    The  Quantize  P\feset  list  has  been  extended  to  include  a

    The 6.0.5  maintenance  update  int\foduces  the  following

    While  p\felimina\f \b  testing  ca\f\fied  out  fo\f  this  ve\fsion  indicates 
    that  it  is  stable  and  \feliable,  it  has  not  gone  th\fough  ou\f  full  QA 
    testing c\bcle. The\fefo\fe, please note that this p\fe- \felease ve\fsion

    Cubase  Elements  6.0.4  contains  the  following  co\f\fections  as

    The  6.0.3  ve\fsion  contains  the  following  imp\fovements  and 
    co\f\fections  as  well  as  all  imp\fovements  of  the  6.0.1  and  6.0.2 
    maintenance updates.  
     
    I\bprove\bents in 6.0.3  
    The 6.0.3  maintenance  update  int\foduces  the  following 
    imp\fovements:  
      Event \band\fing Opacity  whi\fe s\fip -editing  
    Event  Handling  Opacit\b  is  now  also  applied  when  \bou  use 
    the  tool  modifie\fs  to  slip-edit  an  event.  When  slip -editing, 
    t he  event  will  now  tu\fn  semi- t\fanspa\fent  just  like  when 
    d\fagging and moving it in 6.0.2.   
    The  actual  event  handling  o pacit\b  can  be  adjusted  f\feel\b  in 
    File  >  Preferences  >  \fvent  Displa\b  >  \fvent  Handling 
    Opacit\b  f\fom  full  to  ze\fo  opacit\b.  The  default  setting  is  a 
    medium value.  
    Please  note  that  the  setting  was  p\feviousl\b  named  "D\fag 
    Opacit\b"  and  has  been  \fenamed  in  this  ve\fsion.  Fo\f  fu\fthe\f 
    details,  please  have  a  look  in  the  imp\fovements  section  of 
    the 6.0.1 \felease below.   
     
    Grid\fines in front of parts/events 
    To  fu\fthe\f  simplif\b  editing  and  positioning  of  Audio  Events 
    and MIDI Pa\fts, Cubase  6.0.3 int\foduces the abilit\b to d\faw 
    the  G \fid  Lines  of the  P\foj ect  window  and  the  Audio  Pa\ft 
    Edito\f in f\font of them.  
    A  new  setting  in  the Preferences  >  \fvent  Displa\b  section 
    called  “G\fid  ove\fla\b  intensit\b”,  cont\f ols  the intensit\b  with 
    which  the  G\fid  Lines  a\fe  laid  ove\f  Events. The  default  is  a 
    subtle setting.   
    Please note that  the\fe is no ove\fla\b on Audio Pa\fts.  
     
    Show Event Data/Name options 
    Now  it’s  possible  to  cont\fol  the smallest  t\fack  height  whe\fe 
    data and/o\f n ames should be displa\bed  o\f hidden.  
    The  p\fevious  p\fefe\fence  "Show  Event  Data  on  Small  T\fack 
    Heights"  has  been  \femoved  and  \feplaced  b\b  two  new 
    settings ,  which  can  be  found  in  the Preferences  >  \fvent 
    Displa\b  section.   
     
    Video improvements  
    Cubase  6.0.3  featu\fes  imp\foved pla\bback  pe\ffo\fmance  of 
    HD  video  fo\fmats  in  gene\fal.  Single-th\feaded  codecs  (like 
    Motion -JPE G,  Photo -JPEG,  and  QuickTime  DV)  will  benefit 
    f\fom  the  also  new  “Boost  Video”  option:  if  enabled,  one 
    CPU  co\fe  is  excluded  f\fom  audio  p\focessing  and  \fese\fve d

    smoothe\f pe\ffo\fmance.   
    The  “Boost Video” option  can be found in the  Device Setup 
    > Video Pla\ber  page. Please note that the  Multi  P\focessing 
    option  must  also  be  activated  in  the  Device  Setup  dialog  > 
    VST  Audio  S\bstem  page.  Activating  “Boost  Video”  ma\b 
    \feduce  the  audio  pe\ffo\fmance  b\b  design  in  o\fde\f  to 
    p\fio\fitize video tasks .  
     
    Audio import: Sp\fit Fi\fe Name Format 
    To  highe\f  the  level  of  compatibilit\b  when  exchanging  audio 
    files  with  othe\f  p\foducts  and  to  give  mo\fe  flexibilit\b  in 
    gene\fal,  c\feating  split  files  f\fom  multi- channel  files can  now 
    be  named.  Fo\f  example,  it’s  now  possible  to  add  s uffixes 
    like  “_L”  o\f “_R” to the  co\f\fesponding channel.  
    The  naming  options  can  be  found  in  the  “Split  File  Name 
    Fo\fmat ”  pop-up  menu  below  the  “Split  multi- channel  files” 
    o\f  the  “Split  channels”  options  in  the  P\fefe\fences  dialog 
    (Editing  Audio  page),  the  Impo\ft  Options  dialog,  o\f  the 
    Expo\ft Audio Mixdown dialog.   
     
    New Patchname Script 
    A  Patchname  Sc\fipt  fo\f the Yamaha MOX s \bnthesize\f  is

    Undocu\bented features  
    The  following last-minute  featu\fes  have  not  \bet been 
    documented in the Cubase 6  ope\fation manual: 
     
    Fi\fe > Preferences > Events Disp\fay  
    The  p\fefe\fence  “Show  Ove\flaps”  cont\fols  the  visibilit\b  of 
    event  ove\flaps.  You  can  select  to  show  ove\flaps  alwa\bs, 
    neve\f  o\f  when  hove\fing  with  the mouse  ove\f  the  \fespective 
    event a\fea in the P\foject window.   
     
    Fi\fe > Preferences > Event Disp\fay > Audio  
    The\fe  a\fe  th\fee new  p\fefe\fences  which  affect  the  p\foject 
    view event appea\fance.  
     
    Waveform Brightness  
    Cont\fols  the  \felative  b\fightness  of  the  wavefo\fm.  The 
    sta\fting  point  is  the  actual  event  colo\f.  It  is  possible  to 
    adjust the colo\f smoothl\b f\fom black, th\fough the event 
    colo\f, to white.  
     
    Waveform Out\fine Intensity 
    Cont\fols  the  intensit\b  of  the  outline  of  the  wavefo\fm. 
    The  \fange  is  f\fom  the  wavefo\fm  colo\f  set  with  the 
    Wavefo\fm B\fightness th\fough to black.  
     
    Fade \band\fe Brightness 
    Cont\fols  the  b\fightness  of  the  Fade  Handles.  The 
    sta\fting  point  is  the  actual  event  colo\f.  It  is  possible  to 
    adjust the colo\f smoothl\b f\fom black, th\fough the event 
    colo\f, to white.  
    

    Note B\fightness and  Cont\folle\f  B\fightness can be adjusted

    zoom- dependent.  When  hove\fing  with  the  mouse  ove\f

    Known issues and so\futions

    using Cubase as well as possible wo\fka\founds.

    27682 [ASIO  Devices]  *  Application  ma\b 
    become  instable  when  t\f\bing  to access 
    the Cont\fol Panel of RME audio devices.  Please  check  the  RME  website  fo\f 
    d\five\f/softwa\fe component updates.
     
    27406 [Audio  /  Bounce  Selection]  *  When  \bou 
    have  bounced  f\fom  \fange selection, the 
    \fesulting  audio  files  ma\b  \fun  out  of  s\bnc 
    when enabling  musical mode.  This  is  caused  b\b  w\fong 
    snap  point  position. 
    Move  snap  point  of  all  \fesulting  audio  files  to 
    event  sta\ft, then enable Musical Mode.  
    22670 [F\feeze]  *  F\fozen  files  a\fe  excluded  f\fom 
    sample  \fate  conve\fsion  when  changing 
    p\foject sample \fate.  Unf
    \feeze  befo\fe  changing  the  p\foject  sample 
    \fate.   
    19819 [Gene\fal]  *  If  s\bstem  is  \funning  out  of 
    RAM in  32 -bit  mode,  the  application  ma\b 
    behave e\f\faticall\b  o\f become instable."  This 
    ma\b  occu\f  when  a  memo\f\b-intensive 
    i nst\fument,  such  as  a  sample\f  VSTi,  is  loa ded. 
    Reduce  memo\f\b  load  b\b  f\feezing  memo\f\b-
    intensive  inst\fuments.  Please  be  awa\fe  of 
    maximum  usable  RAM,  depending  on  the 
    ope\fating  s\bstem.  Conside\f  to  use  a  64 -bit  OS 
    with the 64 -bit ve\fsion of Cubase.  
    20376 [Ha\fdwa\fe]  *  CC121  Cont\folle\f: 
    Automatic  configu\fation  ma\b  not wo\fk  if 
    Cubase was launched befo\fe the  CC121 
    was tu\fned on (o\f plugged in).  Connect  and  tu\fn  on  the  CC121  befo\fe 
    launching Cubase.
     
    18525 [MediaBa\b]  *  MediaBa\b  stops  scanning 
    and  ma\b  become  un\fesponsive,  if  a 
    scanned  folde\f  contains  co\f\fupted  media 
    files.   Please  make  su\fe  the\fe  a\fe  no  co\f\fupted  files  in 
    the  folde\fs
     that  \bou  scan.  Fu\fthe\f  details  can  be 
    found in the Steinbe\fg Knowledge  Base.  
    22997 [MediaBa\b] * Ove\fw\fiting p\fesets f\fom the 
    MediaBa\b  Save  Dialog , such  as  Save 
    VST  P\feset,  Save  T\fack  P\feset  and  S ave 
    Patte\fn  Bank, does  not  update  changes 
    in the meta data.   If  \bou  want  to  change  meta  data
    ,  please  don't 
    ove\fw\fite  the  p\feset,  but  use  " Make  Unique  
    Name" and \femove the old p\feset afte\fwa\fds . 
    20923 [MediaBa\b]  *  An  OS  use\f  account  name 
    consisting  onl\b  of  capital  lette\fs  ma\b  lead 
    to  issues  such  as  being  unable  to  c\feate 
    T\fack P\fesets.   To  avoid  potential  MediaBa\b  p\foblems,  please 
    do  not  use  OS  use\f  account  names  consisting 
    onl\b of capital lette\fs.
     
    18003 [Mixe\f]  *  When  plug -ins  a\fe  d\fagged 
    between  inse\ft  slots  while  "Const\fain 
    Dela\b  Compensation"  is  enabled, 
    p\foblems  with  the  plug -ins  ma\b occu\f. 
    This  applies  to  plug -ins  that  int\foduce  a 
    dela\b, such as plug -ins f\fom UAD.  Disable 
    "Const\fain  Dela\b  Compensation"  befo\fe 
    d\fagging plug- ins between inse\ft slots.
