Creating Graffiti® ShortCuts
You can create abbreviations (ShortCuts) for entering text with Graffiti® 
strokes.
bFor details on using Graffiti® ShortCuts, refer to “Using Shortcuts” on page 55.
1Tap the arrow V at the top right of the Preferences screen 
and select ShortCuts.
2Tap New.
The ShortCut Entry screen is displayed.

A program handling the data of an application during the 
HotSync® operation is called a “conduit.”
For each application, you can define a set of options that determine how data 
is handled during synchronization. By default, the HotSync
® operation 
synchronizes all files/data between your CLIÉ handheld and the Palm™ 
Desktop for CLIÉ software.

Synchronize the files
Desktop overwrites handheld
Handheld overwrites Desktop

HotSync® operation with a computer equipped with an IrDA (Infrared Data 
Association) IR port. The IR HotSync® operation enables you to perform a
