repair, or adjustment.
    7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
    appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
    8. Do not use outdoors.
    9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot
    surfaces.
    10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
    oven.
    11. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
    containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
    12. Always afiach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall
    outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to off, then remove plug
    from wall outlet.
    13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

    This product is intended for household use.
    NOTE
    A. A short power-supply cord (or cord set) is to be provided to reduce
    the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over
    a longer cord.
    B. Longer cord set or extension cords are available and may be used
    if care is exercised in their use.
    C.lf a long cord set or extension cord is used,
    (1) the marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord
    should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance
    (2) if the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should

    							Cautions
    Be sure to observe the following to prevent
    malfunction that may cause an accident:
    . DO NOT use this rice cooker for any purpose
    other than cooking rice and steaming food
    . Measure the quantity of rice and water according
    to the Operating Instructions.
    . Clean the rrce cooker, particularly the dew
    collector, after using.
    . Keeo holes that drain into the dew collector
    clean and free of debris.
    r Plug into a properly wired wall outlet. Before you
    plug it in, make sure the voltage of the unit is the
    same as your local suPPlY.
    . DO NOT immerse the unit in water.
    . The paper located between the pan and the
    heating plate must be removed before using.
    . After plugging in, press the switch on immediately.
    Cooking viitn tne switch in Keep Warm position will
    cause low-heat cooking and rice will not be cooked
    propeny.
    . The unit becomes hot when in use. DO NOT touch
    the lid with your hand, and do not place your face
    or hand directly over the steam coming
    from the cooker.
    r Always keep the outside bottom of the pan and the
    heating plate clean and dry. Any foreign matter
    between them will cause the unit to malfunction.

    CAUTION
    Pullthe power plug as shown
    . Set the unit on a stable surface.
    DO NOT expose to water, high humidity, or heat
    sources. DO NOT use the pan directly on an
    open flame.

    . Be sure to keep the unit out of the reach of children,
    especially when cooking rice.
    . DO NOT tilt the rice cooker on its edge or place it
    upside down with its power supply plug connected,
    as this may cause damage. When tilting or placing
    the rice cooker upside down, make sure to
    disconnect the Power suPPlY Plug.
    . The oan must not be filled above the. MAXIMUM LEVEL .
    . The lid must be closed tightly in the latched position
    at alltimes during cooking, i.e. the unit must not be
    operated with the lid oPened.
    . DO NOT cover the lid with a cloth as it may
    deform or change color.
    . DO NOT damage the power cord and do not
    attempt to repair it if it is damaged.
    Avoid damage to the power cord. Never attempt to
    customize the cord. Keep the cord away from high
    temperatures. Avoid unnecessary bending, twisting
    and pulling on the cord. Never place heavy objects
    on the cord or attempt to tie it up. Using a damaged
    power cord can lead to electrical shock, shorting
    or fire.
    o Consult your nearest sales dealer for repair of the
    electrical cord or Power Plug.
     Ensure that the plug fits all the way into the outlet.
    Uncompleted plug-in may cause electrical hazards.

    How to Cook
    Place rinsed rice in the pan. Add water,
    e.g. for 6 cups of rice, add water to LEVEL INDICATOR 6.
    . Do not rinse rice in the rice
    cooker pan as non-stick coating
    may be damaged.
    r Adjust the quantity of water
    your personal taste.
    r Soak rice in water at least

    Set the steam cap onto the outer lid.
    Place the pan in the body.
    Make sure that the pan is directly
    in contact with the heating plate by
    turning it slightly from right to left until
    it seats properly.
    Close the outer lid.
    The lid is locked properly when it clicks.

    setting. The Keep Warm lamp lights up to indicate that the

    Put 2 cups of water with the
    measuring cup provided, into the pan.

    Set the pan into the body.

    Set the steam cap onto the outer lid. Close the outer lid.

    when cooking has started.
    Time the cooking manually.-Unit will automatically switch to Keep Warm when water

    cleansing powder or metal scrubbers.

    How to fit steam cap.
    1. lnsert the valve holder into the
    steam cap by setting the tab of
    the holder (A) into the slot of the
    cap (B) and turn it from left to
    right until it seats properly.
    How to fit steam dome.
    (ln case its accidentally taken off)
    Place steam dome into its holder
    by inserting steam dome tabs (C)
    into slot (D). Align mark on
    dome (1) and mark on
    steam cp (2).
    Then, press
    steam dome
    into steam cap
    until it seats
    properly (You ll
    Note :The steam dome will only fit
    one wav. Do not force it in as it
    may be damaged.
    2. Put the steam cap into the hole
    of outer lid.

    and sponge and wipe off.
    lf an object has become stuck to the sensor, lightly polish

    Then, wipe with a damp cloth.
