    3.Whenyoureachyourdesiredturn-on
    time,pressENTER,STANDBYstops
    flashing,yourturn-ontimeislockedin.
    For2to3seconds,theclockreturnsto
    thecurrenttimeautomatically.Ifthewrongnumberwaskeyed-
    in,deleteitbypressingtheCANCEL

    WIDEposition.IfyouplantolistentoMorsecode,referred
    toasCW(continuouswave),settheBFO
    switchtoONposition.Ifyouencounter
    toomuchnoiseasyoutune,settheAM
    NARROW/WIDEswitchtoNARROW

    Whilenotacontrol,youmayconsiderusing
    HEADPHONEStoobtainthebestaudio
    claritywhenlisteningtoSW.Sincemany
    SWstationsbroadcastonlymarginal
    signals,usingHEADPHONESwillenable
    youtodistinguishbetweenthesignaland
    thenoiseusuallyencounteredatnight.Be
    surethattheHEADPHONESterminateina
    1/8inchplug,whichisinsertedintothe
    HEADPHONEjacklocatedontheleftside
    oftheradio,markedwithsymbol
    WhentheHEADPHONESarepluggedin,
    thespeakerismuted.
    Becausetheradioiscapableofreceiving
    FMmultiplexstereo,StereoHEADPHONES
    Shouldbeused.Whenlisteningtostereo
    FM,besurethattheFM:STEREO/MONO
    switchissettotheSTEREOposition.LOCKSWITCHUSEUsingtheLOCKSwitchprevents
    unauthorizedoperationoftheradioandwill
    alsopreventthestationyouarelisteningto
    frombeingchanged.WhentheLOCK
    switchismovedtoitsupposition,the
