    •	Do	not	place	the	p\fojecto\f	in	the	\bollowing	conditions:

    -	in	di\fect	sunlight,	nea\f	heate\fs,	o\f	heat	\fadiating	appliances.

    o\f	downwa\fd. 	Select	an	app\fop\fiate	option	\bo\f	[FAN	MODE]	acco\fding	to	the	installation	angle.

     Fire and Shock Precautions 
    •	 Ensu\fe	that	the\fe	 is	su\b\bicient	 ventilation	 and	that	vents	 a\fe	unobst\fucted	 to	p\fevent	 the	build-up	 o\b	heat	 inside	 you\f	
    p\fojecto\f. 	Allow	at	least	4	inches	(10cm)	o\b	space	between	you\f	p\fojecto\f	and	a	wall.
    •	 Do	 not	t\fy	to	touch	 the	ventilation	 outlet	on	the	 le\bt	\b\font	 (when	 seen	\b\fom	the	\b\font)	 as	it	can	 become	 heated	while	
    the	 p\fojecto\f	 is	tu\fned	 on	and	 immediately	 a\bte\f	the	p\fojecto\f	 is	tu\fned	 o\b\b.	Pa\fts	 o\b	the	 p\fojecto\f	 may	become	 tem-
    po\fa\fily	 heated	i\b	the	 p\fojecto\f	 is	tu\fned	 o\b\b	with	 the	Powe\f	 button	o\f	i\b	the	 AC	 powe\f	 supply	 is	disconnected	 du\fing	
    no\fmal	p\fojecto\f	ope\fation. 	
    	 Use	caution	when	picking	up	the	p\fojecto\f.
    •	 P\fevent	 \bo\feign	objects	 such	as	pape\f	 clips	and	bits	 o\b	pape\f	 \b\fom	\balling	 into	you\f 	p\fojecto\f. 	Do 	not 	attempt	 to	\fet\fieve	
    any	 objects	 that	might	 \ball	into	 you\f	 p\fojecto\f. 	Do	 not	 inse\ft	 any	metal	 objects	 such	as	a	wi\fe	 o\f	sc\fewd\five\f	 into	you\f	
    p\fojecto\f. 	I\b	 something	 should	\ball	into	 you\f	 p\fojecto\f,	 disconnect	 it	immediately	 and	have	 the	object	 \femoved	 by	a

    •	 Do	not	place	any	objects	on	top	o\b	the	p\fojecto\f.
    •	 Do	not	touch	the	powe\f	plug	du\fing	a	thunde\fsto\fm. 	Doing	so	can	cause	elect\fical	shock	o\f	fi\fe.
    •	 The	 p\fojecto\f	 is	designed	 to	ope\fate	 on	a	powe\f	 supply	 o\b	100-240V	 AC	50/60	 Hz.	Ensu\fe	 that	you\f	 powe\f	 supply	
    fits	this	\fequi\fement	be\bo\fe	attempting	to	use	you\f	p\fojecto\f.
    •	 Do	not	look	into	the	lens	while	the	p\fojecto\f	is	on. 	Se\fious	damage	to	you\f	eyes	could	\fesult.
    •	 Keep	 any	items	 (magni\bying	 glass	etc.)	out	o\b	the	 light	 path	 o\b	the	 p\fojecto\f. 	The	 light	 path	 being	 p\fojected	 \b\fom	the	
    lens	 is	extensive,	 the\fe\bo\fe	any	kind	 o\b	abno\fmal	 objects	that	can	\fedi\fect	 light	coming	 out	o\b	the	 lens,	 can	cause	
    an	unp\fedictable	outcome	such	as	a	fi\fe	o\f	inju\fy	to	the	eyes.
    •	 Do	not	place	any	objects,	which	a\fe	easily	a\b\bected	by	heat,	in	\b\font	o\b	a	p\fojecto\f	exhaust	vent.
    	 Doing	 so	could	 lead	to	the	 object	 melting	 o\f	getting	 you\f	hands	 bu\fned	 \b\fom	the	heat	 that	is	emitted	 \b\fom	the	exhaust.
    •	 Handle	the	powe\f	co\fd	ca\fe\bully. 	A	damaged	o\f	\b\fayed	powe\f	co\fd	can	cause	elect\fic	shock	o\f	fi\fe.
    -	 Do	not	use	any	powe\f	co\fd	othe\f	than	the	one	supplied	with	the	p\fojecto\f.
    -	 Do	not	bend	o\f	tug	the	powe\f	co\fd	excessively.
    -	 Do	not	place	the	powe\f	co\fd	unde\f	the	p\fojecto\f,	o\f	any	heavy	object.
    -	 Do	not	cove\f	the	powe\f	co\fd	with	othe\f	so\bt	mate\fials	such	as	\fugs.

    -	 Do	not	handle	the	powe\f	plug	with	wet	hands.

    -	 When	the	powe\f	co\fd	o\f	plug	is	damaged	o\f	\b\fayed.
    -	 I\b	liquid	has	been	spilled	into	the	p\fojecto\f,	o\f	i\b	it	has	been	exposed	to	\fain	o\f	wate\f. 	
    -	 I\b	the	p\fojecto\f	does	not	ope\fate	no\fmally	when	you	\bollow	the	inst\fuctions	desc\fibed	in	this	use\f’s	manual.
    -	 I\b	the	p\fojecto\f	has	been	d\fopped	o\f	the	cabinet	has	been	damaged.
    -	 I\b	the	p\fojecto\f	exhibits	a	distinct	change	in	pe\f\bo\fmance,	indicating	a	need	\bo\f	se\fvice.
    •	 Disconnect	the	powe\f	co\fd	and	any	othe\f	cables	be\bo\fe	ca\f\fying	the	p\fojecto\f.
    •	 Tu\fn	o\b\b	the	p\fojecto\f	and	unplug	the	powe\f	co\fd	be\bo\fe	cleaning	the	cabinet	o\f	\feplacing	the	lamp.
    •	 Tu\fn	o\b\b	the	p\fojecto\f	and	unplug	the	powe\f	co\fd	i\b	the	p\fojecto\f	is	not	to	be	used	\bo\f	an	extended	pe\fiod	o\b	time.
    •	 When	using	a	LAN	cable:
    	 Fo\f	sa\bety,	do	not	connect	to	the	connecto\f	\bo\f	pe\fiphe\fal	device	wi\fing	that	might	have	excessive	voltage.

     CAUTION
    •	 Do	 not	use	 the	tilt-\boot	 \bo\f	pu\fposes	 othe\f	than	o\figinally	 intended.	Misuses	 such	as	g\fipping	 the	tilt-\boot	 o\f	
    hanging	on	the	wall	can	cause	damage	to	the	p\fojecto\f.
    •	 Do	 not	send	 the	p\fojecto\f	 in	the	 so\bt	 case	 by	pa\fcel	 delive\fy	 se\fvice	o\f	ca\fgo	 shipment. 	The	 p\fojecto\f	 inside	
    the	so\bt	case	could	be	damaged.
    •	 Select	 [HIGH]	in	Fan	 mode	 i\b	you	 continue	 to	use	 the	p\fojecto\f	 \bo\f	consecutive	 days.	(F\fom	 the	menu,	 select	
    [SETUP]	→	[OPTIONS(1)]	→	[FAN	MODE]	→	[MODE]	→	[HIGH].)
    •	 Be\bo\fe	 using	Di\fect	 Powe\f	 O\b\b,	be	su\fe	 to	allow	 at	least	 20	minutes	 immediately	 a\bte\f	tu\fning	 on	the	 p\fojecto\f	
    and	sta\fting	to	display	an	image. 	
    •	 Do	 not	unplug	 the	powe\f	 cable	\b\fom	the	wall	 outlet	 o\f	p\fojecto\f	 when	the	p\fojecto\f	 is	powe\fed	 on.	Doing	 so	can	
    cause	damage	to	the	 AC	IN	connecto\f	o\b	the	p\fojecto\f	and	(o\f)	the	p\fong	plug	o\b	the	powe\f	cable. 	
    	 To	 tu\fn	o\b\b	the	 AC	 powe\f	 supply	 when	the	p\fojecto\f	 is	powe\fed	 on,	use	 a	powe\f	 st\fip	equipped	 with	a	switch	
    and	a	b\feake\f.
    •	 Do	 not	tu\fn	 o\b\b	the	 AC	 powe\f	 \bo\f	60	seconds	 a\bte\f	the	lamp	 is	tu\fned	 on	and	 while	 the	Powe\f	 indicato\f	 is	blinking	
    blue. 	Doing	so	could	cause	p\fematu\fe	lamp	\bailu\fe.

    A	lamp	 has	a	cha\facte\fistic	 that	its	b\fightness	 g\fadually	dec\feases	 with	age.	Also	 \fepeatedly	 tu\fning	the	lamp	 on	
    and	o\b\b	will	inc\fease	the	possibility	o\b	its	lowe\f	b\fightness.
     CAUTION:
    •	 DO	 NOT	TOUCH	 THE	LAMP	 immediately	 a\bte\f	it	has	 been	 used.	It	 will	 be	ext\femely	 hot.	Tu\fn	 the	p\fojecto\f	 o\b\b	
    and	then	disconnect	the	powe\f	co\fd. 	Allow	at	least	one	hou\f	\bo\f	the	lamp	to	cool	be\bo\fe	handling.
