Press [D] repeatedly to change the display type.

Locking or unlocking the lens
To lock the lens, pull and hold the zoom lock switch away from the camera

Connecting the external flash
1 Remove the hot-shoe cover from the camera.
2 Mount the flash by sliding it into the hot-shoe.
3 Lock the flash into place by turning the hot-shoe fastening dial 
clockwise.
4 Lift up the flash for use.
