ToDisassemble(FieldStrip) 1.RemoveMAGAZINEbypressingMAGAZINE RELEASEBUTTONonleftsideofFRAME totherearofTRIGGERGUARD,anddraw. ingMAGAZINEoutofBUTT. 2.InspecCCHAMBER-to-assurethatpistolisnot loaded. 3.PutSAFETYinfireorupperposition. 4.WhilepressingtoleftonrightendofSLIDE STOP(aboveTRIGGERonrightsideof FRAME)drawSLIDEtorearuntilRECESSin thelowerleftsideofSLIDEisalignedwith forwardendofSLIDESTOP.DrawSLIDE STOPcompletelyfromFRAME. 5.PullSLIDEforwardofffromFRAME. 6.WithSLIDEupsidedown,compressRECOIL SPRINGandliftoutRECOILSPRINGGUIDE ASSEMBLY. 7.RemoveBARRELBUSHINGbyrotatinglower portiontOwardleftsideofSLIDEanddrawing forwardoutofSLIDE. 8.RemoveBARRELbyliftingrearendbackand outofSLIDE. Nofurtherdisassemblyisrecommended,asthe pistOlmaybeproperlycleanedandlubricated whenfield-strippedasdescribedabove. Holdthumboverrearendoffiringpinandrelease griponpliers.Firingpinandfiringpinspring maynowberemoved.Manualsafetyplungerand plungerspringmayalsoberemovedfrommanual safetyopening. Driveextractorpinfromtopoutoftap~red hole,removeextractorandspring. ToReassemble Holdslidebottomup,placespringandextractor inslotandalignholes,drivepininclearofframe track.
