Each ID in the block is unique. The
left-most digit is the block number in
the ID. The next two digits identify
which fleet is active, and the last dig-
it(s) (after the hyphen) identifies the
subfleet.
The size codes selected by a Type I
system designer depend on the spe-
cific needs of the system’s users.

PC REMOTE FUNCTION
Your scanner’s PC Remote function
lets you connect the scanner to a
computer then use the computer to
operate most of the scanner’s func-
tions, the same way as if you were us-
ing the keys on the scanner’s front
panel.

: Always turn off the computer
before connecting or disconnecting
your scanner. Otherwise you could

FUNCTION ON AND OFF
To turn the remote function on or off,
hold down 
REMOTE until the scanner
beeps.
