Connecting to AC PowerThe PD7170 ships with various types of AC power cords. Choose the one that is 
appropriate to your locale. 
Plug the female end of the power cord into the AC receptacle on the rear of 
the projector (AC 100V ~ 240V); see 
Figure 2-3. Then, connect the other end to

Installing the Optional Stray Light Shield: For 
installations that require significant vertical lens shift 
(50% or more of the screen height), a lens shield is 
provided with the PD7170 that minimizes stray light 
around the image. 
The light shield attaches to threads at the end of the

Using Picture-In-Picture 
(PIP)
For PIP purposes, there are three groups of inputs 
separated by their display modes: 
• Video (SD) group: Video, S-Video and SCART 
inputs.
• Graphic (HD) group:  Component 1, Component 2 and RGB inputs.
• Digital Video group:  HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 inputs.
PIP shows one input from any of these groups within or beside one input from 
either of the other two groups.
