ROILEIFLEX ond ROTLEICORD
5ix salient features stand out like milestones
along the Rollei road to norld -wide success :
IMAGE PREVIEWED
Even photographing with sense means doinga iob blindfolded. Not so with the wvin-lensreflex system, the view-finder of whidr proiects
a brilliant upright imaqe upon the focusingscreen. This makes it possible to judge anddetermine the proper angle, framing andsharpness of the picture both before andduring the exposure. The ROLLEI is the camerawith the built-in photo-coadr...

Applied to practical photography, this means:
iudicial droice of subject, matter and compo-sition, while making the fullest use of the entirepicture area.
THE NATURAI VIEW
The human eye takes circular views of theoutside world. In contrdst to the uprighi andhcrizontal image, the square picture of theROLLEI is most closely adapted to humanvision. That is why ROLLEI photos appear sorealistic.

AUTOMATIC SHARP.FOCUSING
The mere turning of a knob puts the ground-glass screen into
critical focus, the same action autontdtically sharp-focuses forexposure/ thanks io the rigid systenr coupling of finder and
t.rking lenses.
The taking lens, moreover, has a greater depth of focus
than that indicated on the grouncl-glass screen by the faster
vier,v-finder lens. As a result, neg,rtives of pin-point definition
will be assured even if sharp-locusinc; was not quite up to
the mark....

AUTOMATIC OPER.ATION
MAKES SHOOTING EASY
A flip of the finger - and the focusing hoodsprings open. Aperture and shutter speed dialsmay be easily read and adiusted while viewingthe ground-grlass screen. A half-turn of the crank(or a turn of the knob) moves the film forward. These automatic features are, however, taken forgranted in a precision-built camera. The uniqueautomatic syndrronisation, whitfi is found in theROLLEIFLEX only, makes it possible to Sange thefllm in a few seconds even in complete...

UNIVERSAL USE
The optimal width of angle of the modern taking
lens recommends it for use in ptess-reporting
engineerin g, ardtitecture and landscapes. Atta&a ble
Rolleinar lenses also permit photographing small
and the smallest objects so that an all-round
optical versatility is assured.
The critical definition of the 21/n x 21/n ROLLEI
negative, always renders large-scale enlargementspossible of even small sections of a negative.
Apart from this universal application of the ROLLEI,
its versatility is...

The automatic ROLLEIFLEX is the
rollfilm camera with no red window - Ifor the film is merely attadred to the

by the unique automatic film feed.
