Afin d’assurer un fonctionnement sans ennui
de la calculatrice SHARP, veuillez prendre les
précautions suivantes:
1. Ne pas laisser la calculatrice dans les
endroits sujets à de forts changements de
température, à l’humidité, et à la poussière.
2. Pour le nettoyage de la calculatrice, utiliser
un chiffon doux et sec. Ne pas utiliser de
solvants ni un chiffon humide.
3. Cet appareil n’étant pas étanche, il ne faut
pas l’utiliser ou l’entreposer dans des
endroits où il risquerait d’être mouillé, par
exemple par de l’eau. La pluie, l’eau
brumisée, les jus de fruits, le café, la
vapeur, la transpiration, etc. sont à l’origine
de dysfonctionnements.
4. Si une réparation s’avérait nécessaire,
confier l’appareil à un distributeur agréé par
SHARP et assurant l’entretien, à un service
d’entretien agréé par SHARP, ou à un
centre d’entretien SHARP.
5. Ne pas entourer le cordon électrique autour
du corps de l’appareil ou ne pas le courber
ou le tordre fortement.
SHARP ne peut pas être tenu responsable
pour tout incident ou dommage
économique consécutif ou matériels,

Lors des additions et des soustractions,

•Le compte est imprimé lorsque le
résultat calculé est obtenu.

Note: La capacité du compteur est de 3
chiffres maximum (jusqu’à ±999). Si le
compte dépasse ce maximum, le

Note:•Il est possible de mettre en mémoire
une valeur de taux de conversion de
devise et de taux de taxe/remise. La
mise en mémoire d’un taux efface le
taux précédemment mis en mémoire.
•Si la fiche du cordon d’alimentation
est débranchée, le taux de
conversion de devise et le taux de
taxe/remise présentement mis en
mémoire sont effacés.A fin de que su calculadora SHARP funcione
sin averías, le recomendamos lo siguiente:
1. Evite dejar la calculadora en ambientes en
que haya cambios de temperatura,
humedad y polvo bastante notables.
2. Al limpiar la calculadora, utilice un paño
suave y seco. No use disolventes ni
tampoco un paño húmedo.
3. Debido a que este producto no es a prueba
de agua, no deberá ser utilizado o
guardado en lugares donde pudiera ser
salpicado por líquidos, por ejemplo agua.
Gotas de lluvia, salpicaduras de agua,
jugos o zumos, café, vapor, transpiración,
etc. también perjudican el funcionamiento
del producto.
4. Si necesita reparar esta unidad, diríjase
sólo a un distribuidor SHARP, a un centro
de servicio autorizado por SHARP o a un
centro de reparaciones SHARP.

For addition or subtraction, each time
is pressed, 1 is added to the item
counter, and each time is pressed,
1 is subtracted.
•The count is printed when the
calculated result is obtained.

Note: The counter has a maximum capacity of
3 digits (up to ±999). If the count
exceeds the maximum, the counter will
recount from zero.
DECIMAL SELECTOR:
Presets the number of decimal places in the
answer. In the ‘‘F’’ position, the answer is
displayed in the floating decimal system.
‘‘K’’: The following constant functions will be
performed:
Multiplication:
The calculator will automatically remember the
first number entered (the multiplicand) and
instruction.
Division:
The calculator will automatically remember the
second number entered (the divisor) and
instruction.
‘‘•’’: Neutral
‘‘A’’: Use of the Add mode permits addition
and subtraction of numbers without an
entry of the decimal point. When the Add
mode is activated, the decimal point is
automatically positioned according to the
decimal selector setting.
Use of
, and will automatically
override the Add mode and decimally correct
answers will be printed at the preset decimal
position.
ROUNDING SELECTOR:

”: An answer is rounded up.

STORE KEY:
This key is used to store the conversion

Conversion rate:
•Enter the conversion rate, then press

•A maximum of 6 digits can be stored
(decimal point is not counted as a
digit).
Tax/discount rate:
•Enter the adding tax rate, then press
.
•To store a discount rate, press
before pressing .
•A maximum of 4 digits can be stored
(decimal point is not counted as a
digit).
Note:•For the conversion rate and the tax/
discount rate, a single value can be
stored for each. If you enter a new
rate, the previous rate will be
cleared.
•The stored values for the conversion
rate and the tax/discount rate will be
cleared if the power cable is
disconnected.

INK ROLLER REPLACEMENT
If printing is blurry even when the ink roller is
in the proper position, replace the roller.
Ink roller: Type EA-781R-BK (Black)
Type EA-781R-RD (Red)
WARNING:
APPLYING INK TO WORN INK ROLLER
OR USE OF UNAPPROVED INK ROLLER
MAY CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO
PRINTER.
1) Set the power switch to OFF.
2) Remove the printer cover. (Fig. 1)
3) Remove the ink roller by turning it
counterclockwise and pulling it upward.
(Fig. 2)
4) Install the correct color new ink roller and
press it in the correct position. Make sure
that the ink roller is securely in place. (Fig.
3)
5) Put back the printer cover.
REMPLACEMENT DU CYLINDRE ENCREUR
Si l’impression est floue bien que le cylindre
encreur soit dans la position convenable,
remplacer ce cylindre.

1) Placer l’interrupteur sur la position OFF.
2) Retirer le couvercle de l’imprimante. (Fig. 1)
3) Retirer le cylindre en le tournant dans le
sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre et
en le tirant vers le haut. (Fig. 2)
4) Installer le cylindre encreur neuf et pousser
la manette du cylindre encreur. Vérifier que
le cylindre encreur est bien en place. (Fig.
3)
5) Remettre en place le couvercle de
l’imprimante.
CAMBIO DEL RODILLO ENTINTADOR
Si la impresión queda borrosa aunque esté
bien colocado el rodillo entintador, reemplace
el rodillo.

EN LA IMPRESORA.
1) Poner el interruptor de corriente en “OFF”.
2) Sacar la tapa de la impresora. (Fig. 1)
3) Mover levemente el botón del rodillo
entintador hacia usted (en la dirección de
la flecha) y luego quitarlo. Tener cuidado
para que el rodillo entintador no se trabe
debajo del estuche. (Fig. 2)
4) Instalar el nuevo rodillo entintador y
empujar hacia dentro el botón del rodillo
entintador. Asegurarse de que el rodillo
entintador quede colocado firmemente en
su lugar. (Fig. 3)
5) Poner de nuevo en su lugar la tapa de la
impresora.

If the print become dull after long time
usage, clean the printing wheel according to
the following procedures:
1) Remove the printer cover and the ink roller.
2) Install the paper roll and feed it until it
comes out of the front of the printing
mechanism.
3) Put a small brush (like a tooth brush) lightly
to the printing wheel and clean it by
pressing
.
4) Put back the ink roller and the printer
cover.
Notes:•Never attempt to turn the printing belt or
restrict its movement while printing.
This may cause incorrect printing.
•Do not rotate the printing mechanism

There are several situations which will cause
an overflow or an error condition. When this
occurs, “E” will be displayed. The contents of
the memory at the time of the error are
retained.
If an ‘‘0E’’ is displayed at the time of the error,
must be used to clear the calculator. If an
‘‘E’’ with any numerals except zero is
displayed, the error may be cleared with
or and the calculation can still be
continued.
Also, in rare cases, printing may stop midway
and the indication “E” appear on the display.
This is not a malfunction but is caused when
the calculator is exposed to strong
electromagnetic noise or static electricity from
an external source. Should this occur, press
the
key and then repeat the calculation
from the beginning.
Error conditions:
1. Entry of more than 12 digits or 11
decimals. This error can be cleared with

2. When the integer portion of an answer exceeds 12 digits.
3. When the integer portion of the contents of the memory exceeds 12 digits.

Sharp warrants that this product is free, under normal use and maintenan\
ce, from any defects in material and workmanship. If
any such defects should be found in this product within the applicable w\
arranty period, Sharp shall, at its option, repair or r eplace
the product as specified herein.
This warranty shall not apply to:
(a) Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of abusive operation,\
negligence, accident,improper installation or inappropriate use as outlined in the owner’s manual.
(b) Any Sharp product tampered with, modified, adjusted or repaired by any p\
arty other than Sharp,Sharp’s Authorized Service Centres or Sharp’s Authorized Servicing Dealers.
(c) Damage caused or repairs required as a result of the use with items not \
specified or approved by Sharp, including but not limited to software, paper and batteries.
(d) Any replacement of accessories, glassware, consumable or peripheral item\
s required through normal use of the product
including but not limited to batteries, AC adapters, ribbons, correctio\
n tapes, ink rollers, cables, printwheel, or paper.
(e) Any cosmetic damage to the surface or exterior that has been defaced or \
caused by normal wear and tear.
(f) Any damage caused by external or environmental conditions, including but\
not limited to transmission line/power line voltage or liquid spillage.
(g) Any product received without appropriate model, serial number and CSA/CU\
L markings.
(h) Any products used for rental purposes.
(i) Any installation, setup and/or programming charges.
Should this Sharp product fail to operate during the warranty period, wa\
rranty service may be obtained upon delivery of the
Sharp product together with proof of purchase and a copy of this LIMITED\
WARRANTY statement to an Authorized Sharp
Service Centre or an Authorized Sharp Servicing Dealer.
This warranty constitutes the entire express warranty granted by Sharp a\
nd no other dealer, service centre or their agent or
employee is authorized to extend, enlarge or transfer this warranty on b\
ehalf of Sharp. To the extent the law permits, Sharp
disclaims any and all liability for direct or indirect damages or losses\
or for any incidental, special or consequential damage s or
loss of profits resulting from a defect in material or workmanship relat\
ing to the product, including damages for the loss of t ime

ill be responsible for any removal, reinstallation,
